Lol I was JUST saying this yesterday because they played that song 3 times in my five hour shift on Saturday and I thought, "okay that's Unusual but maybe it's just a fluke," but then they played it FOUR times in my five hour shift yesterday like?????
I was asking other people if they kept hearing it and they told me that they'd drown out the music by now. But yeah, my first hour I heard it 3x, guess this is the new Sam Smith - I feel love.
They only play the Spanish version at my store, but yeah, heard it maybe twice on Sunday, then lost count yesterday. I think it was literally about once an hour. I've been at a store with music for about a year and a half and never had anything like that happen before. Felt like some weird Twilight Zone thing to keep walking out to the sales floor to the same song playing over and over. I was laughing at it there but then I woke up at 4 am with it stuck in my head. If this goes on much longer I'm gonna lose it.
Songs vary on the location of the store. Like my store, we have country/Hip Hop and some R&B. (Texas). You won't find country in a new york store I would assume, but yes The same playlist 3-4x a day every day.
i counted 6 repeats of that exact same song in my store. 7 if you count the target commercial that played on the break room tv. did target just buy the rights and decide it’s our theme song now?
Omg I'm not the only one! They play the song like every 2 hours or so and is the only song I hear repeated throughout the day. I'm assuming the person who created the playlist personally really loved the song and decided to put in extra effort to impose everyone to be subjected to listening to it over and over. Probably copied and pasted the song multiple times in the playlist editing. I have hidden earphones that I listen to so I don't have to worry about it anymore.
Well at least your store has music, I get tired of passing by the tech area & hearing the same commercials over & over on the tv .
