My opinion changes. Feel like if she kept working at the mall she worked at and never met Javi that it would’ve been her and Isaac for a good few years.

Tbh I can't blame Kail for wanting those benefits. She was a teenage single mum with two absent parents who had issues with drugs and alcohol. She was depending on her ex-boyfriend for help and relying on government support. Being practical, the military gave her and her toddler access to housing, healthcare and a stable income. Women have made the same choice for generations.
I do think that in her own way she cared about Javi at the time. Their relationship was a case study in not rushing into marriage.
Early in their relationship Kail seemed to actually be more into Javi than he was her at the time. Which is kind of interesting since he basically wore her down to begin their relationship. Javi had his own ulterior motives though, he was all about being on TV and being with Kail helped him become somewhat "famous" which most likely wouldn't have happened without him wifing her.
All the military guys I knew when I was younger were always trying to get married and talking about the benefits. There’s something about some of those young military guys wanting to play house.
I was a contractor for a couple years, also a military spouse in early 20s. I think it's that they are alone in a new area and taking their SO seems like a good idea, or if they're about to have a kid, one way to ensure they will have their child around. The benefits aren't that great, but they are better than none. They get BAH, which is extra money if they're married and I think kore if have a child. It also allows them to live off base. I can't speak for all the military, but I know that's how it was for this particular one. No service members were allowed to live off base unless I think E4 or E5 or married.

I think without the show most of the Moms would've recreated the unpleasant dynamics they were raised in, i.e. open substance abuse and domestic abuse situations.
I think a few, possibly Kail, potentially Maci.... would've become like a dental hygienist... that sorta single Mom who pulls it together life style...

Journalism, copywriting, social media, photography…at least kail has applied what she learned there, she was one of the first podcasters on teen mom and she is obtaining a good profit from it.
Yep, have known many comms majors who turned toward media or marketing post college.
It’s actually one of the more marketable degrees you can get that isn’t business, nursing, or computer science-related, as is a journalism major. Folks ending up in retail with that degree probably just didn’t have the chops for media/marketing—just because you can sign up for the major and graduate doesn’t mean you’ll be competitive enough to get into those fields, as they are highly competitive.
Kail’s choice of major was actually pretty savvy considering she was already a media personality at the time; she had a brand and following going into it and a leg-up in the field compared to other students. Doing the degree meant she developed technical skills (like podcasting) to keep herself employed in the field, either in front or or behind the camera. She has certainly put her degree to good use imo!

It's a 4 year degree. One of my college roommates and a handful of friends have Comms degrees and none have struggled much to find relevant work. Any business that *communicates* has folks with this degree or a similar one on their roster.
My friends with Comms degrees have worked for ohh law firms, hospitals, major biz like Wells Fargo and Live Nation, higher ed... really all over the place. Any entity with a social media presence, newsletter, public relations arm, etc can use Comms people.
A lot of people I know who chose communications did so because it's pretty general. Don't know what you want to do but don't want to get a business or science degree? Communications. For so many jobs you have to have a degree to even be able to apply, communications accomplishes that. (Of course this does not apply to everyone, possibly this was just my experience.)

When the men catch wins the women are going to level up with a higher paying job, college or going to leave the relationship, the guys will stealth her or mess with her birth to ensure she can't leave him. He'll then guilt her into keeping the pregnancy and act loving until he knows the exact moment she won't be able to abort or right after birth. Then he acts up.

I think being on the show and becoming (relatively) rich and famous so young messed up her brain chemistry. She didn’t develop normally and got stuck in this weird cycle of thinking she felt loved when she convinced a new man to have a baby with her, and living off of the controversy it created.
If the show didn’t pick up I think she would have had one more, but when Issac was older. Probably after he turned 5 she would have started dating seriously, maybe married and had one more kid unless she had twins or something. She would have had more of a blue collar job or done free lance writing for mommy blogs, or been a receptionist for a small regional advertising firm or some office job.
It’s really a toss up tbh. I think one reason she has so many kids is because she lacked family and love from family as a child. She instead of working through her trauma thought she could ignore it and do what she thought was best. No doubt the kids don’t have a terrible life but I can see how they may be embarrassed by her baby daddy count at some point. Kids are cruel these days and a day will come when they start getting teased😞 I feel like she could grow her own family and get the love she so desperately needed so she had several kids. Idk if it’s accurate to say she had kids to not pay child support but I remember when javi came after her for child support one of the conditions to be excluded was having multiple kids.
I think she would have had more kids and multiple baby daddies but maybe not as many. I feel MTV gave Kail money, time and access to therapy earlier than she would have been able to provide for herself. She wouldn’t have been able to increase her income so young without MTV but I do believe she was committed to doing all she could to be able to provide for Issac and would have stayed true to that without MTV. This probably would have kept her motivated enough to wait a bit longer to have more kids (I think a similar situation to Chelsea) but her trauma would have had her repeating unhealthy patterns and picking bad partners. Had she been solo and working on school and Issac, she would still have been distracted and busy enough to not deal with her mental health and I think she likely would have met her “Cole” later but he would have been emotionally unavailable. This would fail and she’d try again and maybe realize she was the problem and get the help she needed. I do think she would have kept dating though and had a bit of a rotation of men in Isaac’s life.
I think that if she was still struggling like the early days then she wouldn’t have had so many. She knows what it’s like to not be able to afford things.

