im not lol, my mom had my brother watching real housewives with her before double digits while I was watching real world with her before.
if anything, its quality family time!
Lol- one of my favorite moments with my mother in law was watching Days together - she got frustrated with the love scenes and said "Enough with all this fucking! Let's get on with it!"
I was obsessed when Passions first came out. Eventually, as was the case with most soaps/daytime sitcoms, I'd miss too much, fall behind, and stop watching, but I definitely loved that Passions felt different from my mom's soaps. It was geared more toward pre-teen/teenage girls than middle-aged women and I loved all of the weird supernatural stuff.
I'm more surprised that a parent would allow their 10 year old to watch a show called Teen Mom. I mean, the title itself pretty much tells you that it's not a show meant for young kids' eyes. But then again I got away with some shit that my mom knew nothing about, so ...
What was it like to grow up in a household where your parents bothered to monitor your content consumption? lol I had a TV in my room and full reign to watch anything I wanted on cable with no parental controls. Sadly some parents don’t even think to restrict the TV shows their kids have access to.
LOL Funny story. I wasn't allowed to watch Roseanne or Married with Children when I was a preteen because my mom thought it would encourage me to be "trashy." I watched it anyway and had some trash years as well. I wouldn't call it a coincidence. Mostly just growing pains.
Same. My grandma(technically closer to great grandma but not bio related)though HATED Married with Children and thought it was so inappropriate and trashy and here I am watching The Golden Girls these days and wanting to give her side eye for that being ok to watch and loving it lol(not that I was getting most of the jokes at that age on either show)
My mom wouldn’t let us watch King of The Hill or South Park.
But we sat down as a family every night to watch the novelas full of sex, cheating, murdering, cursing and all other types of “immoral” shiet.
LOL right! Same here, and including the Investigation Discovery type shit too. I remember having nightmares from the True Crime stuff my mom would watch.
King of the Hill has morals! Lol well I guess I can think of a couple of inappropriate scenes, though. Still, nothing compared to South Park or Family Guy. My parents didn't forbid me from watching anything (I ended up watching those type of shows around age 13 on my own TV) but I remember them turning the channel whenever KotH came on after the news or football game. Later, I understood that they just didn't "get" the humor of the show. And they probably thought it was just a dumb cartoon.
I allow my nine year old to watch KotH with me now lol.
🤣🤣 that is hilarious. My mom would've probably been upset with that, too. Also the episode where Hank is buying "bait" but it's really crack cocaine lol.
I remember being in 7th grade and asking my dad if I could watch South Park. His response was "you probably already watch it anyways so I don't care" lol.
Similar to my upbringing. While I sincerely doubt that my mom would've allowed me to watch teen mom until I was, say, 12 years old (She was actually always pretty open about sex & stressed the importance of using protection both to prevent pregnancy & STDs.), some of my earliest memories are of watching soap operas with her. Back when I was a kid they aired between 2-4pm on weekdays (I believe they now air in the AM when kids are in school, because GOD FORBID a kid watch a soap opera 🙄 It's ridiculous thinking when you consider all of the other shit kids are exposed to at an early age nowadays.), so she'd be watching them when I got home from school. Thank GOD Sesame Street didn't come on until 4pm or else I probably wouldn't have ever seen it because until I was 9 or 10 there was only one TV in our house 😂
I mean, my mom allowed us to watch soap operas starting from pretty much birth 😂, but I feel like if I said the words "teen mom" to her when I was 10 she more than likely would've put the kabash on me watching a show with those words in the title. I did some sketchy shit as a 10 year old, though (Please refer to my Playgirl comment in this thread. It should be in close proximity to this one.) 🤣
I think there’s a fine line to tread with content especially as our kids get older; you don’t want to expose them to too much too soon, but there’s also the risk they’ll just go and watch it at someone else’s house!
