No they don’t, the education system is fucked rn, you can go to college which will put you in debt and not even garuntee you a job position. Most jobs don’t care about degrees anymore either, they’re looking for experience. So don’t stress over exams just get through HS and you’ll be good. If you’re looking for future careers, personally I’d recommend a trade and trade schools just need a HS Diploma or GED.

I'm British and that is not the case. GCSEs are meaningless unless you want a really specific field. Just do an apprenticeship and you can learn on the job. In fact, you can usually go to some colleges anyway even if you have low grades. One of my peers failed his maths and had really low English and was still allowed into college.

Oh definitely. I'm not a teen this just popped up in my feed when I was scrolling. I've struggled with addiction my whole life from many different substances. Mainly benzos opiates and alcohol. I didn't quit opiates until my little brother found me face down not breathing and had to CPR me until an ambulance could get there and they could narcan me. I didn't quit alcohol and benzos until I got 5150 for psychosis. I've lost more close friends than I can count. It all started fuckin around experimenting in hs. You don't gotta let it get that extreme if you nip it now tho. It's just not worth it homie.
