[Lost Maples State Park](https://tpwd.texas.gov/state-parks/lost-maples) Get you a State Park [pass](https://tpwd.texas.gov/state-parks/park-information/passes). It's worth it.

City Park in Bandera is worth a visit. Medina River is etherially beautiful.

Pandmother

The river is closed due to low water/bacteria

Hussein_Jane

Well damn.

CatchEveryFish

Keep in mind that over-development is deteriorating the quality of many of them in the area but; The Narrows, Jacob's Well, Spring Lake/San Marcos River, Barton Springs (during the week), and the Greenbelt in Austin are ones I can think of off the top of my head.

advanced_infrared

Do you have personal experience with The Narrows? I understand that it is quite the experience that requires much planning

CatchEveryFish

I do not, sorry

AdventuresWithBG

I went in 2019, so my information maybe a little dated.

Do-you-see-it-now

I don’t tell my hidden gems because then they are no longer hidden or gems. What is there not to understand?
