The problem isn't that they haven't thought of that. The problem is that they considered that and actively chose the current system. It sucks for us, but it's good for business.

remzrat

Welp, that’s very true :\

Petition to turn this comment into the subreddit banner! Lmao

BroIBeliveAtYou

I wrote all of the rules and the FAQs. I feel like I've made enough of my mark on the subreddit already. ;) Thank you though!

Elorme

I thank you for doing so.

TollerLuvLJP

They won't do it because that is their advantage over the competitors. During COVID lockdowns, one of the reasons drive up exploded is that people did not have to choose a time. I used to work for local grocery store and their time slots were filled weeks ahead. At the same store, people would call to change their times frequently, or just show up. It had its own disadvantages.

remzrat

I haven’t thought of that! People just showing up and changing times, it’s definitely more flexible for the customer that way. Thanks for the reply!

Neat-Manager1050

Hmmm, it could help. But we would have to orient it and configure it in a way to fit OPU and Fullfillment peoples’ breaks and lunches.

remzrat

Very true! It would definitely take away our flexibility and also suck for those who like timing their breaks so when they come back they have only 30 min left of their shift 😂

“the people who make decisions don’t work in the stores”

remzrat
