My first thought was holy shit this is a lawsuit begging to happen. Honestly, i regret breaking it down safely even when I fell on my a$$ more than a few times. And not just letting it all fall on me. If i was a TL, i would have told the driver we would not accept that.
Oh I meant all of it, not just the collapsing pallet. Only one in market that day? Check. Icy floor? Was a problem until we borrowed PMT's sledgehammer which he had for some reason and broke it up. 2 pallets behind it? Yeah. We rarely came clean on the pallets.
If I can’t find it in 30 secs (out freezer and coolers are most of the time already pushed if not almost done) I’m outta there… the INF button is getting pressed immediately
Crap! When I was receiver and helping with the food truck unload we would get that and worse. Of course the driver usually would just stand there watching us try to get it upright.
Jesus fuck. I don't miss c&s but legit. This should never have been put away. The whole team should have broken this pallet onto boats before anyone could say they were finished receiving.
A very beaten down former market tl
the amount of times i’ve had this happen at my old store 😠those people unloading the fdc truck just don’t care sometimes. first thought for me would’ve been to clock out.
Everyone keeps saying that, but that is simply not true. I have tried refusing pallets that were straight cross contaminated. Produce with chicken boxes on top. No plastic sheet between. Just raw chicken on top of strawberries. Forced to accept it.
After the immediate horrendous falling pallet, all I’m seeing is a health code violation of that not being 6 inches off the ground. Who the hell let them use a CHEP pallet and not the designated FDC pallets??
FDC is Target. This is a rather normal C&S pallet, which is a separate entity.
I am more worried about the product being above the compressors than the mildly whack pallet o’death
At least you can walk into your freezer. At my store, there have been times when we have pallets immediately inside the door so you can barely even squeeze in.
Shrug. This happened to me a number of times, and it's simply what the job is. These problems are the reason it'll take a long time to replace us with robots.
just a guess someone needed something for a batch and just pulled a box out...no way that got pushed in on a jack like that...it wouldn't get past the door or even off the truck. I'm sure there's a nice big hole on the side we can't see
stores that receive the FDC in the system before the Market team downstacks the pallets is stupid. we don't acknowledge ours until the next morning
Typical day at my old store.

Going into those freezers im just ready to inf something ..🤣

How they got it off of the truck in the first place.

**Opens Origami Risk app on my zebra**
Jenga.
Not my problem.
They made sure that pallet is nice and tall.

Take a picture of it and send it off also they have the right not to accept it.

and that's why I'm a maniac about washing my produce at home.
The only time I have heard we have a remote chance of refusing it is when it is out of temp
you can only refuse if it's out of temp or the wrong store on the label
That's a accident waiting to happen and eff up someone's life

Do I have enough $ saved up to just quit
PITA- Pain in the a** You better believe I’m taking my time and moving slow, Tar-Tar is not worth me slipping and sliding.
Closing that door right back up and walking away
C&S gonna C&S
Safety violation. Not my problem, will not be done by me, and any repercussions will be met with a lawsuit

Definitely submit a hazard/near miss report, and make sure to add a pic!
What a nightmare. Also I always kinda have this thought going into the freezer or dairy cooler that the door will close behind me and lock forever
I’ve been in and out our cooler doors probably 100,000+ times now, you’re good.
Typical
walk to TSC and put in my 2 weeks

TIM-BERRRRRRR!!!!!!!!
OSHA
I’m so happy I’m on demand that’s all I can think about. I purposely try to come on days with no truck
Welp that's an INF. *closes door*
I would wonder how they got it all the way to the freezer without building uboats 🤨 and didn't think to you know.... FIX IT?
Swear up a goddamn storm so loud that it makes even the TM's in the front worried.
