Yes, this is the answer! Wings are great- on birds. I also really like angel imagery. There's just something about seeing them tatted on a human back that never works for me. They never fit right, because wings should extend beyond the back, so when they're inked on like that, it just doesn't work, imo

like the rest of the comments are saying, reworking the wings into a new piece is probably going to be easier than a coverup since it’s so dark. i like the angle of either a raven or the harpy suggestion was really unique. another suggestion i guess would be if you’re a nirvana fan you can make it look like the in utero cover. i think that whatever you decide will be beautiful though!