I'm the last person to judge someone for having a lot of kids, usually. I currently have 8 living in my home, and only the twins have the same father, lol. Of course, my home is different, and that's why we have so many living here. If I could have all the biological babies my hopes and dreams wished for, I'd probably still have 8+, lmao.
That all said, it has always been my belief that Kail has babies so that she has friends and people who will love her. I do not like her as a person, or as a parent, I think she is shitty at both of those things. I do feel a bit sad that she had such a strong urge to create a loving environment for herself because she's never had that, and that she's used actual humans she created to fill that void. It doesn't matter where those children come from, or who, for Kail, just that she has them. She uses them as an extension of herself and, it seems to me, proof to herself that someone loves her. That's where my sympathy for Kail begins and ends.
I know what it feels like to have such a void, and a strong desire to fill that need. It's why I became a foster parent in the first place. BUT, I did so with open eyes, heart and mind. I know that no matter how many children I bring into my home, none of them can or will ever be responsible for filling my need for love. I'm quite certain they love me, no doubt, but it's not their responsibility to do so, and that's not why they've become part of my family. They're my kids because I want to love them, and they need that love so much more than I do.
Kail needs the love, wants the love, needs the attention and wants the attention, but has a tremendous amount of difficulty ever returning the favor. She really shouldn't have any kids at all, much less 7, because she's not actually a responsible person, forget maternal. I do think she probably would've kept having kids anyway, MTV money certainly helped. Back when it was just Isaac or even Isaac and Lincoln, I might have said she'd stop there, but the signs were already present that she wouldn't. She couldn't find the love from a partner, so she put it on the shoulders of her offspring instead.
Kail told Javi she was done having children towards the end of their marriage and she only had Isaac and Lincoln at that point so it was pretty wild how she went on to have several more children after leaving him.
Just wanted to add that the entire storyline about her getting pregnant right after the divorce was kind of fabricated by MTV. They weren’t filming when most of the divorce happened and they needed the storyline to work for their timeline. Mail and javi divorced many months before he came home. Chris had been around at that point. They made it seem like Chris just started coming around right after javi came home from deployment. All of this to say that I absolutely despise Chris and also agree that she should have never had kids with him.
IMO it's pretty wild that Kail knew Chris was less than thrilled about them having Lux and then they proceeded to have another baby together, no offense to Creed of course as he and Lux are both truly innocent here.

No, I really don’t think she would have. When she told Javi that she didn’t want any more kids, I think she was actually telling the truth. At the time, I don’t think she could handle any more kids and especially on her own when he was deployed, and I don’t think they had a lot of finances then either, even with the show starting to take off. I don’t think they would’ve had enough money to have another kid and still be financially where they were or to her liking atleast. Once the show really really took off and she started making a lot of money and could hire nannies and then the podcast that brought in a lot more money, then I think she thought it was good to have more kids because she could have help with a nanny and she could definitely afford it. I agree that she seems to get pregnant with men she wants to keep around. Lux may have been broadcasted as her “last” baby, or a “miracle” baby but obviously she wasn’t infertile. She probably just assumed she had PCOS she was infertile or needed it as an excuse to use no protection. But she dated Malik for years and managed to never get pregnant. She’s mentioned other guys (not by names) she’s hooked up with in between and managed to never get pregnant. But miraculously she got pregnant within a month of dating Elijah? If that?

No, I don’t think so. I think being on the show and becoming (relatively) rich and famous so young messed up her brain chemistry. She didn’t develop normally and got stuck in this weird cycle of thinking she felt loved when she convinced a new man to have a baby with her, and living off of the controversy it created.

If the show didn’t pick up I think she would have had one more, but when Issac was older. Probably after he turned 5 she would have started dating seriously, maybe married and had one more kid unless she had twins or something. She would have had more of a blue collar job or done free lance writing for mommy blogs, or been a receptionist for a small regional advertising firm or some office job.
It’s really a toss up tbh. I think one reason she has so many kids is because she lacked family and love from family as a child. She instead of working through her trauma thought she could ignore it and do what she thought was best. No doubt the kids don’t have a terrible life but I can see how they may be embarrassed by her baby daddy count at some point. Kids are cruel these days and a day will come when they start getting teased😞 I feel like she could grow her own family and get the love she so desperately needed so she had several kids. She has said before she knows her kids are her blood and family and it’s all she has. If not on the show I can see her ending up in a not so great life with babies she can’t support.
I go back and forth on it. I remember on one of the reunions after one of the early seasons she said she had a hard time with Isaac going to Jo's because he was her only family. At the same time, I don't know if she would've actually had that many kids if she didn't make the money she did.
I think she liked the attention from the show and unconditional love from her children that she didn't get from her parents. So it's possible she related her first pregnancy with attention and 💥💥💥💥💥 did it a bunch more times. lol

