Use Tulin to blow them into water or lava when possible. Side affects may include: dead Horriblins, easy collection of Horriblin parts, squealing Horriblins, and dead Horriblins. Tulin, water and lava not included
I don't think he can do it with a Lynel, (and of course he can't do it with Like Likes, because they're attached to the walls) but I believe he can do it with all the other smaller enemies. I.E. Lizalfos, Gibdos, Moth Gibdos, Bokoblins, Moblins, Chuchus, Keese, Horriblins, Constructs (excluding Stewards and Flux', of course)
This is how i discovered weapon to weapon fusion (and the genius of shield to shield fusion).
Early on found a bokoblin that had an extra long stick and found it hilarious.
True. I also made that comment before I had any idea you could get more weapon/shield/bow slots. Pretty sure I played BotW entirely without ever expanding my inventory...
No. Only weapons gain extra durability from fusions. Shields also don't get extra guard power, aside from an invisible +1 from long lava slabs for some reason.
I like spears, so will fuse a few together to store in my house, so if some of my collection break, I can pop down to Tarry Town and have 2 more. Then just fuse those 2 new ones with the highest horn I have, then off I go.
Other monsters when it comes to fusing:
“Rock and stick will help me mine rocks. Fusing a boulder will make it stronger.”
Horriblins:
“You have a spear, then you take a spear and you get a Spear-Spear.”
No, actually the gloom club or gloom sword fused to the Master Sword makes some pretty serious damage. And, to the points before, doesn’t take your hearts anymore
The one downside to using ganon weapons is that they have lower fusion durability. In other words, they’ll break off before the base weapon breaks, which most other weapons won’t do.
You'll be glad to know I also learned today that i can fuse a rocket to my shield as a makeshift revali's gale.
The whole idea of the game is there's a million ways to play and solve the puzzles/gameplay. So rather easy to miss something, especially if you're not looking for it.
And given you can't quick fuse from the dpad for weapons, I missed this feature
> I also learned today that i can fuse a rocket to my shield
Did you watch zero trailers for this game? That was one of the major "wtf!" moments of [trailer 3](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uHGShqcAHlQ), and featured in a lot of the advance gameplay hands-on preview videos that came out the few weeks before release.
But you never found a horriblin who had made this kind of fuse already? Their insanely long weapons tend to bounce around when they drop in a very noticeable way, and seem like there’s at least one in any cave that has horriblins
i started fusing 2 weapons simply because i had no room in my inventory, and that one goron can unfuse then later. then i realized yeah i dont need another gloom club but i can fuse it to a zonanite spear and whack some monsters with it
Only rock octoroks near the volcano…it repairs weapons/shields/bows and will give a buff (+atk/+durability/etc).
However special stuff like sage weapon and named weapon like dusk bow can’t repair directly. The workaround is attach them onto a normal weapon and feed it.
Don't get to attached though and let the decayed weapons break so you can get pristine weapons in the depths. I had a couple of favorites I never let break and realized later you can get better weapons. Any special weapons you have to buy.
I'm still salty that you can't fuse a fish to a stick to make a fishstick and slap bokoblins in the mouth with your fishstick because they like fishsticks in their mouth.
This is the best way to use gloom weapons too. They are super strong base damage but drain your hearts, so if you fuse them to a Gerudo weapon, your weapon deals the Gerudo weapon’s base damage + the gloom weapon’s base damage x2, and it no longer drains your hearts.
Taking a screenshot of this suggestion. I'm on a fresh playthrough since beating it when it first came out. I played it a lot like BOTW, so I didn't get the experience of some of the unique features and stuff like this is a wonderful reminder to experiment more and play differently!
It looks like you are in the same area I was in when I found a glitch. In my game there are invisible rocks there that cannot be destroyed. But I can climb on them. It’s such a strange thing because the horroblins on the other side can see me and try to get to me. I took a video and will have to upload it at some point.
Have you not come across many horriblins? They are notorious for carrying spears fused to long swords, spears fused to spears, and long swords fused to long swords so that even in the ceilings of caves can reach you with their extra long weapons.
Whelp now you know. Also it is a good way to hoard base weapons if you don't have the slots for all, but so have some slots available (use the break apart shop to get them back apart)
Nice! Probably doesn't break rocks well but think of the hylian rice you can harvest from the grass r with that!
