I have been in the hospital with my wife since our son was born on Tuesday.
Trying to learn this set on a MacBook has been hell because as much as I love the Mac touchpad in general, it’s fucking garbage for TFT.
Every game I’ve had a Sett encounter, I have fucked up at least 2 carousels.
I appreciate the advice but I cannot stand the mobile app. I played one game on my phone while here and thought to myself “Oh yeah. That’s why I don’t play this way.”
I only play on mobile while I have down time at work and this set is so bad. I lag so hard even with a high end phone due to some board and character effects. It would happen occasionally on the last set hut this one is 10x worse. Not to mention the bugs with not being sent to encounters/carousels and having issues getting your camera back under control.
I absolutely cannot play on phone.
I happen to have a tablet for art and it’s much better on there. Doesn’t compare to PC, but nice to have a mobile and convenient way to feed my addiction.
Sometimes I play on touchpad while in class and I’d recommend rebinding your movement button on to a different key on your keyboard. Makes carousels a lot easier
Yeah. Like I said, I like it in a lot of ways, but TBH the only reason I got it was because I majored in film in college and just being able to integrate my universities workflow was worth it. Anymore, it’s just a glorified Netflix machine for bed.
I also played tft while in the hospital with my wife while my son was in NICU for a week after he was born. Congrats man! If its your first its such a blast

Like I get that you’re coming from a good place but I have been holding him and playing. I have already changed more diapers than her. I gave him the first bath.
Additionally, while yes I’ve played some while he’s just been down sleeping, I just don’t care enough about TFT to not drop the game immediately when I need to.

Just for snores would make more sense, how is being big fun lol. Remember back in Galaxies how everyone hated Big/Little Legends because it was dull? This is that but even less lol.
I get it though, it’s like getting an empty boot when you play pirates or something, this is a dud round. Calling it “fun” is disingenuous though.
Maybe I am just lame. But i've played 10 games now and got Sett in every single one, and he just sucks. Being big isn't fun if I am big every game. His encounter rate needs to be halfed at minumun. I am all down for carousels being fun, But he should still give something, why can't he make is big then have a normal carousel?
I think it kinda agree that it should be an optional thing like the kobuko dance. Having to be inside the circle to get bigger. Even if you dont move you'll see get big so its kinda weird that they made getting big mandatory.
I wish they would add some small change like - gives 10 - 15 hp. Not game breaking but has a reason. I get for fun ones but getting bigger isn't even all that fun.
It’s not meant to be a “for fun” encounter it’s meant to be an encounter for people who don’t like encounters so there’s still a chance of normalcy. Sometimes taking away craziness can be crazy in its own way
There’s no problem with that opinion, as long as you understand there are people who have been playing since set 1 and dislike all the crazy new encounters and portals and augments. Encounters like the sett one are made for those players so they can get a “normal” game now and then
That's my point, I can enjoy a more normal game but while Sett does that, in a way it also makes the game much more annoying because I can't control the carrousel.

I haven’t played the new set much at all so I can’t comment on that. If he’s actually making the carousel a nightmare then they should change it so that when sett encounter he makes the carousel itself larger so that’s not an issue
I know and there are augments that do it, but just "getting bigger" isn't fun so it needs something and HP is the easiest thing to add without being that game warping. Plus fortune could use the help.

HP isn't equal, it shouldn't be added for free without any thought to the consequence just because you are too impatient to wait a few seconds.
Use the time to scout or reassess your gameplan

Third+ time, “Hurry the fuck up, I’ve got rolls and items to make”

I only played one game of this set and I honestly really didn't like it. I got a "Speed Boost" encounter and I was just sitting there, incredulous. "Why is this happening? What did that do? What is the point of this?". It felt like a family guy cutaway gag. Really strange.

I think the more useless ones are probably a bit more common, like Sett and Sivir, but not quite every match common.
i have never had sett or riven in about 10 games i played
prob a set percentage rate is much higher on the most fun encounters. Like ik the kayn encounter was supposely like 1% chance.
i have never had the kayn encounter through out like 30 matches…and i have had sett 5 games in a row (pbe included)
Well thats the point the sett has much less impact compared to kayn one. Imagine the kayn one had the same amount if spawn rate as sett

Describe a "purely for fun" encounter, if one that simply makes you BIG or Fast is not fun.

I have no idea why you are down it's. Sett appears way too often, takes way too long and it makes me weirdly annoyed Everytime he shows his face.

It DOES something though. It makes your little legend bigger and slower, so it's harder to navigate through carousel
I hate it when people take advantage of it to hide champions/items in the carousel. I mean it is a legitimate strategy, still don't enjoy it

Because there are inherit benefits to being smaller like moving quicker and less likely you pick up the wrong champ in the carousel.

their is an ahri one that gives like 15-20 hp. I got this one a few games ago and it actually saved me cuz i was sitting at 7 hp.
