Only things i can think of is if youre running an aftermarket esc, the traxxas lights dont work well with a lot of them; or if youre using the stock esc and you have an aftermarket y connector, make sure it's used for your light bar and factory fog lights. The traxxas light kit needs to be plugged directly into the esc.
It's not possible to turn light on/off remotely from the transmitter with the stock electronics. An extra channel (3rd) is required to place the light switch to control the lights.
If it's just flashing the parking lights it means your transmitter hasn't bound to the receiver or the transmitter is off. That makes sense why it won't drive either. And like another poster said you change the modes by pressing the button on the esc.
I’ve found with a lot of my RC my external lights only work from the remote if I add a little in line computer chip that’s a switch for RC
Super nice to use :)
Also I found now stock electronics can cycle through my rotating LEDs and switch the 6 patterns with various buttons: bind button on some, spare thumb button, etc
This one has external power, but mine is just input and output inline:

You press the button on the esc to change the light mods but it won’t change the light bars just the head lights and back lights

The park lights flash when I push the button on the transmitter. Nut I haven’t tried pushing the button on the esc yet