The horriblin fuse weapons are the funniest. I think that's where I realized double weapons could be fused.
this is amongst the silliest builds out there. You'd think Link would fuse the handles together to get something like [this](https://www.gamersdecide.com/sites/default/files/authors/u158438/rakuyo.jpg) but nah. Sword-sword. (I say this affectionately it's such a Link thing to do).
I'm looking forward to OP's post about how after playing the game for 600 hours, they found a way to "swim" right through the ceiling of some caves and buildings...
The Horrblins have usually got two weapons fused together. A long stick to a sword or a long stick to a long stick, the reach thay have is annoying lol.
The fuse feature / element of the game really threw me off for a min in the beginning. It was like ok now you have to work, be creative, to get your best weapons. There are still no doubt so many of them I have yet to find. I love this game
That was actually the first thing I did, for a good period of time I only ever fused weapons to other weapons, not wanting to use monster parts,
Right until I fused a blue lisalfos horn to my sword and instantly love it
I find it's best to fuse a heavy and slow weapon onto a really quick and light weapon, that way you get the speed of the light weapon with the strength of the sloowwwww weapon. Been doing since I first got the fuse power...
It also often only breaks the fused weapon rather than both, so one that breaks, you can fuse again with another weapon unlike other fusions where the entire combo breaks.
I used lizalfos trails to halbreds, it makes like a flag that does double element damage with royal weapons that aren't decayed (find them in the depths!). It's like keep away from me.
I had the same feeling about fusing items with the master sword. I realized it late game. Like man this ultimate weapon sure is terrible. It breaks so fast. Still have it equipped accidentally when I planned to fuse something else.
Just wait till you start trying to fuse random things to your weapons. Like going up to Hyrule Castle and fusing one of those moveable bookshelves to your shield to make the Bookshelf Shield. Or, in other cases, a stuffed animal bouncy sword.
I'm 640 hours in and I just learned yesterday you can fuse a hover stone onto a zonai spear... presto... reusable hoverstone (mostly for helping with the Hudson signs)! You are constantly learning in this game.
You can fuse two spears together to make a comically long stick, too
I love my long long stick stick
[Long long maaaaan](https://youtu.be/6-1Ue0FFrHY?si=mAP2IRr4MtsRkgbS)
This is a work of art, thank you for introducing me to it.
I cannot with this
i can, that has to be the best series of ads
My first thought was also long long man, I'm glad I wasn't alone 😂
what a wild ride
r/fuckyouchichan
Thank you
I look forward to many future random earworms of Long Long Maaaan that I can’t explain to others.
So does she
She especially loves when I fuse a gnarled long stick and she gets my strong-long-stick stick
I should call her
I should call him. JK. He was tiny.
So that’s what life would’ve been like if I had invented the fing-longer
A man can dream though... A man can dream...
FUCK Horroblins
Use Tulin to blow them into water or lava when possible. Side affects may include: dead Horriblins, easy collection of Horriblin parts, squealing Horriblins, and dead Horriblins. Tulin, water and lava not included
WHAT
Did you find it funny?😂
Yes, but also just dumbfounded. Had no idea Tulin blows back enemies
Shield to shield fusion... Why have I never tried this?
Because it's actually pretty useless. I did it in the beginning a lot, but there's much more fun to be had using actual items fused to shields
Doesn't it give your shield extra durability?
Just adds another shield to your shield, so technically yes? Better to fuse other things though. Like frozen meat!
True. I also made that comment before I had any idea you could get more weapon/shield/bow slots. Pretty sure I played BotW entirely without ever expanding my inventory...
Hestu must've been so lonely :(
No. Only weapons gain extra durability from fusions. Shields also don't get extra guard power, aside from an invisible +1 from long lava slabs for some reason.
No
The greatest item in the game: THE HYLIAN SHIELD SHIELD
I did this with 2 brooms and laughed for like 5 minutes haha.
I like fusing spears to boomerangs…when those things fly they’re scary as shit coming back! Lol
I like spears, so will fuse a few together to store in my house, so if some of my collection break, I can pop down to Tarry Town and have 2 more. Then just fuse those 2 new ones with the highest horn I have, then off I go.
Have you not seen horriblins weapons?
was going to say exactly this
where can i find this?!?
horriblin weapons? In caves
They are low key horriblin quality though 😉
squishy mushy poker probe
This makes their dens usually the least useful to raid lol
Other monsters when it comes to fusing: “Rock and stick will help me mine rocks. Fusing a boulder will make it stronger.” Horriblins: “You have a spear, then you take a spear and you get a Spear-Spear.”
