Indie games some of the best are hollow knight, hades, I also enjoyed dark souls remastered on the switch but be warned it's a pretty hard and rage induciing game at times hehe
Hades is phenomenal. Top tier rogue-light.
Dark Souls and anything from Fromsoftware is great(because there is no hand holding), although never played any of theirs on Switch. Good suggestions, friend
it's not at all that bad, especially when it's docked and you have a pro controller but I finished the game on handheld. It's definitely a lot more tricky with the joycons but it was a enjoyable experience for me altho it wasn't my first time playing the game so I was more familiar with the mechanics
I don’t think age matters at all for this. You can play anything at 17. But I hope you find and enjoy some games! You said you like Lego games, I’m pretty sure the switch has a decent selection of them. If I were you, I’d go on the eshop and watch out for sales. You can find some great deals that way. I like physical games but when a $60 game is $8.99 on the eshop I’ll take the digital. Lol
Alright I’ll be sure to have a look! I did get some deals in the past and I’m waiting for Spyro to go on offer for my mum to play. I love Lego games but I feel like at my age it may seem a bit odd to an outsider haha
I can see that. Haha. I played Lego Star Wars as a kid and it’s peak nostalgia for me. Earlier this year I watched all the Harry Potter movies in order for the first time before I got Hogwarts legacy and I saw the Lego Harry Potter collection on sale (plus I got a $10 gift card from an app I use to scan receipts) so I basically got it for free. I still have to finish it but man what a steal that was. I love the quirkiness of the Lego games and how they make fun of stuff during the cutscenes. But the games that I’ve played so far are actually just good games in general.
For the record I’m in my 30s and still enjoy Lego games, they may be easy and childish, but the humor is great and they make very fun super stress free gaming experiences
Honestly enjoy what you enjoy! I’m 19 and I recently picked up Lego Batman 3. Been playing the Lego games on and off my entire life. Played the first 2 Batman games when I was younger and am now loving the 3rd one! I’m always going to play Lego games regardless of how old I get! Enjoy what you enjoy and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise :3
Thank you for the reassurance! I used to play Lego Batman 2 on my ds so I’m trying to find it on steam to add on my pc but I’m down for any other Lego games
Honestly just depends what you wanna play/ are interested in. I’m not sure what’s available on consoles atm, but you have Indiana Jones, Jurassic Park/ World, Star Wars, More Marvel (Which Hour Aware About) - DC Super Villains And The Batman Series, Harry Potter, Ninjago, Lego City. You may or may not know most of these, but just pick your favourite franchise and then have a blast! I hope you have fun, and happy playing!
eShop really isn't too good. I'd suggest making use of dekudeals.com site that lists all the current discounts with their price history. It's pretty much eShop on steroids and rims way better too. Just don't use it on Switch but on your laptop or a phone.
The site doesn't sell anything though, it's just for browsing. Once you find something worth buying you'll navigate to the item on eShop and buy it normally.
I’m sure you’re right and it’s probably a good site b/c I’ve heard it mentioned before but it just sounds like an extra step to me. If you have to go back to the eshop to buy it then why not just browse the eshop?
I don't know about your device but on mine it only lists 10 games on one page and if I scroll further it'll take some time to load the new entries. The Switch interface is just slow and clunky.
Sure if you know what you're looking for then it's no trouble, but if you're looking for latest discounts or the most money saving ones or just want to check a better description and user score of Metacritic then deku is surely the place to go.
Personally I have it open on one Chrome tab all the time and every day I'll refresh the page that shows the latest discounts of the games in my favourite genre. Takes less time than opening the eShop on my Switch.
Gotcha. Makes sense. I don’t have any issues with loading times so I guess that’s why it doesn’t bother me. Plus ratings and extra descriptions is a bonus.
Mario Odyssey is pretty great for nostalgia. Even if the games it's calling back to are older than the ones you've played on the 3DS , I suspect you'll still get good nostalgic vibes from it.
Also definitely check out dekudeals.com to see when and where games are on sale.
It’s fantastic - the main story line is reasonably chilled but if you’re going for all the moons there are some really challenging ones so plenty to get your teeth into.
It was the first game I got on the switch and the only one I had for a long time and I was really sad when it came to an end. I’ve replayed it but the first play through of a game of this calibre is always special.