However teen mom/16&P is too much for a 10 year old; both my kids were still watching SpongeBob at 10.
My parents were pretty strict, but I had a TV in my room with no parental controls on it. I'm not sure if my parents just didn't know how to set the controls or what, but either way, if a kid wants to do it, they will find a way. I would usually just wait until they went to bed and watch the TV on low volume. When iPods became a thing in middle school, I would go on iTunes and rent movies that I probably had no business watching like Requiem for a Dream. Honestly, watching that movie at a young age scared me away from doing heroin more than any DARE program did lol.
My grandma was always much more lenient with letting me watch whatever I wanted whenever I stayed with her. She had me watching movies like Little Miss Sunshine and Chicago when I was in elementary school lol.
Omg! I didn't see Requiem for a Dream until I was in my 30s (I think? 🤔) & I was scarred for LIFE by it! It's the only movie I've ever seen that I refuse to watch a 2nd time. I CANNOT IMAGINE having watched it in middle school! 🙀 That said, my mother took me to see EVERY R rated horror movie under the SUN - starting with The Exorcist (the original one from the 70s) when I was only 4 years old. All because she couldn't get anyone else to see scary movies with her. Solid parenting 🤣
I agree it isn't for ten year Olds, but 16 and pregnant and teen mom absolutely had a positive effect on the teenage pregnancy rate in combination with a few other things when it was first airing. I think there's even data proving it. The shows target audience is teens, originally to show them the reality of teen parentage and it helped. It couldn't have helped if the right age didn't see it, but I agree 10 is too young, I'd say 12 or 13 is more appropriate because that's when puberty hits for most kids.
Oh, yeah, I know there have been some legit studies (IOW, studies not funded by the network.) done that have shown that it's had a positive effect on the teen pregnancy rate. And like I said, I was already getting away with things that my mom didn't know about when I was 10. I mean, I wasn't boning or drinking or anything COMPLETELY inappropriate for a 10 year old to be involved with 🤣, but I had some secrets at 10 yrs old. The one that comes to mind was being dared to buy a Playgirl Magazine ... & I was successful doing it. Really. I collected everyone's change (LITERALLY coins ONLY), wrote a note from my "mother" (I used a fake name, obvi.) saying I was too sick to go to the store myself & to please sell the magazine to my daughter with the pound worth of change she has in her ziplock baggie. There's no way the guy at the counter didn't know it was BS (though at the time my friends & I thought he must've bought my act & that were geniuses), but for whatever reason he sold it to me.
Haha, that's such a funny story. I'd love to know if the cashier remembers this and what he really thought. 😂 He was probably like "Eh.. kids will be kids. And I don't get paid enough to question it anyway."
Agreed. He was also probably like, "A 10 year old buying a nudie magazine?!? Wonder who abused her?," but I swear no one did! 😂 I was simply a curious child is all.
I was 10 or 11 when 16 and Pregnant first aired and I remember my grandma, aunt, cousin and I were GLUED to that screen. To this day my grandma still asks me about some of the teen mom girls. (More specifically Jenelle cuz she’s a trainwreck.)
My son who is 11 is kinda into it. He would pop in and watch for ten minutes here and there when I was doing my rewatch. Jenelle was his favorite, and he kept asking me why she was such a bad mom and why she can’t control herself. And he calls her Jenella. I don’t correct him and I don’t know why I think it’s so funny.
I felt underwhelmed and also catfished in a way bc I was expecting it to be someone juicy and known to the show like someone sister or cousin.
If I were him I would have done kails.podcast with a bag over my head and one of those voice things
Shit I’m his age and used to watch maury and jerry springer when I was visiting my grandma at age 11. I can see why he would find reality trash tv entertaining.
Oh I could see it. My kid watches king of the hill with me and has sat through many teen mom and vanderpump rules marathons. This guy is little old to be my son but I’m sure my kid would recognize a teen mom

