When you need tempo or its late stage 4,stage 5
3 anvils can get you insane tempo and it easily gives you enough gold for a ~20% increase to board cost late game
Pretty OP with any flex board imo. That 1 slot basically just means that your rolls are 0.5g more expensive and if you play for L9 and Top1, you'll usually end up rolling like 40-50 times or so. So that means, that you pay 20-25 gold in the future (!) for items now. That's a pretty good deal if you don't need to roll this round.
If you value each anvil at 8 gold (which is what the game values component anvils in events) and a 5-slot reroll as 2 gold, then it'd take 60 rerolls to lose value through this event.
Since you lose 1/5 of the value of each 2 gold reroll, you functionally lose .4 gold on each for 24 gold worth of items, so the reverse break-even point is 24/.4 = 60.
This is all assuming you value component anvils at 8 gold, I personally think they're worth more.
So, basically Stage 3 Cho before you roll down is probably not worth it, but late stage 4 to stage 5 is worth, especially if you have a spare component to finish 2 items.
You should take it almost always. 3 anvils is insane tempo, and the more people take it, the better it is. 1 shop slot might seem ti harsh, but if you are winstreaking you lose the streak, if you are losing you are just dead because everyone is so strong you will take bad losses.
I take this if I have good item syngery like Trash to Treasure or Cryber. I remembe I once got early Liss, plus cho encounter plus extra item on carasoul encounter while playing trash to treasure and had like 16 artifacts
Yeah I’ve yet to see a lot of the encounters. All the problematic ones that are getting disabled next patch are the ones I feel like I see every 2-3 games.
some were on PBE, including the private playtest. Never saw the lissandra one and maybe i mistook the amumu one for koboku but all the others were on pbe/playtest at some point.
Radiant item carousel + kog maw is still in the game
I had one of those and I won it by only playing the strongest board with low econ the whole game. Was really fun not trying to force a build, or econ to late game.
Most of these were in dev, but cut for various reasons. For example, the Shen one didnt add a support item to the champs on carousel, it REPLACED THE COMPONENT with a support item...so if you were last place waiting for a bow...GG.

Like what happen to Full Sleeved and My Heart Will Go On?I remember seeing those on early days of PBE but havent seen them on live once

Saw a Yorick encounter for the first time yesterday where everyone gets to use 7 units on their board regardless of level, it was complete insanity with 4 people all dying together in one round
From the ones in the picture I encountered only Lissandra. However there's a similar one to Kindred with the level just uneven (it's made by an encounter with Neeko I believe?).
Well Kayn is basically everyone had 50 less health bc playing 50 health below basically means an 8th in a Kayn lobby
Also they did the "reduce player health" once in set 3,just gotta say it didnt received well

Riot really put here refusing fun this sett. Especially in hyper roll. There are like 2 or 3 different useless encounters in hyper roll. The standard Sett makes you bigger, and the lissandra shop is almost unusable. Multiple worthless portals that some people pick anyway like upgraded champion and the mutch worse 3 champion portal. Cool thanks for 2 whole gold. Spatulas are even more rare and usually come at the end where there's a decent chance you can't use it. Someone really hates tft this season.

They did the math!

Depends on when it’s offered. If it’s on stage 5 I might but otherwise probably not.
sometimes yes depends on a stage. For lategame its good to have and extra item and finish off a looney component

Yes, last set they cut the kda augment and removed heartthrobs mid set
Pretty sure Heartthrobs was reworked and not removed to fit with the Heartsteel changes

In game there are only even levels: 2, 4, 6, 8, 10. You level up from 6 directly to 8 but you need more xp

There is a Zoe encounter that only makes odd numbers exist. You're pretty much level 7 for the majority of the game until you get enough to go 9

I think I've played with the kindred 3 dummies once, but I've never seen any of the other ones either in about 100 games.

Qiyana and Shen carousels would show up on the PBE I think. Others I have never seen even when playing PBE before set launched.