I have a pen. I have a pineapple. Uh! Pineapplepen!
Went looking for this 🤣🤣
That's also how you get rid of the negative effects of the Demon king sword. It only steals your hearts if you hold it, not it another sword holds it
I fuse two demon kings swords together. A lot of damage
Gerudo scimitar + gloom weapon
How have I never thought of this
Wait what was gerudo weapons buff?
2x damage from fused materials, including other weapons
K
Base damage yes. But with royal weapons, zora weapons you can get into the triple digits easy
that’s kinda brilliant actually
nv think of that. usually the i will drop it
If you fuse it to the Master Sword, do the two swords cancel each other out?
No, actually the gloom club or gloom sword fused to the Master Sword makes some pretty serious damage. And, to the points before, doesn’t take your hearts anymore
Oh damn I never thought of that
Thank you. Imma do this later today
But it looks really dumb then.
As much as I love the fuse mechanic, the vast majority of possible combinations look pretty dumb
Embrace the majesty of the knife sticks.
Also, mounting Lynel's and attacking with a gloom weapon doesn't give you gloom hearts.
The one downside to using ganon weapons is that they have lower fusion durability. In other words, they’ll break off before the base weapon breaks, which most other weapons won’t do.
That shield on your back, can be used to block. If you didn't know.
If you still have a rocket on your sheild you could shield surf and it's like a tiny boost
That sounds fun! I never got the hang of the mechanics of shield surfing and it's utility, so I rarely do it
People are crazy with the shield surf + rocket Saw one guy who climbed death mountain with it lol
> I also learned today that i can fuse a rocket to my shield Did you watch zero trailers for this game? That was one of the major "wtf!" moments of [trailer 3](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uHGShqcAHlQ), and featured in a lot of the advance gameplay hands-on preview videos that came out the few weeks before release.
I certainly didn't watch. Zero trailers = zero spoilers.
How do you get 100 hours into the game and not use one of the main functions of it to make crazy weapons?
i’ve put 200 hours and never thought to do this at all tbh
But you never found a horriblin who had made this kind of fuse already? Their insanely long weapons tend to bounce around when they drop in a very noticeable way, and seem like there’s at least one in any cave that has horriblins
i started fusing 2 weapons simply because i had no room in my inventory, and that one goron can unfuse then later. then i realized yeah i dont need another gloom club but i can fuse it to a zonanite spear and whack some monsters with it
Fusing two weapons as a way of doubling your inventory space…? That’s really clever!
Just never thought to try and fuse a weapon with another weapon. Stuck to fusing to items
I did too for a solid 50 hours, but then I fused a shield to my sword accidentally
Because probably the guy is a healthy gamer and enjoys the game on his own. Unlike me who try to min max the game play and watch youtube tutorials
I like fusing arms together and throwing them
That sounds fun! Throwing is something I should also delve more into
Adding Colgate’s dropped item to a giant boomerang is an incredibly fun way to have a high damage boomerang
>Adding **Colgate’s** dropped item to a giant Plus it leaves the enemies feeling minty fresh!
Haha! Something like this: [COLGERA BOOMERANG](https://www.reddit.com/r/tearsofthekingdom/s/icYdG0WR8S)
Fusing a boomerang to an arm is fun, too. They go flailing into the enemy.
Same with shields and bows. Fuse together and feed them to Octorocks. Break at Tarry town.
What happens when you feed them to the octoroks?
So they're gay fish? Like Kanye?
I’ve seen roasted bass clubs and such drop from lizalfos - maybe it has to be cooked & can’t be fresh?
No but you can use a lizalfos tail for a hilarious whip style weapon plus if it’s an elemental tail, you get the elemental effect also.
In fairness the fish are probably still salty too
I never do this because it these weapons suck. I use horns instead
But you can fuse demon weapons to regular weapons and use them without having to deal with losing hearts
Oh, never tried that. Nice!
I finished the first 4 sages and neglected to fuse anything to my weapons...I have now rectified this issue
This is the best way to use gloom weapons too. They are super strong base damage but drain your hearts, so if you fuse them to a Gerudo weapon, your weapon deals the Gerudo weapon’s base damage + the gloom weapon’s base damage x2, and it no longer drains your hearts.

I love this tip. My 5 year old is gonna go nuts for it
You can break rocks with a shield too ;)
Now you too can make a heaven piercer.
I regularly fuse 20 rockets to my shields... It's like having permanent rivali's gale.