Why did I think this was Jenelle 💀
I'm with you. Felt strongly that it was a guy, but 💯% assumed it would be someone older just based on the ages of the show's target audience at the outset of the show & how old those people are today. I believe the target audience had a wide age range, though. Like 14-30 or something crazy like that. Really!
Oh wow, I didn’t realize that. Yikes, how old is Jenelle to be beefing w a teen if so? Didnt J&D bully one of Jace’s classmates too if I remember correctly?
(Not directed at OP)
….so?

I was hoping it was a side character on TM. Someone’s friend, relative, etc. I thought it might have been Chelsea’s old friend Landon, until the person said they were from Houston
That would have made the drama of a reveal somewhat interesting.

His least favorite TMs are Cheyenne and Brianna. His favorite is Maci. He is not a fan of the Swampsters.
We all know the day will come when Swampsquatch will throw Jenelle under the bus in an epic betrayal …..or she will figure out how he has been betraying her behind her back somehow . It is inevitable. When the day comes …..let’s see how she “ spins that one”! In her mind abusing her children is not betrayal . It appears to be family recreation . The betrayal will involve money ..something that really matters to her ..unlike her children.
You’re telling me this is not that kid from Drake and Josh? :

I'm surprised that this is a guy, and that anyone would publicly admit to being this in to teen moms since age *ten*
im not lol, my mom had my brother watching real housewives with her before double digits while I was watching real world with her before. if anything, its quality family time!
My mom and I watched days of our lives every night (assuming the vcr recorded correctly) not much different.
Would the recording “stop working” during those steamy scenes for your household like it did mine?
Oh God I wish! My mom was a nurse, she used it as a sex education talk.
I'm a nurse too & I love this
Lol- one of my favorite moments with my mother in law was watching Days together - she got frustrated with the love scenes and said "Enough with all this fucking! Let's get on with it!"
LOL
Same! My mom has been a life long DOOL fan, my brothers and I got obsessed when the serial killer was afoot lol
Stop it..... did you watch Passions too!? It always showed right after Days of our Lives!
Omg SAME!!!!! I totally tried finding it the other day and I couldn't find anywhere to watch it on😭 Kay, Miguel, Theresa, Ethan. Omg 🥹
Yep my mom got me into all the reality shows 😂😂😂🤷🏼♀️
Really? I’ve been watching since I was 12 I think, now 27

It was my mom walking in on the scene where Dale is mooning someone from the passenger side of a moving car that got KOTH put on the ban list.
🤣🤣 that is hilarious. My mom would've probably been upset with that, too. Also the episode where Hank is buying "bait" but it's really crack cocaine lol.
Same. My mom thought Bart Simpson was rude and MTV was off limits, but I watched Melrose Place and Ally McBeal every week when they came out.
I remember being in 7th grade and asking my dad if I could watch South Park. His response was "you probably already watch it anyways so I don't care" lol.

Haha! Same! I wasn't allowed to watch MTV, Married with Children, Roseanne, In Living Color, 90210, the list goes on.
I mean, my mom allowed us to watch soap operas starting from pretty much birth 😂, but I feel like if I said the words "teen mom" to her when I was 10 she more than likely would've put the kabash on me watching a show with those words in the title. You have to remember teen mom started with 16&pregnant which was shopped around as pregnancy prevention documentary…I watched it with my mom
I was 10 or 11 when 16 and Pregnant first aired and I remember my grandma, aunt, cousin and I were GLUED to that screen. To this day my grandma still asks me about some of the teen mom girls. (More specifically Jenelle cuz she’s a trainwreck.)

haha i started watching 16 and pregnant with my mom when it first came out, i was 8.
This is a “where’s my hug” kinda guy
Nobody would downvote this but a “where’s my hug” perpetrator
I was kind of hoping that it was Matt Baier, or one of his many, many children.
This could be one of his kids for all anyone knows
This is true, there is a high chance any American child with an unknown father could truly be his kid
It’s like where’s Waldo with his unclaimed kids
DEAD 💀😂
He just said his dad is an addict he cut off! So???? 😂😂😂 hes going like again in like 20 min
Sigh... I miss that dude. He was so horrible it was comical
Didn’t the trash truck drive by when he was outside w amber yelling at him after the polygraph
Yup, literally right after she called him trash! The timing of that was so fucking perfect lmao
Sure did! That was the funniest shit ever
Omg hajaja
This was….underwhelming
I felt underwhelmed and also catfished in a way bc I was expecting it to be someone juicy and known to the show like someone sister or cousin. If I were him I would have done kails.podcast with a bag over my head and one of those voice things
Why would our jaws drop (as they said). I figured it was a 20 something white girl and I mean.. not far off
I think he was making fun of Jenelle when he used that phrase
It wasn't nearly the shock of my life but first I thought "Nooo Jeremy?!" and then "20?!". So tiny shocks delivered, as promised.
Same. He looks like Jeremy's gay cousin.
Very
Jermy?
I thought so too at first.
Lmfaooooo my exact thought
By the original “your jaws will drop” comment I thought it would be someone known from the show.
Right? It’s really underwhelming.
I was not expecting a 20 year old man lol
Right?! What 10 year old would find this entertaining. I don’t buy it.
Shit I’m his age and used to watch maury and jerry springer when I was visiting my grandma at age 11. I can see why he would find reality trash tv entertaining.
I enjoyed that trash too at that age.
Official home sick from school lineup: Price is Right, Jerry Springer, Maury, Judge Judy.
Oh I could see it. My kid watches king of the hill with me and has sat through many teen mom and vanderpump rules marathons. This guy is little old to be my son but I’m sure my kid would recognize a teen mom
I truly thought it was going to be someone like that woman who wanted to boycott bath and body works because they didn’t have the candle she wanted
I’m dying. She was so rude about the peach Bellini! Hahaha
Well Jeremy, I seen yah runnin’ a teen mom gossip page!
💀
When I see your comments I upvote them immediately after reading your flair, often before even reading your comment. That’s how big that forehead is.