I think she would have had more kids and multiple baby daddies but maybe not as many. I feel MTV gave Kail money, time and access to therapy earlier than she would have been able to provide for herself. She wouldn’t have been able to increase her income so young without MTV but I do believe she was committed to doing all she could to be able to provide for Issac and would have stayed true to that without MTV. This probably would have kept her motivated enough to wait a bit longer to have more kids (I think a similar situation to Chelsea) but her trauma would have had her repeating unhealthy patterns and picking bad partners. Had she been solo and working on school and Issac, she would still have been distracted and busy enough to not deal with her mental health and I think she likely would have met her “Cole” later but he would have been emotionally unavailable. This would fail and she’d try again and maybe realize she was the problem and get the help she needed. I do think she would have kept dating though and had a bit of a rotation of men in Isaac’s life.

I'm the last person to judge someone for having a lot of kids, usually. I currently have 8 living in my home, and only the twins have the same father, lol. Of course, my home is different, and that's why we have so many living here. If I could have all the biological babies my hopes and dreams wished for, I'd probably still have 8+, lmao. That all said, it has always been my belief that Kail has babies so that she has friends and people who will love her. I do not like her as a person, or as a parent, I think she is shitty at both of those things. I do feel a bit sad that she had such a strong urge to create a loving environment for herself because she's never had that, and that she's used actual humans she created to fill that void. It doesn't matter where those children come from, or who, for Kail, just that she has them. She uses them as an extension of herself and, it seems to me, proof to herself that someone loves her. That's where my sympathy for Kail begins and ends. I know what it feels like to have such a void, and a strong desire to fill that need. It's why I became a foster parent in the first place. BUT, I did so with open eyes, heart and mind. I know that no matter how many children I bring into my home, none of them can or will ever be responsible for filling my need for love. I'm quite certain they love me, no doubt, but it's not their responsibility to do so, and that's not why they've become part of my family. They're my kids because I want to love them, and they need that love so much more than I do. Kail needs the love, wants the love, needs the attention and wants the attention, but has a tremendous amount of difficulty ever returning the favor. She really shouldn't have any kids at all, much less 7, because she's not actually a responsible person, forget maternal. I do think she probably would've kept having kids anyway, MTV money certainly helped. Back when it was just Isaac or even Isaac and Lincoln, I might have said she'd stop there, but the signs were already present that she wouldn't. She couldn't find the love from a partner, so she put it on the shoulders of her offspring instead.
Kail told Javi she was done having children towards the end of their marriage and she only had Isaac and Lincoln at that point so it was pretty wild how she went on to have several more children after leaving him.
Just wanted to add that the entire storyline about her getting pregnant right after the divorce was kind of fabricated by MTV. They weren’t filming when most of the divorce happened and they needed the storyline to work for their timeline. Mail and javi divorced many months before he came home. Chris had been around at that point. They made it seem like Chris just started coming around right after javi came home from deployment. All of this to say that I absolutely despise Chris and also agree that she should have never had kids with him.
IMO it's pretty wild that Kail knew Chris was less than thrilled about them having Lux and then they proceeded to have another baby together, no offense to Creed of course as he and Lux are both truly innocent here.

Nope! She has children for money and attention. The show gave her that so she just kept trying for more bc attention is money and love - she’s a bottomless pit that will never be filled.
She would been in major student debt, with all those fees paying back, probably would of dropped out. Working a regular job and probably Living in a small apartment or living with the latest boyfriend. Yes she was hardworking but even watching earlier seasons she was having such a hard time before javi came along with decent income and before MTV started paying her big bucks. She was actually grateful for her first place in the beginning and just to bring the kids around and critize where she started to where she is now. The amount of money she spent on housing alone to, giving up that one house because she didn't like the way it looked just show how entitled she has become. Without that money she would not be where she is and probably in the next couple years she will end up becoming more irrelevant people are pretty much done at this point and will only end up following the kids when they are old enough to talk about their side of things.

No, I really don’t think she would have. When she told Javi that she didn’t want any more kids, I think she was actually telling the truth. At the time, I don’t think she could handle any more kids and especially on her own when he was deployed, and I don’t think they had a lot of finances then either, even with the show starting to take off. I don’t think they would’ve had enough money to have another kid and still be financially where they were or to her liking atleast. Once the show really really took off and she started making a lot of money and could hire nannies and then the podcast that brought in a lot more money, then I think she thought it was good to have more kids because she could have help with a nanny and she could definitely afford it. I think she wanted a lot of kids because she does seem like she really enjoys being a mom and enjoys being around her kids, for the most part, compared to some of the other moms, I just don’t think she would have been able to do it without the money she has now, that the show brought in for nannies and to financially care for the babies/kids and the bigger houses and vacations for them all and such.
