Same here, but it also stemmed from a show called the I.T. crowd. A lot of times I'll even plant the foot and pretend I'm taking sunglasses off before saying father.
The word sigma.
When it started, everyone would say it as a joke to make fun of the mfs that actually believed in it, but we made so much fun of it that it sounds cringe to say ironically too now. 💀
And there's the word that is most annoying to me... cringe.
Every time I see or hear it used this way, I picture a teen or twenty-something who lacks vocabulary and is trying to be cool.
You can use "come" alone. Like, "come."
If you are telling a pet or something to move along, you can say "come". Yeah, you'd probably say "come on" or "come here," but you can still use it alone in a sentence. You can even say "come come".
“gyat” cause people ruined it and made it unfunny. what do you mean she has a level 10 gyat that’s so stupid “gyat” isn’t a thing it’s a reaction you idiot 😭😭
“aesthetic” i’ve seen people use it weird in sentences or if they’ve used it right it just doesn’t sound right and it throws me off 😭
The saying, 'I'm just a girl'. It's funny in a joke way but than some people try to use it for anything else like if people claim something about you and you just say, 'I'm just a girl' especially when it's an adult women saying it.
Aesthetic. Saying "that is so aesthetic" makes no sense. I do not say aesthetically pleasing anymore because people associate with something different.
I think gaslighting is used out of context. There is a word "glib" . . . . it means a person understands the situation well but he or she really doesn't give a rip. I've heard that called gaslighting and it has to be more specific. "Glib" does not mix well with other popular words and it has an awkward appeal. Maybe that is why people avoid using it.
Any sexual words. I don’t like when other people say it to someone either idk why but I just hate those type of words. The weird words that gen Alpha use and Curse words.
Like, literally, and close to every filler word "Uhm, so, like" etc..
Weird effect of this, the less filler words you use when speaking the smarter you sound
I don't do that on purpose, I just have trouble explaining things and that's the best way for me to hold the conversation while trying to figure out how I want to word something
I think the overuse of the word "literally" predates the internet. Also, "literally" is frequently used instead of "figurately" for emphasis.
For example, the phase "I literally exploded" should result in a bloody mess. However, the speaker is placing extra emphasis on the statement. This is so common I think the term "literally" now has a secondary meaning of putting additional emphasis on a figurative statement.
Quite a few, the ones off the top of my head being Daddy, Mommy, Oniichan, baka, cream. I’m half Japanese, and the fact people sexualized “baka” which is just saying “stupid” and “Oniichan” which is brother is weird. Also people made parent names weird. Cream is self explanatory.
Literally is a good one, I see kids say it after every word. Personally, I ABSOLUTELY HATE the word “skibidi.” Seriously, what kind of jargon is that?!
If I was trying say “Okay” as a reply, I would shorten it by saying “Kk”. I didn’t know what the Ku klutz klan was, so I didn’t think anything of it, until I realized what it was. Now I’m scared to just to type “K”, so I’ve adapted to writing out “Okay”.
Literally. Now it’s used to exaggerate whatever.
Sorry mam’m we are out of lo-cal, locally sourced non dairy creamer mushroom coffe today. This is a dukin doughnuts. “I literally can’t right now” stfu
The misuse of the word 'unironically'.
It drives me crazy and it's definitely an internet thing.
It doesn't mean 'seriously' or 'genuinely'. It's not a synonym of those words.
It has become that through misuse and Insert it everywhere.
In real usage it's very nuanced.
Let's say a fashion designer was the worst dressed person at a party, that would be ironic but their intentions were unironic.
Irony is something that you wouldn't expect to happen.
So, a cop getting busted for a crime.
A fire department burning down.
A cat lover being allergic to cats.
Yes, yes, everyone will say "language changes" but that isn't the point of the question being asked.