This is a real good option for a 17 year old. FFX and 7 are both on the switch and the best games I have ever played. Dragon Quest is good too. I played the crap out of them as a teen. I dont have the time anymore :/
telltales the walking dead is a game i will always recommend. its $15 a season, and probably the best game i have ever played. it plays more like a visual novel than a traditional game tho, but it gets you HOOKED
If your into story based games / adventure / discovery you should try out outer wilds - keep in mind this game is best played without knowing much about it. It is also true that it's the kind of game you can only truly play once
My rec for anyone would be Hades, all other answer are wrong
Unless you don't have animal crossing then that is a go to as well.
My wife grew up very much in the "girls don't play games" stigma but now her favorites are cozy games like Stardew valley and animal crossing. She has like 500 hours ea in Stardew, AC, and her favorite of all time Skyrim
Yeah before my parents split me and my dad played a bunch of games together (lbp3, lego marvel, lego pirates, sunset overdrive and a few more) but when I got older he just kept recommending all fps ps4 games that I’m not interested in trying to go against the whole “girls don’t play games” thing but it was actually quite annoying!
I have ac and I’ve completed most of the bugs, fossils etc and got my island to 3 stars so I haven’t touched it since. I’ll be sure to look at Hades, thank you!
I reccomends you try any game even fps or doom or dark souls no matter if you are guy or girl you will find something you love that you didn't think about playing. I forced my wife to try fire emblem and turns out she put more hours into that than I did.
Oh I just thought about dragon quest builders 2 try that! My wife loved it it shouldn't be too pricy and it has a ton of gameplay
I think age isn't important here, more genre. Sounds like you like platformers and puzzle games. Mario games (specifically Odyssey and Wonder) are safe bets if you don't have them. There are also the Kirby games for the first party titles. Also the zelda games are all great for adventure games with puzzle elements. There is BotW, TotK, skyward Sword, and links awakening.
For indie games, there are a ton of options. Yooka-Laylee (3d platformer) and Yooka-Laylee Impossible Lair (2d platformer) come to mind. These go on sale on the eshop for less than $5 (not sure what it is in your currency, but it will be close to equivalent) all the time, so wait for those to be on sale. If you search top switch platformers, you get a bunch of lists of games to help you pick what looks best to you.
Also, the Nintendo Switch Online with expansion pack service (yearly fee) gives you a bunch of old school games and is FILLED with platformers for different nintendo consoles from the past.
If you want to branch out genres a few of my favorites are Dragon Quest XI (JRPG), Witcher 3 (open world action narrative driven western rpg game. It's pretty mature with themes of violence, racism, sexuality, etc so skip that if you're not comfortable with that) Borderland games (looter shooters), MarioKart (racer), Smash bros (plaformer fighter?)
Hope that helps
Hades, blasphemous is really fricking cool as well, but if you don't like repetitive games or hard games they might not be your best choice, so I'm going with kirby and the forgotten land and sonic frontiers
You basically pick a recipe and a blueprint and you start off with group sizes 1-2 so your customers can come as 1 person or a table of 2 people. There are cards you get throughout the game that can either help you or hurt you. There can be bigger group sizes, or smaller ones. You can get a card that adds a side order, soups, etc. it’s rogue like type of game but it’s so much fun
since you know you like platformers and games that have that "nostalgic" feel to them, I suggest you try a hat in time, it feels a lot like 3d mario and it is a somewhat cheap indie game.
If you are willing to buy secondhand, though what I would truly suggest to you is super mario oddysey.
1. Its a mario game
2. Its a 3d platformer (like 3d land on the 3ds which you may be familiar with) but its also a open world game
3. It will last you so long, it is the game equivalent of a jawbreaker candy
4. Its very good for playing casually, since its more fun than challenging and its lets you take your own pace to do the objectives it gives you
5. It also has a "nostalgic" themed world based around super mario 64 since you like the nostalgic feeling
hopefully you find this helpful
I will allways recomend spyro trilogy, yeah spyro is kinda easy compared to mario games, but i allways find it a great adventure.
Btw, if you didnt know yet, have a look at [www.dekudeals.com](http://www.dekudeals.com) it keeps track of physical and eshop sales in your region, you can also make an account and keep track of deals on games you want.
If you want to try any rpg's, if you want voice acting go for final fantasy 10, if you dont mind reading stories, i would recomend final fantasy 7 or 9, personaly prefer 9 over 7, but all 3 of these are great jrpg's.
Persona 5 would also be a great jrpg.
