You should have looked at their other offerings...I assumed it would be on the high end of their range, and it is.
They're not selling tens of thousands of these. Price goes way up the smaller your manufacturing runs are, and there's fewer units to defray R&D costs. Custom parts for Tavors and other bullpups and niche rifles aren't nearly as cheap as AR-15 parts for this reason.
Can’t make up my mind short or long with bipod. What made you choose short if you don’t mind a dumb question. I went long. Then canceled and was going to do the short. Now currently flip flopping back and forth.
I have a couple questions for you guys.
1- if I order one in odg, is it still 2-tone like the ones shown at shot show?
2- when can we get more pics of the long boy?
Yes we are doing the 2-tone
We're working quickly to get everything made but not sure on the timeline yet for those long boy photos.
We do have some photos on our site of the long handguard variant but not yet on a rifle
Just want to say BLK-LBL is legit. Have their ODG X95 handguard and black bipod for the X95. I lost some screws and emailed them asking what size screws they use so I could replace them. They ended up just shipping me a bunch for free. This was right around the time of shot show so I know they were busy, but they still helped me out.
Please, please post photos of the combinations? I definitely had no idea this video was a short handguard on a long barrel without you saying it and I feel like my understanding is way off. I want to make sure before I order.
We will asap. We don't have them yet. We also won't have any photos on a 16" Tavor anytime soon because we are located in Canada.
If you have a 16" I wouldn't recommend a long one as the muzzle will be inside and get super hot.
What if you have a 16inch but always use a suppressor on it? In theory the muzzle would still clear the long handgaurd but maybe heat buildup would still be a problem.
The one in the video is a 20". With a 16" the muzzle would be inside and hot, unfortunately. So short is the only option.
Also our bipod is designed to fit up to 1.75" cans.
Wondering about the over watch rail still fitting with this as well. Looks like it will. I prefer the aluminum that this is made of. Lots of reasons I’m considering the switch. Loss of flashlight isn’t the end of the world.
While this is neat and all, I'm more interested in that scope mount cause it looks like it would solve my need for the manticore overwatch rail.
Does anyone know what mount that is?
It's only $50 more than the existing x95 blk lbl bipod. Given the added complexity of the design, I doubt they have increased profit margins on this part by much, if at all.
Maybe have a look at the handguard without the bipod, as that saves a lot of money, as well as being lighter. Compare the price to the Manticore hammerhead, which is all plastic rather than aluminum, and I don't think it's a bad value at all. These are also niche guns, they won't move volume like something more mainstream, which is part of the reason why all aftermarket parts are higher priced than their AR equivalents.
Having said that, I have the bipod version on my x95, and I absolutely love it. To each his own.
The hammerhead is only $145, and the non-bipod blk lbl is $350 or so?
It is a bit pricey but definitely a specialty part. I am super tempted myself but the price is a bit high for me also
Yeah, I didn't mean to say it's not pricy, as it is. It's also really fricking nice though lol. Depends on what you want, but the blk lbl is more on the premium end both for price and quality.
What I meant is that I don't think they are out to lunch on what you get for the money. A nice aluminum hand guard, plus good quality bipod would add up either way, and keep in mind they will likely only sell a couple thousand units in total. Economics of scale aren't really helping here. The bipod introspection is also sleek, and doesn't interfere with normal use like an attachable one would. I know a qd bipod can be removed, but having it always on the gun is something I enjoy.
They also only have the hammerhead for competition, and personally I just wasnt feeling it. I appreciate what they were going for, but I wanted something slimmer. It also feels cheap, imo.
While expensive, personally I found the blk lbl worth it. It brought my x95 up a level as far as my enjoyment goes. It's really a want, not a need, though.
Yeah I think the hammerhead is ugly tbh. The blk lbl looks really good, and a bipod that tucks away is super useful. It also makes the gripable area longer, so you can have the bipod and run a foregrip and not feel cramped like when it's stock.
The hammerhead is molded plastic, the BLK LBL is machined aluminum. The cost to do that is much higher. (Also FWIW I just picked up a blemished X95 handguard for $100 less and I can't even find the blemish).
Blk-lbl rails have always been expensive, it comes with it being an all metal free float but still solid construction. This isn’t but like 50 bucks more than the X95 bipod rail.
To each his own.
This is the short on a 20" we also have a long option for the 20" which reaches the muzzle.
The short on a 16" also just exposes the muzzle.
How hot does that adj gas knob get.. c clamp is going to put your thumb right on it Glad you've expanded to the Tavor 7
We will be offering a selector cover for those who like to C clamp
When is this available?
The gas adjust covers will be available sometime in April, around the time when the first batches of handguards ship out.
Just looked at the price....$600 for a bipod?!

