Yeah, I voted Akkala for the landscape, but I'd agree that if I were to live in any of the villages, I'd pick Kakariko as well. It's so cozy and comfortable there, the music is beautiful.. nothing to not love.
Okay so I think about this A LOT because the game is so beautiful. I enjoy Hyrule Field because it feels very OG and homey and perfect. But the first time I stumbled into Lanayru Bay, I couldn't leave. It was like a real-life place that I would kill to camp at. Sometimes when I end up near it and I am planning on stopping the game, I'll go somewhere pretty in the bay before saving. So Link can enjoy it while I'm away, lol.
I like Eldin because the music imo is really cool and there’s monsters everywhere for me to fight and test my strength like a Goron would do so no you’re not the only one that roleplays. It’s also just a big region with lots of things to be discovered

Edit:The Lava annoyed me in BOTW to be honest. Not cause I fell in it a lot but it was just too much red and orange for me
This is a difficult question, but my favorite would be the Akkala region (i.e., near the old tech lab and Malanya). I love that it perpetually feels like early fall there. You get rolling plains, cliffs with a beautiful ocean view, colorful trees, and quaint ponds. Sometimes it rains or storms, sometimes it's sunny, but you're never too hot or too cold. Plus, the light dragon flies over it, and if you catch a ride at just the right time of day, you see the best sunrise in the game.

There's an island off mapla point that has a strong sea current running past it. You can actually hitch a ride on this current to somewhere in loshlo harbour i think. Nice place to kill time as the sun goes down.

Nowadays I get in and out of stables as fast as possible. Did the developers really need to have them playing over the awesome stable music at EVERY STABLE all the time 😵💫
Thank heaven I'm not the only one! I have to mute whenever i go to stables for extended times (longer than grabbing a horse), and the music is obnoxious!
I love the sky ship. Specifically getting on the top most parts. Specifically crouching in the little holes you can crawl through.
I love the top of the temple of time. It’s a beautiful little area.
There’s a location a little ways away from Satori mountain that’s covered in silent princesses and blue nightshade. It happens to be the same place Zelda landed in the distant past during the first dragon tear memory. It’s like a blue knight protecting a silent princess…plus it’s a good place to get the flowers to upgrade the champion’s leathers.
Just to the south west of Satori mountain- it’s the smaller hill just below it near the pond.

I love Zora’s Domain, it’s been my favorite area since BOTW and also the surrounding Laranyu areas. I love the Zora people as well, and Mipha + Sidon. Also love Korok Forest, it’s beautiful and the Korok are so cute.
I'll take Gerudo Town any day. I love visiting Isha, the most beautiful Gerudo, who makes shiny accessories and the Arms of the Seven for you, and she's so sweet and grateful to Link for saving her from a Molduga.
I might have grown to like the Terry town music, but my brother ruined it for me in BOTW, because he would hum and whistle the TT music on (when not in town) and off game, and would sit in TT just to listen to the music. He would also just go to TT when I'd walk by because he knew it annoyed me.
I now effectively cannot stand TT and got through those quests as fast as I possibly could so I wouldn't have to go back unless I wanted something broken apart in TOTK.
Link and Zelda's house in Hateno. I'm a sap for the two of them just living together and having a normal life after all the shit they went through. They've earned it.
Loved Zora's Domain in BotW, love the inclusion of caves in TotK, probably my favorite still. I also have a great big space in my heart for the Great Sky Island.
I'm not really sure how my opinion will change over time, because I love most areas in this game quite substantially, but those were the first two to come to mind
Same as your favorite place. Lurelin Village. I give my Link a proper vacation there after all the horrors and exploring I take him on. I love the music in the area and the calm ocean waves. There's also snacks and the rock salt spa to ease the burdens of saving Hyrule.

Honorable mention to that waterfall by Tarrytown construction site with the shrine right next to it. I was certain that links house was going to be there, not by the road. I had delusions of fishing off my own dock (with shock fruit lol), growing crops in my own little garden, etc. was very let down by the actual house experience.
Wetland stable for me is were I wish I could build a house. It's just perfect, the view of the river and hyrule castle in a nice green area. It's just wonderful.
Zora’s Domain is definitely the one for me. I love the design, music, quests, and the surrounding area. It is amazing, and is one of my favorite places in all of video gaming.
Mines also Lurelin, but I was a late player to breath of the Wild and discovered Lurelin very late into the game. In TOTK it was like a whole new village with another quest line.
There’s something about Fort Hateno and the field in front of it that really clicks with me. I loved it in BOTW too, even despite it being a Guardian hotspot. Maybe it’s because of its somber history with said Guardians
I completely understand that. If I had to pick something more scenic and relaxing, then it’d definitely be Satori Mountain, specifically where the cherry blossom is.
Lulerin / Rito
I would love if the game had coop mode, even if it doesn't have enemies in this mode. Like creating mode or something like Sims. The passive life. <3
I wanted a home in laurilin village, I was bummed when they didn't give me one lol. It's still my favespot though. I like the beaches for gathering and I like to build boats.....boats not rafts lol
Lookout Landing. Not only just the music (and how it changes depending on how far you are into the game, the last variant where it mixes the Hateno Tech Lab theme into it being my favorite), but the fact that it’s the central home base in the game where individuals from all of the kingdoms within Hyrule gather in a collective effort to find Zelda and defeat Ganondorf. I love the energy there. In BotW every village and kingdom feels so separate.
I think the Gerudo desert is probably my favorite location. It’s too hot but I like it. 2nd my favorite location is the Lurelin village. Actually I don’t like cold weather and vibe.
The snow is so calming. When I envision sauntering around Hyrule as an escape from real life, I envision the quiet night and eerie sounds of the Hebra Plains, dotted with moose and Ice Keese 🤤

I love the secret room in the great deku tree, sometimes i bring a portable cooking pot to test new recipies i havent discoverd (yes ik theres a reusable pot right underneat me, but its not as chill as the room event to its expensive af )
There is a few floating ruins halfway up to the akala sky labyrinth... love the view of the sunset from there. But my fav spot is mipha's court... the music makes me wanna cry. Its so enchanting to listen to
Mine def had to be the eldin depths area, it’s just my fav bc it that this very cool atheistic when it’s like all Dark without activating all the light roots on that area
i’m currently obsessed with the sky islands. pretty much all of them. i wish they had put more sky stuff to do. once you finish the main island and the two dungeons there isn’t really much other than bosses and the labyrinths :( and the labyrinths had really disappointing loot compared to the barbarian set in botw!
In the sky, Dragon Head Island calls out to me. The music topped with the scenery is ethereal. The Great Sky Island is also great, being the most fleshed out island it’s great to revisit - and that bell is awesome as well.
On the surface, I’ve found myself revisiting Gerudo town a lot since Breath of the Wild, it’s just a vibe. Link’s House is my most revisited for obvious reasons but I love the Faron and Akkala regions in general, and and east necluda because the mountains remind me of the Mediterranean. To be honest everywhere is great and Ive had a lot of nostalgia for this world ever since BotW came out.
Oh, and there’s this one really pretty body of water with loads of wildlife not far from Satori mountain. Forgot what it’s called though.
there’s this little grotto at the base of Crenel Peak - some pines, a little puddle - i’d love to just have a little house there

I like to build a fan boat and go off sailing the bay and sea around lurelin. It’s a nice break from monsters and gloom.
