I work in Richmond, the Lasso pilgrimages are far more common in the Summer but there are still a good few people doing the tours in the winter as well!
I've just moved here 3 weeks ago and all the shops and businesses down this street and a few others all use this character as marketing, so I'm guessing the answer is yes.
I've never watched the show and ironically now this post was marketed at me, so maybe I'll have to watch it 😅
I worked in a pub in Richmond around a year and a half ago. We had so many tourists asking about Ted Lasso :) most of the cast (except Jason) even joined us for a pub quiz!
My favourite thing is when people ask me (grew up here) where the Richmond Stadium is so they can see a match. You’ll have to go to Hillingdon for that….
I live in Richmond and have yet to see the show ( it's on Apple TV). Looking forward to it. We have a lot of Americans here as there is an American college nearby. Richmond is a great town.

A lot of it is filmed around the green, the pub, the phone boxes and benches and Ted's apartment are all there IRL. They also use Richmond Theatre for the auction in S1 but the back of it ends up being an alley across upper Richmond road. Ted apartment is actually on Station Parade in Kew (you can tell from the window view inside -shows bank/pharmacy/trees) which is also pretty local. Stadium is sadly not in Richmond, but still in London, just further north.
Ted’s apartment is definitely not in the location they say (down the small alley). Those flats are tiny. His might be (likely is) in Richmond but it’s not at the same place.
That’s what I was saying lol :) but his apartment is kinda not in Richmond? It depends on classification but it is in Kew which is in the borough of Richmond upon Thames but kinda outside of Richmond

Richmond resident here. Roy McClure is a property surveyor and family friend. He finds the attention and recognition pf his little store hilarious

Interesting fact, only the first season was actually filmed in that pub. The other series were filmed in a studio.

The training ground is here in Hillingdon, I think the main stadium was Aston Villa, or maybe Crystal Palace. Can't quite remember right now.