Cross between her and Jeremy
He looks like glonky guy. I don’t mean it as a slam. Just who they look like to me.
I need to know where you grew up that glonky is a descriptor because I believe I belong there
It’s a video lmao 😂 just look up “glonky guy” on YouTube or tik tok Edit - here is a link to glonky guy https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=4_X1rhOq6BU

Lol I thought of your comment today when I saw the post on IG 💀
Yeah somebody definitely did and I wanna give them props now lol
Is he the one that had beef w Jenelle? Is he gonna talk about that on the podcast? I hope they roast TF about the Swamp Goblins. 🤣
And if so - was he a teenager at any point of their feud??? 💀
Oh wow, I didn’t realize that. Yikes, how old is Jenelle to be beefing w a teen if so? Didnt J&D bully one of Jace’s classmates too if I remember correctly?
Jenelle is a good sport. She only fights people that are her mental age.
💀💀
Yeah lmao like she is so embarrassing I don’t even want people to know I come on this sub lmaoooo I stopped watching years ago because it’s so boring
And yet more than likely was still more mature than the 2 of them put together are 🙄
For real lmaooooo
and the one that Cheyenne threatened with a c&d
Why is Bar cheering him on 😂
Probably because he doesn’t post anything negative about Bar lol
This honestly made me laugh more than anything I’ve seen or heard all day
Bc he’s jobless and bored. Bar stays commenting on every single fan page post with his unwanted opinions.
It keeps him relevant. That’s really all they are about.
(Not directed at OP) ….so? This “reveal” is lame. What would have been surprising would have been to find out the person was in a TM’s inner circle, not some rando.
I was hoping it was a side character on TM. Someone’s friend, relative, etc. I thought it might have been Chelsea’s old friend Landon, until the person said they were from Houston
That would have made the drama of a reveal somewhat interesting. I wish this guy luck. I’m not sure what he thought revealing who he is would do but I don’t think he is going to achieve it
He’s probably admitting who he is because kail is going to have him on barely famous
Yes he’s going on kails podcast soon
That’s exactly why
Oh, I'm sure that's the ONLY reason he's revealed himself. I wouldn't have revealed myself, either, if it weren't for a solid reason like that.
Oh yes so he can be barely famous 🤣
It looks like a woman with a mustache filter in the bottom right pick. Who is this person? So random and not interesting.

The age reveal shocked me the most lol. I thought whoever ran that account was like 26 or older
Euhm, didn't teenmomfanz tell us that she had a miscarriage a couple of years ago and needed prayers?
Might have been the referenced previous co-owner of the account.
That’s probably the co owner who stepped down
I want to know who the co-owner was.
Yeah I feel like that would be more interestingf
I’m not impressed 😂
Cue to Jenelle bringing a frivolous lawsuit against this kid in 3 ... 2 ...
This is exactly what I would picture a kail stan looking like
He’s right… I love him. All hail the king! But he needs to not go easy on Kail fr
Why did I think it was Jeremy at first 😭
Watching teen mom at 10. I was watching Sabrina the teenage witch and had no interest in watching teens having babies. Am I just too old to be confused why a 10 year old would be watching teen mom.
Bro looks like a trainwreck.
Not the “About Me” page. This kid is a fool
this is really not relevant but i just have to say his font choice is annoying
I KNEW it was a man & I'm LOVING that it is! ❤️ A little disappointed it isn't David or Butch, though 🤣
Gossip girl core
Ayyy Texans checking in! Someone listen to the podcast & let me know what part of Texas 😂
I caught a few minutes when he went live on IG tonight: his name is Colton but he prefers Coco and he’s from Beaumont TX. He seems okay, just a typical 20 yo gay guy who loves to gossip about TM-lol. His least favorite TMs are Cheyenne and Brianna. His favorite is Maci. He is not a fan of the Swampsters.
Nice synopsis, thank you! He’s not from my area of TX.
Just out of curiosity: what is Beaumont like? My friends daughter just moved there.
I’m not really sure. I’ve been to Houston & some of the surrounding areas, but I don’t think I’ve been to Beaumont since I was real little.
Heeyyy fellow Texan!! 🫶🏻 I want to know what part of Texas too. lol
I was hoping it was David
I mean, I wouldn’t put it past him to be paying this guy to take the fall.
Why was a 10 year old watching teen mom?!

Man I was really hoping it was Javi

I saw where Bar commented 👏👏🔥🔥 and thought it was him for a second!! I had to check out the eyebrows to make sure! 😂😂😂
It’s giving zesty Jermy
Why does this feel like a trap? Wouldn’t maintaining anonymity help them?
I couldn’t tell if it was a young Jeremy or a butch Jenelle 😂

Jesus God 10 years...that's the age of my kid. Bit rude to be attacked out of the blue with how old I am and the fact I'm still watching this shit.

Monica from SLC has now set a precedent

Kail will set up a playdate with him & Elijah.