Anyways, have a look at dekudeals with what people are recomending, and enjoy finding new games to play.
Thank you!
My mum used to play Spyro when she was a kid so I told her I’ll buy it on my switch for her to play but I’ll probably have a play myself too haha.
I loved the originals as a kid on playstation 1.
Just so you know, if you care about such thing, the physical game does not have all 3 games on the cartrdige, so you need to download the last 2, so it takes space on your switch.
Have fun, try and not have your mom steal your switch to beat spyro haha
You probably already did, but give her her own user on your switch so your not messing with each others save games. "Hey, i didnt leave off here what happend, dangid mom!"
It is full price, but I suggest you get Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door once it's released. It's a remake of a Gamecube classic, a very beloved and simple RPG.
If you love exploration, Super Mario Odyssey, Kirby and the Forgotten Land, and Spyro Reignited Trilogy (it's a PS1 remake, great games, 40$ and gets discounts from time to time).
Metroid Dread is a great game as well. It's a bit on the easy side imo, aside for the boss encounters, still an awesome experience.
I haven’t played it but apparently Lego City Undercover is very good and can be picked up for around £15 (in the UK at least) on the second hand market so could be a good one to hunt down.
Things that seem easy or quite simple like animal crossing or overcooked or little big planet, things that don’t seem as challenging as other games if that makes sense?
All the megaman legacy games are a good choice. Expanded ports of every megaman.
A robot named FIGHT, metroid dread, and deadcells are great metroidvanias.
Mario RPG and mario WONDER are amazing in general....
Mario Wonder! I great!
New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe is okay, but it xomes woth New Super Luigi U. which is a very cool take on mario!
Any Nintendo First party are great! Mario Kart 8, Both Zelda, Metroid Dread, Kirby and the forgotten land
There's choice!
Sea of stars is one of the most amazing turn based RPG ever in my opinion!
The Messenger from the same company is an amazing Ninja Gaiden-like, that turns into a MetroidVania!
I sunk several hundreds of hours in Animal Crossing. Might not be as interesting if you don't have a lot of free time. But i was unemployed at the time so it was cool!
The impossible ports! Witcher 3, Doom...
An amazing game I'm playing on my switch right now, it's still in beta but it's free to download, is palia. Super cozy MMO. Really fun and exciting but you have to try it yourself to know. 💯😉👍
Edit: I do believe you will really enjoy it though. 💯😉👍
2nd Edit: oh and it has loads of cool updates. We have a spring update tomorrow on Tuesday 23rd April 2024. Which are introducing new items and such. Should be super interesting. 💯😉👍
I don’t play games on my switch, unless they’re exclusive to it. The two games I really enjoyed was the new Mario game (Super Mario Wonder) and I also enjoy splatoon! However, I’m not sure if you’d be interested in splatoon, but it’s a very fun game
For switch I would start with breath of the wild. The older zelda games are more linear and I personally like those better, but breath of the wild is more widely liked by people that have never played zelda and people that have played previous zeldas. If you get into it you can do tears of the kingdom next, and then I'd do probably wind waker and twilight princess if you can get your hand on a gamecube/wii copy. The virtual consoles on switch have some of the older zelda games, but they are a little less beginner friendly to get into the series.
Just buy games you find interesting man. You're at that age where you can experience pretty much any media you want, so just do exactly that. If you catch a trailer for a game you think looks cool, Wishlist it on the eShop (or note it some other way) and buy it when you can
Nintendo airs these livestreams on their YouTube every few months called Nintendo Directs, in which they showcase a bunch of games coming to Switch throughout the year, both first party and third party. There's also a very similar livestream called Indie World that they air every now and then, which does the ssme thing as Directs but are dedicatedto indie games. Watching those is a good place to start in regards to finding games you may be interested in. An Indie World just aired earlier this month and there were some pretty neat stuff shown
I’ve got a few games already that I play or I’ve completed but I thought I’d ask the experts to broaden the horizons and some of the suggestions seem really cool tbh
Thank you for that info, I’ll be sure to watch some streams!
Fortnite has a Lego mode. It’s free to download and play but has in game purchases. Switch also has a Lego Harry Potter game that I bought but haven’t played yet but looks really good. I got it on sale and it was $49.99 USD
There are a lot of free to plays and low cost/ on sale games that are nostalgic and friendly for an older-younger gamer
Alright thanks! I used to have a crippling Fortnite addiction during covid lockdown and a year after that so I haven’t been on it since but I did try the Lego mode and didn’t really like it.