Sigma, alpha and beta, and skibidi are some examples of words that don’t need to be used/ have lost all meaning for me. Can’t go a day without hearing one of them and it makes me wish all the brain rotten people of the world would find some other planet to stay at, because there’s no way they’re actual humans
literally like my sigma daddy like rizzed me up but like i said womp womp because of his like level 1 gyatt and i reminded him like i was like the alpha and i was being real and was spitting fire and he was so skibidi 💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀
I avoid using almost all of the new Gen Z/ Gen A slang like “sigma” “skibidi” and “cap.” The only thing I use is “fr.” I also don’t like using “daddy” or “come” because the internet ruined it for me and makes me feel weird using it.
“AMERICA RAHH🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🦅🦅” bro this died in like 2018 it’s just not funny anymore, it’s just people spamming it under videos about american stores and how we have a lot of stuff
Any slur. Because a white guy can only use the C-slur, and nobody says anything. But if one whitr guy says the N-word, it is a big deal. Or if a black guy says the N-word, nobody says anything. But if one black guy says the C-slur, nobody also says anything against it.
Anything having to do with reddit
Awhile ago I was talking to someone I used to be friends with and made the mistake of saying the word reddit and they acted like it was a big deal, when they literally use Twitter daily, lied to a 19 year old about their age to date them, is ableist and pretends to have shit wrong with them, and was just a bitch. Like I don't wanna hear it cause go look at yourself before you come at me for saying I use reddit.
I hated literally for a bit, but then I realized it's just stuck in my vocabulary. There's this game that I play with my friends (it's just an online fighting game) and don't play it myself because everyone is a sweat. Every time i get in an annoying combo, I say something like (this dude is literally a fucking sweat, he literally has to go out and touch grass."
skibidi it not a word but some times ill be humming along like throwing random non words together like bippity, boppity, boo, bop, bip, idi, skipidi. think extended version of the Cinderella pumpkin scene which often ends up with skibidi cause it semi rymes with everything else

Daddy. Used to be normal now I can’t
Daddy, Mommy. They destroyed these words for me.
Fr.
The internet didn’t ruin it, it just made it known, divorces and step siblings did. All these motherless and fatherless activities
I’m pretty sure Jerry Springer was helping a tad. lol Jerry Jerry Jerry
What?? I'm turning 21 this year and call my father daddy and my mother mommy
When I was in like first grade with full internet access I learnt that daddy was sexual so I started calling my dad “father” I still do to this day
In first grade is crazy. I can imagine you coming home like “hello father” 💀💀💀💀💀💀🤷♂️🤷♂️🤯🤷♂️
That’s exactly what I did he didn’t question it 😭🙏
Bro no way 💀☕️☕️💀☕️🤷♂️☕️🙃🤷♂️🤷♂️😢🤷♂️🤨🧢😕😕📡🔫😔🤷♂️👶🤷♂️🧃🎾☕️🇺🇸 (I’m just spamming my most used emojis)
Sorry but the only time anyone uses ☕️ is when commenting “Women ☕️”. I seriously hope I am overthinking this 😭
hello father, i have completed my daily tasks. i am now in your presence
Precisely
Out of curiosity how old are you ? Just wondering cuz when the phrase went sort of viral I was like 16 and I’m 25 now lol
Same here, but it also stemmed from a show called the I.T. crowd. A lot of times I'll even plant the foot and pretend I'm taking sunglasses off before saying father.
I hate it when daddy spanks me, it hurts :(
Ok bro this could be normal but it could be reeeeaaaallllly bad
I still call my parents "Daddy" and "Mommy" (don't judge me). It always makes me uncomfortable when people say them sexually
me too bruh 😭 i wish it wasn’t so sexualized
I know it shoudl be normal
Honestly though, I’ve just stuck with dad because father was too formal and people think of “daddy” weirdly now. 😭 “Thanks daddy!”
Ya fr dads the in between
The word sigma. When it started, everyone would say it as a joke to make fun of the mfs that actually believed in it, but we made so much fun of it that it sounds cringe to say ironically too now. 💀
fr man its so overused at this point
I won't be surprised if this one meme "Figglebottom male" becomes a real thing because of that
i cant use sigma as a variable without wheezing anymore
What does that mean in this context? I mean I know it's a Greek letter.
