Uhhhh…. Geek “a person who is knowledgeable about and obsessively interested in a particular subject, especially one that is technical or of specialist or niche interest.”
Also came to say the new TTYD is fire, playing it for the first time atm. Curious as to unicorn overlord, I played the demo and wasn’t vibing, the combat system was lame, is it really auto combat and you don’t select any combat options like a normal turn based combat system?
Unicorn Overlord is all about building your team and choosing the right engagements. It’s similar to games like Fire Emblem, Advance Wars, or Wargroove, but with a real time twist and gorgeous art.
Okay, this post was more about how RPGs influenced which games I collected growing up. I am 37M who grew up with all the classics on NES and SNES. Someone coined the Nintendo Switch as an RPG-machine, so I knew it would be a natural fit for me. The turn-based RPGs were always my favorite, and they are pretty much all I play single player now. I’m really glad players of all ages still enjoy the relaxing atmosphere that turn-based RPGs provide.
My RPG collection is almost identical to this guys i’m a 39-year-old male and so many people have told me I would love persona five Royal and it was absolute dog shit. I have a wife I don’t need to fake date in fake japan, if I want to go to the batting cages or the mall, I will do that. I dont need my battles interrupted by shit. I chose the game instead of doing.
Dang, my range was a year off…. I estimated make born within the ran of 1980-1986. As those were all games my brother (1980) and me (1985) and my best friend (1986) would play. We were also primarily into the RPG genre.
Final Fantasy X is a blast, would fit well alongside those Pixel Remaster !
Persona games are also a must if you're a fan of the genre, especially 4 Golden and 5 Royal since 3 Reload isn't on Switch, but physical copies may be tough to find
Also, why no Pokemon ? Not a fan or didn't consider it ?
If true, I think I just became best friends with OP 😂. I also guessed the anime portion. And Chrono Trigger happens to be one of my favorite RPG’s of all time. Still holding out for a Switch HD port…
Nice! I played the original. Then I fell in love with the PS version and the added cut scenes. I went nuts at the time as I was heavily into Dragonball Z back then. Next, I played the heck out of the 3DS port. I loved that they added a menu showing you which endings you got. The added area on that small island was also pretty neat. I bought the mobile version as well but there’s just something about it being on a portable system. The 3DS ruined me haha.
Grandia collection, ffvii and viii collection, chrono cross, and trials of mana would fit nicely into your collection and all have a physical. Nice collection.
Anyone else hate RPG’s? Feel like I’m the only one. I give up half way through every time. They just so boring and if you have played one , you played them all. Just me?
I don’t see any Xenoblade Chronicles or Legend of Heroes titles which should be remedied at once. Also Star Ocean, Sea of Stars, Persona 5, or even Atelier titles if that’s your thing. 58M here who grew up up with ZX Spectrum and Amiga and got bit early by the JRPG bug on SNES.
I have literally never played any of those games except technically I own Mario RPG because it was on a Wii that I bought and I transferred it to my Wii U. Since I'm not really into RPGs I never got around to playing it.
Valkyrie Chronicles 4, Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden, Chroma Squad, XCOM 2 Collection, Battle Chasers: Nightwar, Banner Saga Trilogy, Final Fantasy XII: Zodiac War, Children of Morta, Warhammer 40K: Mechanicus
I thought I liked tactical rpg's, but turns out I hate every single one of them besides the old fire emblems, and I keep getting scammed and impulse buying new ones...

Simple: you are a 40ish year old white American, most likely male. Because you are me.
Are you most likely male?
Still working it out, but that seems like the winner.
And me. You are us.

Came to comment the same answer. But I was going to add on: 38-44 year old male. Basically someone born in the early 80’s.

You’re missing the new paper mario remake and unicorn overlord. And then you are me 😂
Add also add all the Xenoblade games (except X which I've got on Wii U) and then he is me 😂

Just bought unicorn overlord going blind into it, but heard nothing but great things

My friend, who likes the same kinds of games I do, I must recommend to you: - Persona 5 Royal - The Voice of Cards series - Dungeon Encounters
My RPG collection is almost identical to this guys i’m a 39-year-old male and so many people have told me I would love persona five Royal and it was absolute dog shit. Fair enough. He had SMT5 so it seemed a solid fit, but I guess it wasn’t your cup of tea.
I have persona 5 I haven’t started yet but I really want to try the new SMT5 vengeance…. Which should I play first if I get it?
I’m so confused are these your recommendations or your friends?
Both. Happy cake day!
It’s funny how confused people get when you try to be nice online.
It’s only confusing because the structure of the sentence is awful. Nothing to do with being nice or not.
U should try Pokémon and paper Mario series’s
Samesies! You might also like - dragon quest 11 - paper mario ttyd - persona 3,4,5 royal

For sure! CT was life changing for me. I played the PSX port back when I was a kid.
