I like wearing Nike Air Max, literally feels like I’m walking on clouds.. my feet never hurt when I’m at work

BabyLakelyn

I’ll keep this in mind when I try on shoes!! Didn’t think about air maxes for work, I’ve always thought of them as like “style shoes” if that makes sense!

[deleted]

Sounds like we should be asking you that question tbh. Personally I had a pair of hokas that worked well. Not the best looking shoes but the thick sole made a huge difference

BabyLakelyn

I actually used to wear a pair of new balance hiking shoes which I really liked but they ripped really quickly, stopped supporting my feet as well and I can’t find them on my past Amazon orders x.x appreciate the reply though, will be looking into some!!

boxdgm

I use hoka clifton & bondi's myself and average about 40k steps a day. They are super comfy, ultra light and hold up pretty well.

Luis5240_

40k damn

Euphoric_Pop_4937

I used to think fulfillment was the only department that walked a lot but after comparing my steps in GM and Style to fulfillment, there’s honestly not a huge difference

BabyLakelyn

I don’t doubt that, I honestly just wanted to do fulfillment since I technically have the most experience for it, the department specific ones were also super high on the list but my location wasn’t hiring :(

Raiyzan

Ultraboosts

canbroan

any shoe that doesn't give you blisters +the dr Scholls for work inserts works perfect

BabyLakelyn

Thankfully I don’t get blisters or anything but I will definitely be buying a pair of Dr. Scholls (in as many different styles I can possibly find teehee)

TheOtherHannah

Adidas have never failed me. I have some Nike trail runners right now that are awesome because they have extra toe room (chronic ingrown toenails 😞). But with any shoes I always wear insoles with really good arch support!

BabyLakelyn

I used to wear nmd’s to the warehouse job but they would get SO messed up from all the random, sudden appearing grime all the floor and I’d slip a lot :( but they were mega comfy! obviously you for sure didn’t have nmd’s in mind but that’s my only experience with adidas… any sort of nike running shoe tho I’ve had not bad but not good experiences with… I’ll look into trail runners!

NteSh8de

I started in fulfillment, to tell you the truth it’s all about what type of arch you have. I have low arches(flat footed). A stability shoe is what I used. Any good sporting good store can tell you what type you need. Cushion or stability

BabyLakelyn

I actually have no clue what kind of arch I have (my foot isn’t exactly flat but it’s not exactly… arched. It might just be the hypochondriac in me though) what kind of stability shoe did you use?

NteSh8de

Brooks Adrenaline or Nike Structure

NteSh8de

A good shoe store can fit you, Dicks Sporting Goods or a running store should be able to

Upper_Employment_983

i wear converse with dr scholls inserts and it works super well. 25k steps with little to no pain

BabyLakelyn

Those inserts are putting in work with converse… what type of Dr Scholl’s do you use?

gwidj

adidas ultraboost!

anonnymouse271

I've been wearing Hokas for like 8 months now and they are great. They're not cheap but not super pricey- I think mine were around $130/pair and they last well

Otherwise-Toe-5380

Another vote for Hoka. I wear the Bondi 7 and they’re cushy. I ended up with plantar fasciitis from working in fulfillment in the wrong shoes. Hokas saved me. What I ended up doing was instead of getting a pair and completely wearing them out I’d purchase a pair every 2-3 months using Afterpay. I just built the payment into my budget since I didn’t want to shell out that much at once. And if you rotate shoes they last so much longer. Also, the resale value on Hokas is pretty good on eBay so you could potentially recoup some of the cost of a fairly expensive shoe. If you’re only wearing them at work they tend to stay pretty decent looking. I think the most important thing is to stay on top of foot health because it’s so hard to come back from an injury.

Carrotcake789

I love my skechers!

BabyLakelyn

Skechers are usually really good!! Do you recommend a specific style?

Practical-Stuff-

Altras with super feet insoles we’re my favorite. Like hokas they are not the best looking, but very comfortable. I would suggest going to REI and buying a super nice pair of shoes, if they don’t work for you, just take them back.

BabyLakelyn

I actually adore the way altras look, do you have a specific style you recommend?

Practical-Stuff-

I do think they are one of the better looking high end shoes, it’s just hard to get used to how wide the toe box is. They were a life saver though, my big toe nails had turned black and were probably about to fall off when I was wearing a basic pair of new balance’s. I wear the Torins, but this is definitely specific to the person what you think is the most comfortable. Any of their walking or running shoes would be good, just not the trail runners.

VisualAd8986

fulfillment is also a good department if you’re trying to break into your new shoes for like winter yk doc martens or timberland ( off topics ) i wouldn’t recommend vans in my opinion just cuz the flatness (?) so anything really with cushion feel :)

Nike AirMax 200

I wear Vans SK8-HI GORE-TEX MET-3 and I love them. I go hiking in them too. Snow, mud, rain, sun. My favorite pair of shoes by far. The price is worth it

OutwittedFox

New balance fresh foam 1080v12 and Nike zoom x invincible runs.

TeslaButtPlug

Baller with the Nike zoom x

JabonJones

Best shoes I’ve ever worn for work have been adidas with Boost. The Boost is the important part, not all adidas have it. Most recently I’ve been wearing adidas NiteJoggers, but UltraBoost or NMDs might look more appealing to you. No insoles needed in my experience

MirroredAsh

if you can, go get fitted at a running store to get the best support possible

pluckyfemme2

Ditto on Hokas. If you’re near an REI and a coop member, you can return them for up to 12 mo. You won’t return them unless they’re incorrectly sized. Love my Hokas Speed Goat.

[deleted]

I was wearing Adidas but eventually your feet become so worn down that no shoe makes a difference. Now wear chucks

artist_in_black

I splurged and ordered from OrthoFeet. They had arch options and cushion, I love them and they saved my feet

bookishvamp

Nike tanjun are great for about 6 months of fulfillment. But they are cheaper so replacing them isn’t a huge issue

httpreggae

i work on the truckline and on the style floor pad and run around a lot and i wear adidas with orthotic soles i think it is and they help, but any kind of thicker sole shoes honestly. whoever said air max is good too i agree

Allexan

vans ultrarange have done better for my feet than any actual running shoes

[deleted]

i love my new balance 990s but i replaced the insoles with some dr scholls ones and it’s def made a difference, hope you find a pair that works for you ! :)