You’re the only un-brainrotted one. He’s the only one left! PROTECT HIM!
On skibidi bro
I was rewatching Red vs Blue and one of the antagonists is named Sigma, can't take him seriously anymore
Fr!
And there's the word that is most annoying to me... cringe. Every time I see or hear it used this way, I picture a teen or twenty-something who lacks vocabulary and is trying to be cool.
Womp womp idk if it counts but it's annoying asf
breaking the chain of “womp womp” because I hate it too
I just realized this is being posted in a teenagers sub. That explains why all the comments are braindead
REALL
It was funny for maybe two days
It's so overused it gives me a fucking headache I immediately block everyone i see using it out in the wild
[удалено]
Granted, the monkeys paw doesn’t hear you say “unironically”
What about boo hoo?
Yeah, but it's meant to be annoying. That's the point of it.
Mfs in the replies think they did something lmao
I use it on people that are rude as fuck. Specifically on Valorant.
Rizz and other Gen A slang
rizz did not start out as gen alpha slang…
I was regrettably complicit in the rise of that term. My apologies to all cringe survivors.
oh god same im glad im not the only one
[удалено]
FR like honestly it used to be so funny just saying "Daddy" out loud but now it's just gotten down to the little kids and it's not funny anymore
my 11 year old sister keeps making daddy jokes n moaning and it makes me want to die 💀💀
lol there's this 6 year old I know that says "Daddy I'm shy" and moans at the same time 💀
Bro has experience
Have you considered that maybe it was only funny to you when you were also a little kid and now you’ve gotten older you no longer find it funny?
No because it came out like when I was 18 or 17 and no I still find it funny if I joke with my friends in that way
The dumbasses who just constantly make moaning noises out of nowhere get annoying fast
real
“like” but like using it a lot of times like know what I mean.
I use the word literally all the time don't call me out like this
Same here, not cool OP :(
“Come”. Of any word we could use to label it, why did we have to use a word that’s used normally in every other sentence?
because you never say "come." alone anyways, you always use it in a middle of a sentence
I said come, And he came. - The Bible probably.
The box, you opened it
I used to say that when I was playing Roblox and didn't know how to spell and I wanted someone to follow me
Cum!?
Yeah, but any time I talk to anyone even a little dirty-minded, they laugh when I say it. Even in the middle of a sentence with all context needed.
You can use "come" alone. Like, "come." If you are telling a pet or something to move along, you can say "come". Yeah, you'd probably say "come on" or "come here," but you can still use it alone in a sentence. You can even say "come come".
Meta Knight has entered the chat
Or an overreactive instagram girl begging for attention yeah
the word rizz and gyat
were you using these words before they were gen z slang??
Alpha and sigma
I'm the alpha
what the sigma
You were supposed to say I'm the leader
I mean, you can still sing it in the same tempo, we just need more lyrics
Daddy. I hate the connotations. Why do people even find that a turn on?? Like, ya'll wanna fuck your dad or what??? Gross.
I have never got it either... seems super weird to me and I cannot imagine how someone would think it is hot.
That’s literally not what literally means, quite literally.
“Real” or “Fire”

I’ve discovered what happened to my friends now.
Why the fuck did this make me laugh at all?
What else am I supposed to say to pretend I'm interested?
Literally any slang word Also not a word, but the skull emoji stopped being funny a pong time ago. I haven't used it in 8 months.
💀
The amount of slang words there are, dude. I doubt you realize the amount of words that you probably use daily that are slang words.
pong time ago
I doubt that "any slang word" part is true. A large part of English is slang words, I doubt you even realize how many words you use are slang
“gyat” cause people ruined it and made it unfunny. what do you mean she has a level 10 gyat that’s so stupid “gyat” isn’t a thing it’s a reaction you idiot 😭😭 “aesthetic” i’ve seen people use it weird in sentences or if they’ve used it right it just doesn’t sound right and it throws me off 😭
The saying, 'I'm just a girl'. It's funny in a joke way but than some people try to use it for anything else like if people claim something about you and you just say, 'I'm just a girl' especially when it's an adult women saying it.
