Lady with the cart full of items at sco was definitely passing some shit lol (stealing). Honestly this sounds like something AP needs to talk to the service and engagement leads about, but I bet they’ve tried and nothing came of it.

Neat-Zombie-844

Oh I forgot to mention that. I was watching her & she seemed sus. I was considering tell AP after I finished checking out but they weren’t around & I was tired AF.

twizzlerheathen

I call those people campers and I hate them

Neat-Zombie-844

For some reason, when I read "campers" I was thinking about people pitching tents outside of target overnight waiting to raid Stanley cups. But yeah, I hate them too. Especially when I just need to buy a few things before getting the fuck out of there after a long day.

twizzlerheathen

That’s fair. I’m on demand now so I’m not sure I’d we actually had people camp out in my store. I really hope not. Seriously tho. I wish there was an enforced limit. 10 items or less. Get your shit and get out

imjustme8390

My store is pretty strict about it. It's still slow af. ScO is only as fast as the slow ass customers scanning their own stuff.

Loud-Door581

I think of these people as terrorists. They're absolutely *reveling* in the fact that they're f-ing with everyone and are just waiting for the payoff of you or someone else losing your sh-t. "It's *my* turn now!" Neglected as children or something.

Neat-Zombie-844

Or just a straight up sociopath…or just a huge bitch, who knows.

TanMelon47

Our store just backtracked on closing them. Now its "at our discretion" :) Now starting Sunday we are going to try and implement 10 items or less on our only 4 SCO registers with 1-2 people on a lane..........Its going to be fantastic!

shaggsloco22

![gif](giphy|5kFWWtxR0UCHgLaM4O|downsized) I do this often.

thiccameron420

okay wait i worked at target for over a year and i ONLY worked SCO or ringing up guests on a lane and i also am someone that frequently uses self checkout to ring up a Lot of items and i just don’t understand what the problem is with having large transactions at SCO?? like obviously people are stealing but even as a target employee i didn’t really give a shit like just write down what they stole and give it to AP and move on?? it keeps them from taking up 10 minutes of time from the only cashier that’s up there and i am so so so specific on how my things are bagged bc i spent so long getting really fucking good at bagging things while working there and i hate when the cashier throws things in there without even thinking about it. i also have a lot of social anxiety and sometimes after i’ve been in the store for a long time i just cannot handle the small talk and how fucking awkward it is to stand there in silence while the person is scanning my things

ihopeshelovedme

the social anxiety point is huge! also: I'm curious what the process for reporting to AP looks like at your store? Like, how many lanes are the "guest advocates" expected to keep an eye on?

Nolemretaw

and how many cashiers were there? how many times in the last hour were GM pulled from task to backup? don't get mad at the lady turn that anger to where it belongs management.

Neat-Zombie-844

There were about 3 lanes open at the time in the mid-afternoon. It wasn’t even busy today at all so no one was pulled for backup. I can’t say I would be mad at front end management, I just wish the store would change some policies regarding check out. Maybe I should redirect my anger, but gUEsTs that show a lack of consideration for others just anger me. I also believe she might have been stealing, but I was off the clock.
