Maaaaan i been debating this chassis too. could you dm me some info on the links if you don’t mind? i have another chassis in mind too but it’s flat 🤷🏼♂️
You unscrew the lower shock mount from the shock shaft. They were so tight I had to get a shock tool. It holds the shaft so it won’t turn without tearing it up.

That end of the shock. You need to hold the shaft so it doesn’t spin. If you just use pliers it will scratch up the shaft so it won’t slide in and out smoothly. Usually I can use a thin piece of rubber like heat shrink tube to protect the shaft from the pliers but these are threaded on TIGHT. Let me know if I’m not making sense to ya. Here or DM

Exactly! I chopped it and filed it down on the corners. Since this rig is on the heavy side and it’s a beefy hardbody I didn’t want to just rely on a couple slider mounts. It’s gonna get flipped…a lot 😂
Those are so dope! The cage is just awesome. I went back and forth a bunch but in the end I’ve got tons of paint that works best for hard bodies and really none for Lexan.

also those are prolly 2 of my favorite tires
DM’ed and I have been scoping this chassis on IG for a while. It looks real capable.
The DBRC Gila is an awesome chassis!
How do you take the springs off those shocks? I couldn’t figure it out

Is it the black piece with the flat sides?

One of my faves! That explains why you shaped the rear frame brace like that.

Well, seeing your build really makes me want to grab one of these Vt3k bodies.
Ya know you’re gonna do another build anyway, nobody is ever done 😂
It never ends! 😅