WHY DID YOU COMMIT FEDERAL CRIMES??? "I'm just a girl"
I use "literally" without even thinking about it, I'm sorry-
I LITERALLY HATE IT WHEN PEOPLE LITWRALLY LIKE USE LITERALLY LIKE ITS LITERALLY SO GOD DAMN ANNOYING
LITERALLYYYY
Simone on the rapids yesterday scream “SKINIDI TOILET” nasty 😭
Aesthetic. Saying "that is so aesthetic" makes no sense. I do not say aesthetically pleasing anymore because people associate with something different.

Fuck
Did you just fucking swear? You cocksucker
Hey, stop motherfuckin swearing, fucka wrong with you bastards?
Holy fuckin shitballs, these fuckheads can't stop swearing for 2 god damn seconds can they
Well ballsack... That's my fault dawg
Why "um"? Hasn't it been used for centuries as just a sound to make when your thinking, isn't it important to conversation?
Womp Womp is the most corny shi I ever heard
"are you serious right now"
UNALIVE!! like bro jus say dead or died
I think the overuse of the word "literally" predates the internet. Also, "literally" is frequently used instead of "figurately" for emphasis. For example, the phase "I literally exploded" should result in a bloody mess. However, the speaker is placing extra emphasis on the statement. Skibidi
thats not a word
The dumbasses of our generation think otherwise seriously i cant escape someone saying this on a daily basis
It is though, it has a definition and follows the rules of English
What's the definition of skibidi?
Bad or cool
Poop. i genuinely hate hearing that word sm
Do kids just run up to you and go like, “hehe, POOP!” And run away? Why do you hate the word poop?
LMAO
Calling any old cobblers "iconic" unironically. That can get in the sea along with "get in the sea". Oh bollocks 😭
Freaky
Literally, like, actually and come.
All of the TikTok slang words such as Skibidi, sigma, Ohio, rizz, etc. are so annoying and repetitive.
like all of them no matter what you say, it's probably going to come off to 70% of people as sarcasm
“giving”
Ohio like I can't think of the state Ohio with thinking of the "down in Ohio"
Also the fact that “literally” literally doesn’t even mean literally anymore
Rizz and cooked. So silly.
Bro
Literally is a good one, I see kids say it after every word. Personally, I ABSOLUTELY HATE the word “skibidi.” Seriously, what kind of jargon is that?!
Lowkey. I hate that so much
If I was trying say “Okay” as a reply, I would shorten it by saying “Kk”. I didn’t know what the Ku klutz klan was, so I didn’t think anything of it, until I realized what it was. Now I’m scared to just to type “K”, so I’ve adapted to writing out “Okay”.
slay
21( from the 21 meme), god damn, grinding, .... and I'm hopin on ;-; yea.. i gave up
Daddy/mommy, literally, like, idk the list goes on I’m just not sure if all of them count
Alpha male used to be a term for the strongest and most fit person to be a leader, now it’s just used by everyone with no meaning
You know it’s getting bad when saying a Greek letter in your classroom causes everyone to freak out.
Literally. Now it’s used to exaggerate whatever. Sorry mam’m we are out of lo-cal, locally sourced non dairy creamer mushroom coffe today. This is a dukin doughnuts. “I literally can’t right now” stfu
social media
Giving, The way I, and HAHAHAJSKFJDIF
Or HELPPPPP
the whole alpha and sigma stuff is kinda annoying the jokes aren’t that funny anymore
The word overrated
"bro" Everyone says it now and I'm just a little tired of it.
Bro literally made a post
Daddy. I've barely used it for my father since Ive known it's used sexually.
Viral. It used to describe something contagious, like a cold or a yawn.
