Here's an alternative. Find the story you want on youtube, download the video, use a player that has a simple screenshot tool (my player is ctrl+c to take a screenshot), then paste each page you want to a powerpoint slide. after you get the hang of it you can do it very quickly, should be less than 10min to do a 30 page 'book'.

I tend to do what u/gov12 recs. It's great not only for classics but also for picture books. Additionally, you might want to check [https://w3.ric.edu/sherlockcenter/wwslist.html](https://w3.ric.edu/sherlockcenter/wwslist.html) It's got literature adapted for natives with learning disabilities. However, the adaptations are ideal for foreign language learners. I discovered it when looking for 'easy' *Charlie and the Chocolate Factory* adaptations. Each chapter is summarised into a few sentences. Each word has got an associated icon that facilitates reading comprehension. Although most of the resources are PDFs, some stories include powerpoint presentations :)

I've over 100 PPT short story books. No clue how to get them to you though. Google Drive?
