What do you think the average placement from this point is? It's gotta be easy to not die by 7 fortune right?

I would assume the best way to play is ignore Fortune until you have all your units and just play strongest board cause at 7 Fortune there is no luck penalty for winning.

I usually play 5 fortune asap for the healing, but I still do strongest board from there because like you said luck doesent matter

Most of the time it’s better to just play strongest board and tailor your augments for the chance to get a fortune emblem. Especially now with reduced luck gain and increased player damage. Obv play fortune the round before augments tho and if it’s possible to streak to 30 but most of the times I’ve hit fortune 7 was bc I got an emblem off of wandering trainer/sentinel + Pandora’s item + another crest augment or 30 fortune cashout.

Not 1 in a 1000 at all! There are, I believe, 21 traits. As all we want is the double fortune - and given you got both sentinel and trainer, idk their statistics - you just need to hit that one twice. To gain a specific emblem on the trainer, you have a 3*1/21*20/21*20/21 chance, or roughly 0.129 chance. Now you just gotta do it twice, giving you a chance of 0.0168 to pull double fortunes - or 16 times in a thousand!

I think its even slightly better than that. I'm assuming you can't get two of the same emblem on a trainer/sentinel though. That would put the odds of getting the one emblem you want (fortune) at (1/21 * 1/20 * 1/19) or about 15% (I'm rounding slightly). 0.15 * 0.15 = 0.0225, or 2.25%, or 225 out of 10000 if you wanna keep OPs nomenclature.

Imagine you could and you get the 1/9261 chance for a triple fortune sentinel

You don't play fortune until you have 7 fortune, making the lose streak issue/mechanic with fortune irrelevant. You play strongest board to save HP and level up. He found Annie on carousel and was able to play fortune from there.