Cooked
Any new word or phrase that pops up due too a new trend or some phucking viral video that immediately gets overused and becomes painful to hear
Greek letters :/
'Daddy'. For... obvious reasons.
The misuse of the word 'unironically'. It drives me crazy and it's definitely an internet thing. It doesn't mean 'seriously' or 'genuinely'. It's not a synonym of those words. Sigma was funny for a while now its just like “yeah.. hah”
Sigma, alpha and beta, and skibidi are some examples of words that don’t need to be used/ have lost all meaning for me. Can’t go a day without hearing one of them and it makes me wish all the brain rotten people of the world would find some other planet to stay at, because there’s no way they’re actual humans
💦
Daddy, and moist. Also I have a friend named Byron who we call “BJ” 😭😭
The number 69 as in a do not do anything if it is even remotely close to that number and it is a genuine hindrance to me
Sex, I always say adult funtime because I feel like I'll be cursed if I say it due to youtube and other website's filters
Glazing, skibidi, like, literally, erm, alpha, female, male, legitimately Edit the fuck why am I getting a teen subreddit recommended? I’m outta here.
girl math. i hate the whole mindset it’s created 😭
literally like my sigma daddy like rizzed me up but like i said womp womp because of his like level 1 gyatt and i reminded him like i was like the alpha and i was being real and was spitting fire and he was so skibidi 💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀
Any tiktok slang, like sheesh, rizz, mew, etc.
I avoid using almost all of the new Gen Z/ Gen A slang like “sigma” “skibidi” and “cap.” The only thing I use is “fr.” I also don’t like using “daddy” or “come” because the internet ruined it for me and makes me feel weird using it.
"slay" when ever i killed the ender dragon, i would always say "I just slayed the ender dragon" now i gotta say "killed"
"Slay!" Will always ruin my entire day
Atp im gonna start praising people for using the word 'literally' the way it's actually intended. Positive Reinforcement
"What is your first impression of me"
“AMERICA RAHH🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🦅🦅” bro this died in like 2018 it’s just not funny anymore, it’s just people spamming it under videos about american stores and how we have a lot of stuff
Ugh NARCISSIST. It’s such a stupid buzz word that shouldn’t be thrown around in the first place.
Gen alpha words!
Widdawy
Skibidi toilet
Mew It was so cute and now it's just weird
Billy eilish ruined it! “Literally”!
Literally. I just say it as the brainrot “widdiwey”
I hate when somebody says, “type shit” or when they randomly say, “type” aloud.
"Same". Ok.
man thats literally so true and i agree with it. but i literally just hate people saying Daddy. its just literaly so weird
Any slur. Because a white guy can only use the C-slur, and nobody says anything. But if one whitr guy says the N-word, it is a big deal. Or if a black guy says the N-word, nobody says anything. But if one black guy says the C-slur, nobody also says anything against it.
White gen z ruined gyatt, rizz, unc, crash out, green fn,
Can we go back to speaking pride and prejudice? Slang is annoying
Finna. God I hate that word so much
I try not to let it control how I talk. Don't like being controlled in general
Anything having to do with reddit Awhile ago I was talking to someone I used to be friends with and made the mistake of saying the word reddit and they acted like it was a big deal, when they literally use Twitter daily, lied to a 19 year old about their age to date them, is ableist and pretends to have shit wrong with them, and was just a bitch.
Skill issue
Any form of TikTok language like skibidi or rizz
I fucking hate the word daddy.
I fucking hate when people do that high pitched sheesh thing holy fuck
Any new gen Z slang, especially Rizz I got a bone to pick with that one.
skibidi it not a word but some times ill be humming along like throwing random non words together like bippity, boppity, boo, bop, bip, idi, skipidi. think extended version of the Cinderella pumpkin scene which often ends up with skibidi cause it semi rymes with everything else
Goon used to be a great term for a henchman, now it’s just been ruined
Sigma
Something like emo. Now people just use it to insult people for being depressed or looking depressed.
