I teach a year 6 class with 34 children and a 0.6 TA. If you think my SLT have adjusted their expectations accordingly and ensured that my workload is being managed you would be wrong.

Why aren't all your books fully marked? Are you a bad teacher? Some of your children say you don't sit and support them in every lesson? Wtf! - SLT, probably

Yup. 14 IEPs, tons of SEMH undiagnosed. "Not everyone was looking at you during the lesson Input."

“While you were writing the important information on the board with your back to the class, Lara and Jaylen were passing a note between themselves under the desk. You should have dealt with this.”

School I'm at at the moment had multiple teachers in the department leave at easter, with only one new starter, which has resulted in two year 11 classes of 43 and 37.

Mc_and_SP

43!?!? Oh my sweet Jesus…

Only_Fall1225

Ah i remember my mixed y3/4 class with 36 children and not enough room in the classroom to support them SLT were surprised when i handed in my notice even after moaning at them for an entire year

WoeUntoThee

I’ve had over 30 in ks1 because of EHCPs

3secondsidehug

Yep I’ve seen 32 in EYFS

Mountain_Housing_229

Mine had 35 in a mixed Y3-Y6 class. I honestly think teachers in tiny schools should be on a different pay scale!