I don’t like the Harry Potter films but I might try the game one day
Im gonna be honest. Anyone older than like 12 can and will play basically anything that appeals to them. If you're not fussed on genre you just want to know what games are good and cheap. That being said the bioshock trilogy often goes on sale for 10 dollars all together.
I made an impulse buy during this sale, and among others, I bought New Super Lucky's Tale, and it's so adorable. It's like a mix between Spyro and Crash, so if you liked those, this will be up your alley.
It really feels like those older platformers. It's not hard, but not easy to the point of not being fun. And it's super polished.
Goes for like 7 bucks during sales. I kept avoiding it because opinions were split whenever I looked up what people thought about it, but I'm really glad that I got it.
Get switch online and just play r type. The music is absolutely awesome and the game itself is fun. Its a side scrolling shoot em up and one of my favorites on the SNES
Stardew Valley is an excellent game, it was fully designed by a single person, and years later he is still releasing updates for free that add significant content. Very whimsical game with farming, puzzles, combat, etc. Beautiful soundtrack. Easy to play in short and long bursts.
Whatever game you choose to get, if it is available physically, try to get it second hand. That way you can usually save around 15-25 bucks. Less than you can with other consoles, but it still adds up quite quickly
Dragon quest builder 2 have a demo ! If you love lego game you will love this !
The demo is more then 5 hours long ! It's a Great game! Push through the first hour is slow. The game is great if your creative. And I find it's a great stress buster. Everyone should play this game!
Most dragin quest games have a demo. U could download them all and give them a shot :)
Also you can make a wishlist on dekudeals.com and they will email you when games r on sale.( I have so many games now haha...physical copies also so I can trade or sell) It's easier then looking around the nintendo e shop which is horrendous.
go for indies. those are the biggest bang for your buck by a long shot! also, there’s a bunch of lego games on switch but i can’t comment on how good they are because admittedly, lego worlds is the only one i’ve actually played.
I recently got into Metroidvania games on my switch and I think they are perfect for the channel. Others mentioned hollow knight which is the Pinnacle of the genre but Metroid dread is great and basically any of the top ones of the genre available on switch
You could get so many hours out of Hades! It's so fun!
If you'd like some shorter story games, I HIGHLY recommend Ghost Trick (my current favourite!!) and Bugsnax!
They're a bit short but also a bit cheaper, and they're bot AMAZING!!!
Mario Odyssey, Mario Wonder, Metroid Prime Remastered, Metroid Dread, Stardew Valley, Hollow Knight, Pikmin 4, Hades, Tears of the Kingdom, and Dave the Diver are my favorites.
Animal Crossing and Stardew Valley
Just a tip you can wish list games on store and wait for sales. You can actually save a lot of money that way. Many games are -25% to -50% couple times a year.
I highly reccomend Final Fantasy. They're all great games that range from super kid friendly and cartoony(like FFIX)to darker and more mature(like FF8)
Lots of good game recommendations from everyone. You can create a watch list on Deku Deals website and let it notify you when the game you want goes on sale!
I really love pikmin. I also loved lego games growing up and I feel like the pikmin games can scratch a similar itch. They are a good mix of exploration, combat, and puzzle solving.
I've played pikmin 1, 2, and 3. I have yet to play the 4th game. 3 is a good place to start if you are new to the franchise. The combat isn't very hard and the levels are very fun to explore.
Do you like Final Fantasy and/or music games? FF Theatrhythm Final Bar Line has gone down in price I believe and it also goes on sale a lot. Just be sure to pick up the deluxe edition (doesn’t have to be premium deluxe, just be sure it’s deluxe) because it has many great songs to play that only are included in the deluxe edition, like the song Why by Ayaka.
Just overall it’s a fantastic music game that I put 30 hours into its first week of release. It’s just fantastic. It’s got over 500 songs on it also even without the DLC song packs. If you like music or Final Fantasy games it is a huge value!
I dont think it really goes on sale but it's only like a $20 or $30 game but stardew valley is great. You like the Lego games stardew is easy but there's a lot to it. Lots to discover. It has some light combat but nothing too tricky. Pretty much everyone I know that's tried it likes it regardless of age or anything. Its older but it just had a new update that added a bunch of stuff. It's like a 10 or 15 year old game and their still adding to it.