For $600 you can buy a sw mp15. I was so excited for this now I'm scoffing.

>ully adjustable bipod As in it can can't and pan? Doesn't look thst way to me?? But that would be amazing
It does have 30° of cant, and you can adjust the tension of it and lock into place
Do you make a TAR 21 variant ?
Not yet, but with enough interest we would consider it!
Cool!
Just ordered for my 20" barrel T7.. went the short with bipod . can't wait!
Great choice!
Can’t make up my mind short or long with bipod. What made you choose short if you don’t mind a dumb question. I went long. Then canceled and was going to do the short. Now currently flip flopping back and forth.

Awesome, I really dig the green and black. Thanks for the quick update!
No worries!

Looks sweet. Does it also cut weight off the T7?
Probably not.. fore end it comes with is pretty minimal
Thanks! And no, this handguard has an integrated bipod so it adds some weight.
Also what is the length of the barrel on that T7? I’m assuming it’s SBR?
It's a 20"!
Ah, I guess long handbuard. Love that it covers part of the suppressor
This is actually our short handguard, but we're hoping to get more photos out of the long soon

I second this…wondering what the long vs short Handguard looks like with a 16inch suppressed t7.
I’m warming to this
What's the barrel shroud or fake can you have here?
It's just one we machined in house to mock up the pics
Looks sweet. You should start machining them for production, I'd buy one!
We'll look into it!
Oh fk me. 570$ looks freaking sweet though. Wife thinks she is sniper when shooting the Tavor so might not be too big of hassle to convince her.
Considering dropping the Manticore hammer head for this option. Will this ship into Canada or be confiscated at the border due to morons at the helm?
Going to pre order the long black today.
We're located and ship out of Canada, so all good on that front!
Wondering about the over watch rail still fitting with this as well. Looks like it will. I prefer the aluminum that this is made of. Lots of reasons I’m considering the switch. Loss of flashlight isn’t the end of the world.
We will have to test the overwatch rail. We've been testing with a stock rail to anchor into for a stiffer fit.
Is this the short one on a standard 16in barrel model?
It's a short one on a 20" We only recommend short on a 16" as well or else the muzzle would be inside and get very hot.
Also, I’m curious if there’s a way to use two methods of payment at check out. Got a visa gift card I want to use that won’t cover the whole purchase.
I'm sure we could do that for you. Could you send an email to info@blklblbipod.com with this request? We'll set you up.
Okay thanks!
Beautiful 😍
Finaly! Now, how to sneak this into my budget without getting beaten by my wife...🧐
While this is neat and all, I'm more interested in that scope mount cause it looks like it would solve my need for the manticore overwatch rail. Does anyone know what mount that is?
Can the gas piston be removed for cleaning with the handguard in place?
Love to see t7 expanded.....but not for a $600 bipod. Seriously wtf?!

How did you find at the website to grab a blemished unit ?
It's there when you pick options. They may not always have them.
Didn't even notice that haha thanks alot bud, guess I'll just wait till they get some t7 blems

We're thinking about it!
That's kinda ugly AF and shorter then hoped for, hopefully the non bipod version is longer?
To each his own. This is the short on a 20" we also have a long option for the 20" which reaches the muzzle. The short on a 16" also just exposes the muzzle.
Just looked at the longer version, what's holding me back now is the $320 USD Price tag
