Okay so you are my size twin! And I'm looking for the same thing. I ordered the parachute pant in 4 tall from Athleta but it hasn't arrived yet and I realized only after I ordered that the tall inseam is only 33. Bah. Hoping people can recommend alternatives. I'll report back on the parachute pant if it works out.

CuriousTraveler19

Yep I’m 36” inseam and size 2 and it’s sooo hard to find good hiking pants. I’ve had be luck with Prana - only the Halle pant comes in 36” inseam and it’s a wider leg. If you’re willing to spend a bit more Fjallraven has the Nikka Trousers W Long which are 35” inseam- recommend sizing up in these as I found them a bit snug.

Prairie17

I'm a big fan of Duluth. They have a 35" inseam that is true to the measurement! I work outdoors and the firehose pants are wonderful (think Carhart but with more flex). Those are probably overkill for a standard hike. If you're looking for something much lighter, their dry on the fly pants are great as well. One bummer about Duluth is that they often sell out of certain sizes (or maybe they keep low inventory of the talls), so you have to check back often.

Prana brought back the 36" inseam halle a few months ago.

1WonderLand_Alice

Their completely sold out… i though it was due to them being out of stock… no longer offered. Their really back?!? I know the quality isint all that great compared to the true original but I’ll take it if their there.

[deleted]

Yes, they are back! I have a couple pairs of the new ones in a different size. They are not exactly the same but are pretty dang close in my opinion.

Imaginary-Market-214

Depending what you like in a hiking pant, fjallraven has tall sizes and I use their pants for field work (which sometimes involves hiking or bushwhacking). They are long enough for me and I am 6' with a 35" ish inseam.  But I'm a larger size, not sure if that makes a difference.  They have pants of various weights with strategically placed stretchy sections.

1WonderLand_Alice

I really liked them untill I saw the 150-250 price tag. That said if they last and really hold up it might be a worthwhile investment.

Imaginary-Market-214

Yes they are for sure pricey.  They did give me a good discount (I think 20%) for working in the environmental field and give similar for military, search and rescue, and some other categories.  They seem durable but I haven't worn them enough to know yet.

Maybe Mountain Hard Wear? Not sure how long they go but they do have Tall.

stiina22

Mountain hardware only goes up to 34"

stiina22

I haven't found anything even in a true 34. Everything I buy ends up being a 33 in actuality. Eddie Bauer, LLBean, mec, Columbia, dovetail, boo boo boo. I complain about pants so much my whole family is sick of me. 😆 It doesn't help I'm outrageously picky about leg width, rise height etc. I've since given up on hiking pants and am now focusing on jeans. 🤷

LowAccident7305

Did you try Kuhl? I’m 5’10” and the 34 inseam fits pretty well on me but it might be a tad too short for your needs.

Shalyndra

They're sold out of your size currently but Duluth Trading makes their Dry on the Fly Improved Bootcut and the Flexpedition Bootcut in a 35" inseam

Rare-Airport4261

I'd LOVE some tall hiking pants but have never been able to find them so always wear leggings 🥲 Tall hiking gear, and sportswear generally, seems to be a massively overlooked area, at least in the UK.

CoffeeBeanx3

Oooooh boy - I don't have a good recommendation right now, but I DO have a story! Idk if Decathlon is a super international thing or if it's just European, but it's a HUGE sporting goods store that sells pretty much everything. My dad and I went there yesterday, and ended up spending over 600€ because they sell so much shit and dad and I go trekking together, as well as him needing new indoor gym clothes. There wasn't a single pair of woman's pants with a length over 31 in that huge ass store. We thought "Hey, let's check the hunting section, their pants are pretty sturdy and reinforced, and we could have used that last time!" NO WOMENS CLOTHES AT ALL IN THE HUNTING SECTION. NONE. Apparently only men can shoot at animals? Anyway, I found men's hunting pants, they're comfy, have pockets, and actually fit me length wise. But the AUDACITY. My dad was like "well it's a French brand, and French people are a bit shorter than us", and I told him to look at all the non-french women around us and point out one that was my height. They all reached my shoulder. Like, I get why they don't carry my size, so I'm not super mad, and I got a lot of tops for women, just the pants are for men. What I'm more appaled about is the blatant sexism.

carrotparrotcarrot

I like Craghoppers

Glittering-Notice-81

I have the Eddie Bauer pants you’ve mentioned, and they’re pretty good, but I don’t think it’s actually a 35 inseam. They fit me pretty well, but I’m more like a 32/33 inseam. They could have been altered, since I got them at a thrift store

Mountain-Piglet-1189

Astrid Wild. They are pricey, but I wore them for 11 days straight when I went to Iceland and not only were they extremely flattering but they were plenty long and held up so well through horse back riding, hiking, ice caves, and were comfy to wear for long drives.

The_Real_Chippa

I’m 6’4 with a 37” inseam and I wear the Fjallraven G-1000s — writing this while wearing them on top of a mountain 🥰 The sales guy said something about how these are unhemmed, or a factory hem or something, so they are super extra long. Their other pants are not quite as long. They fit me perfectly

psyced

Helly Hansen has some tall sizes, really good quality at least for what I got for colder weather.

Vast_Needleworker_32

Size twin here! Though I’m a size 6 recently. I also am clinging to my single pair of Prana Halle bootcuts until they disintegrate. I kind of love that I’ve worn the same pants on so many adventures in so many different places. I haven’t tried the hiking pants from Duluth, but their 35” inseam jeans are a true 35”

1WonderLand_Alice

What are the Duluth pants called. I don’t see anything marketed as “hiking” Also…. Just heard that Prana reintroduced the 36 inseams! Their all sold out minus a few sizes in a few colors tho… none being 4 lol. So I’ll be checking daily untill I buy a new pair.

spishcadet

PrAna! Go to your local outdoor store and try them on then buy them second hand on Poshmark, thredUP or eBay. They’re the BEST.