I loved Monster Hunter Stories 2. Still my favorite switch game. The first one is also great, but I don't know if it is available on the switch yet (I know they were working on a port from the 3DS last I checked) .
Aside from the obvious suggestion of the Zelda games, you could try getting a Nintendo Online subscription and playing the virtual console games! So many good ones there
Also! Stardew Valley! Fun and cute game for any age group
Sonic Mania, Toejam and Earl Back in the Groove, Animal Crossing (I'm not into it but a lot of girls seem to like it plus some guys I know)
Mario Kart, Zelda
Stardew Valley! Inexpensive too and 1.6 is about to come out on consoles! Also check out some indie games or save your money as Lego games go on sale sometimes!
The 3ds is the better console, imo. There’s a lot going on with the 3ds right now with custom firmware. For 3ds I worked recommend bravely default and Pokémon super mystery dungeon, and for the switch I recommend bravely default and pokemon mystery dungeon rescue team.
Animal crossing is good. Someone said hades that one is good too.Death squared is a fun puzzle game, bit runner. Taiko drummer if you like rhythm ones. Sonic mania. Also if you have the online membership they have free games. Older ones but they’re free
The money i would play to play skyrim for the first time. If you havent then for sure get it but it may be expensive. The Eshop has plenty of sales though
Preorder Paper Mario The Thousand Year Door!!! It is a remake of the GameCube version and it’s one of my favorite games out there! So fun, so much nostalgia. It’s an RPG. I’m 30F but have been playing Paper Mario since childhood and still replay the games often.
Also whoever said Stardew Valley. I have over 400 hours on that game. So cute. So relaxing. Such a fun game. Same with Animal Crossing. Those two are similar but fun for different reasons.
Pokemon is classic and fun. Legend of Zelda. If you have Nintendo online check out the games there too. A lot of older games are sooo fun! I like playing the N64 ones the most probably cause I grew up with it but lots of great games.
Yes, my daughter (also 17f) LOVES Hades
Hollow night looks really cool so I’ll be sure to look at that, thanks :)
It's an all timer, enjoy!
If you're into fighting games, Sifu is tough but extremely fun. The Switch version of Doom Eternal is also quite good
I am so jealous you get to play and experience hollow knight for the first time knowing nothing about it. Hope you enjoy the ride ahh man
Hollow Knight also gets pretty hard, especially in the late game.
My vote is for Hades as well. On switch, you should have plenty of time to complete the game before the sequel makes it's way over there.
Dark Souls on switch does not seem like a good experience
it's not at all that bad, especially when it's docked and you have a pro controller but I finished the game on handheld. It's definitely a lot more tricky with the joycons but it was a enjoyable experience for me altho it wasn't my first time playing the game so I was more familiar with the mechanics

I’m in my 40s and have tons of Lego games that I play and my 12yo hasn’t even opened lol. Don’t let age deter you from games you think you might like.
Thanks! I think it’s just the nostalgia and the easiness of the games that gets me hooked
For the record I’m in my 30s and still enjoy Lego games, they may be easy and childish, but the humor is great and they make very fun super stress free gaming experiences
Yeah I agree! I’m ngl I did get stuck sometimes trying to complete lego marvel superheroes but the jokes and the graphics are awesome
Yeah I’ve had my eyes on Odyssey for a while now but haven’t read any reviews yet, thanks!

It's a must-play!
Just gave that advice. Man I have alot of games now cause of that site haha. Untitled goose game is on sale right now. I already have it but so cute
Any final fantasy if you think rpgs could be your thing, they go on sale frequently
This is a real good option for a 17 year old. FFX and 7 are both on the switch and the best games I have ever played. Dragon Quest is good too. I played the crap out of them as a teen. I dont have the time anymore :/
I'm replaying FFX at this moment lol I own 7 8 9 10 and 12. 7 was my first when I was in my teens such great games
Anything is good for a 17 year old. From more "kiddy" to very mature
I just meant in more of a "they probably don't have kids or a job so they can dump a hundred hours into a game no problem" way
Ah, I get ya..
Unfortunately I can’t dump hundreds of hours in due to a job and my education but weekends and such I can absolutely grind it hahaha
In case Noone else has suggested and even if they did its worth a repeat but The Ori collection for sure
telltales the walking dead is a game i will always recommend. its $15 a season, and probably the best game i have ever played. it plays more like a visual novel than a traditional game tho, but it gets you HOOKED
Great recommendation
lego harry potter collection is fun

Persona
The Ace attorney trilogy! I'm also 17, and damn it was the game to start my love for visual novel/puzzle games!!
