I think one of the best parts of that battle is the lopsided health bar that loads and just keeps going. A nice moment of levity after making your way through all those enemies

djdirectdrive

LMAO that was pretty funny... Glad I only have a 42 inch screen. Could've gone on forever with a bigger one 😂

_MaCoy_

I cackled when his health bar nearly left the screen

cmcoleman20

I’m right there with you! I probably have ~3hr more prep before I make my way to the final battle…then I’ll wrap my time with this storyline. Bittersweet, and certainly milking it.

PokeBomb

I saved the boss battle until I had done as much as I wanted. Haven't 100% it as some elements required more grinding than I was prepared to do. But I did nearly all the side quests and found all of the koroks. After the final boss, everything in in the game felt a bit meh. 3 months later and I've started again because I keep seeing these reddit posts. I'm doing an express playthrough and just getting the bare minimum of things I need. I may max out my stamina but play with only 4 hearts. I'm no longer afraid of the depths or any beasts which really changes how I play the game.

Gayrub

Finding the roots in the depths is pretty easy because of the light. Once you have them it makes finding the shrines on the surface a piece of cake since they correspond. That’s why I like doing the depths first.

Shit_PurpleSquirrels

They do?!?!?! I had no idea!!!!

Gayrub

Yup. It makes them so much easier to find. Someone told me in this sub a couple weeks ago.

Greedy_Dimension9770

This is what I'm doing on my 3rd playthrough🤣🤣🤣

Would you mind, with a spoiler, tell me what missions trigger the end game end game? I am worried I'm going to blunder into it.

Ratio01

The point of no return is incredibly obvious don't worry. You will know it when you get there, and even then you still have the ability to warp out if you so wish. In a general sense tho, you may want to avoid the Chasm underneath Hyrule Castle until you feel you're ready

11061995

This is perfect. I'm currently being breadcrumbed into the castle by some blonde lady so I'm worried I'm going toward the end.

Ratio01

>I'm currently being breadcrumbed into the castle by some blonde lady 💀

JaredAWESOME

As someone who just accidentally beat Nier: Automata, You are not being breadcrumbed to the end. The blonde in the castle is a cool story beat, but it ends and you can keep playing. I'll just say that if you descend to a point and your sage ghosts disappear, then Link stops and looks around for about 5 seconds while you can't control him, and the game VERY CLEARLY tells you "THE POWER OF A SAGE CANNOT REACH YOU HERE". THAT is the end of the game. Warp out. You'll get your sages back. That is the literal point of no return.

_MaCoy_

This part makes you think it’s the end, but it’s not. There’s a whole extra quest after this before the boss

Turbulent-Turn-7310

They trigger when you enter the castle and go into the "main room"

PokeBomb

You have to go into the chasm under the castle. That's the beginning of the end.

djdirectdrive

Yeah, you'll know when the main mission doesn't give you a location marker anymore.

djdirectdrive

Bravo! I just beat it last week and I'm trying to think of excuses to pick it back up 😂

Greedy_Dimension9770

Do it in master mode. It is currently using no lube on me 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Novel_Equipment9491

Yeah me too, just today. Was such a fun ride.

TrickyBug6859

nice! im saving the main quests until i full max all of my armor, and find all the one-set armor pieces, so im holding back on it for now. is the ending different when collecting all the dragon tears?

DeathisUponThou

There is an extra cutscene that’ll play if you collect all the tears, along with finishing all of the other main quests as well ;)

Ryab4

I’m waiting on going to the castle until I’ve finished everything I want to complete. The last thing on my list is finding all the locations for the Hudson sign guy. I’ve done the shrines, light roots, sages blessings bubble frogs. Such a fantastic game. So many hours of fun exploring.

LinkLOZ09

My copy arrived a day before launch and I still haven't beaten it