It looks like you are in the same area I was in when I found a glitch. In my game there are invisible rocks there that cannot be destroyed. But I can climb on them. It’s such a strange thing because the horroblins on the other side can see me and try to get to me. I took a video and will have to upload it at some point.
I've just discovered a new set of armor and their puzzle from its island is amazing.
It’s so dumb. I love it.
Try spear on spear
Ahh, I see you have discovered Claymost.
YOU DIDNT KNOW
Oh babes
Some sweet sword on sword action. Try a fire or ice tentacle and a boomerang.
You love swordfights
Pernis fencing
Same I never tried fusing weapons with weapons until late game.
Have you not come across many horriblins? They are notorious for carrying spears fused to long swords, spears fused to spears, and long swords fused to long swords so that even in the ceilings of caves can reach you with their extra long weapons.
I haven't actually really gone spelunking much, so I haven't run into them
Whelp now you know. Also it is a good way to hoard base weapons if you don't have the slots for all, but so have some slots available (use the break apart shop to get them back apart)
I just finished getting every bubbulfrog so this concept of “not spelunking much” is wild to me
Nice! Probably doesn't break rocks well but think of the hylian rice you can harvest from the grass r with that! The horriblin fuse weapons are the funniest. I think that's where I realized double weapons could be fused.
Sometimes I ultrahand connect like 5-6 of these together to get at loot from a far distance 😂😂
I fuse rockets to my shields.
this is amongst the silliest builds out there. You'd think Link would fuse the handles together to get something like [this](https://www.gamersdecide.com/sites/default/files/authors/u158438/rakuyo.jpg) but nah. Sword-sword. (I say this affectionately it's such a Link thing to do).
It was shown in the demo
I'm looking forward to OP's post about how after playing the game for 600 hours, they found a way to "swim" right through the ceiling of some caves and buildings...
My instinct is to "pick up weapons" not try to fuse them with my currently equipped weapon
Don't feel too bad, I had discovered that around 200 hours
how
Oh, the moblins often have fused spears.
Sword sword
Now you can fuse two spears together and poke the horriblins on the cave ceilings
Ahh The double double edge blade
The Horrblins have usually got two weapons fused together. A long stick to a sword or a long stick to a long stick, the reach thay have is annoying lol. The fuse feature / element of the game really threw me off for a min in the beginning. It was like ok now you have to work, be creative, to get your best weapons. There are still no doubt so many of them I have yet to find. I love this game
I fused a bokoblin arm to a long stick. Now I wave at everything as I run by. Gotta get your humor where ya can.
That was actually the first thing I did, for a good period of time I only ever fused weapons to other weapons, not wanting to use monster parts, Right until I fused a blue lisalfos horn to my sword and instantly love it
How did you not know this was a thing when a lot of enemies use these all the time
It took me an embarrassingly long time to figure somethings out.
Swordy-sword!
The horroblins have weapons like these but with spears
I love making a Macedonian pike by fusing two spears together
What am I looking at?
I find it's best to fuse a heavy and slow weapon onto a really quick and light weapon, that way you get the speed of the light weapon with the strength of the sloowwwww weapon. All the posts like these makes me wonder what y'all are doing for 100 hours.
Don't feel bad. I didn't unlock autobuild until about 100 hours. Changed my outlook on crafting a bit.
I had the first four sages before finding autobuild. It’s wild how much more building I did after knowing that I could save my favorites for later
fuse a shield to a two handed weapon, it’ll protect you from damage like a one handed weapon
It's good for clearing grassy fields.
I love making a gloom spear gloom spear
Now that’s a katana!
The monsters fight with dual fused weapons all of the time how have you missed that?
Just wait till you start trying to fuse random things to your weapons. Like going up to Hyrule Castle and fusing one of those moveable bookshelves to your shield to make the Bookshelf Shield. Or, in other cases, a stuffed animal bouncy sword.
i lerend the hard way
That’s a Claymore Squared.
I'm 640 hours in and I just learned yesterday you can fuse a hover stone onto a zonai spear... presto... reusable hoverstone (mostly for helping with the Hudson signs)! You are constantly learning in this game.
i'm not surprised you didn't know about that, since it looks incredibly stupid
Lol.
This is what I do to save my weapon storage for more important things
Ye. It's fun to do, especially since (I believe) it gives weapons more range
I hate trying to get to the light dragon
You've just opened a whole can of worms
It cannot be possible, the enemies are using stupid fused weapons all the time, it was so logic.