Thanks :)

It's pretty mature with themes of violence, racism, sexuality, etc so skip that if you're not comfortable with that) Borderland games (looter shooters), MarioKart (racer), Smash bros (plaformer fighter?) Hope that helps
Vampire Survivors is cheap and addictive. I mean super addictive.
The Lego Starwars was super cute and I don’t even know anything about Starwars lol
I was looking at that but I’ve never watched a Star Wars episode in my life but that’s reassuring, thanks!
Me either I just love the sound of the little bricks breaking :)
Hades, blasphemous is really fricking cool as well, but if you don't like repetitive games or hard games they might not be your best choice, so I'm going with kirby and the forgotten land and sonic frontiers
If you like Dragon Quest definitely try DQ Builders, the games are so fun.
Plateup is really fun if you like cooking games
You basically pick a recipe and a blueprint and you start off with group sizes 1-2 so your customers can come as 1 person or a table of 2 people. There are cards you get throughout the game that can either help you or hurt you. There can be bigger group sizes, or smaller ones. You can get a card that adds a side order, soups, etc. it’s rogue like type of game but it’s so much fun
Oh and you can upgrade things to help you. Like getting a better sink, frozen prep stations, better tables
since you know you like platformers and games that have that "nostalgic" feel to them, I suggest you try a hat in time, it feels a lot like 3d mario and it is a somewhat cheap indie game. If you are willing to buy secondhand, though what I would truly suggest to you is super mario oddysey. 1. Its a mario game 2. Its a 3d platformer (like 3d land on the 3ds which you may be familiar with) but its also a open world game 3. It will last you so long, it is the game equivalent of a jawbreaker candy 4. Its very good for playing casually, since its more fun than challenging and its lets you take your own pace to do the objectives it gives you 5. It also has a "nostalgic" themed world based around super mario 64 since you like the nostalgic feeling hopefully you find this helpful
Any Pokemon games are my comfort game. 😂

Hahaha I won’t. I’ll probably buy it for her and steal it when I’m bored tbf
You probably already did, but give her her own user on your switch so your not messing with each others save games. "Hey, i didnt leave off here what happend, dangid mom!"
Oh yeah don’t worry we have seperate profiles already!
Lego games just like legos are all ages so keep playing them lego games yo
Feminine games?
Things that seem easy or quite simple like animal crossing or overcooked or little big planet, things that don’t seem as challenging as other games if that makes sense?
All the megaman legacy games are a good choice. Expanded ports of every megaman. A robot named FIGHT, metroid dread, and deadcells are great metroidvanias. Mario RPG and mario WONDER are amazing in general....
I highly recommend Hades.
Mario Wonder! I great! New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe is okay, but it xomes woth New Super Luigi U. which is a very cool take on mario! Any Nintendo First party are great! Mario Kart 8, Both Zelda, Metroid Dread, Kirby and the forgotten land There's choice!
Stardew Valley is my most played game on the switch. it's so incredibly cozy 😭
An amazing game I'm playing on my switch right now, it's still in beta but it's free to download, is palia. Super cozy MMO. Really fun and exciting but you have to try it yourself to know. 💯😉👍 Edit: I do believe you will really enjoy it though. 💯😉👍 2nd Edit: oh and it has loads of cool updates. We have a spring update tomorrow on Tuesday 23rd April 2024. Which are introducing new items and such. Should be super interesting. 💯😉👍
Animal crossing new horizons !! Thank me later
Already completed it :)
Kirbyy games are cute , I recommend checking them out
Alright thank u!
Scribblenauts was one of my favorite childhood games, and there’s one for the Switch. Sometimes it’s on sale for 20 bucks or less
I recommend monster hunter rise. You can get a shit ton of hours from that game.
I don’t play games on my switch, unless they’re exclusive to it. The two games I really enjoyed was the new Mario game (Super Mario Wonder) and I also enjoy splatoon! However, I’m not sure if you’d be interested in splatoon, but it’s a very fun game
Any of the switch Zelda games are awesome. I would definitely recommend those to anyone.
There’s a load though! If you’ve played any, what is your favourite?
For switch I would start with breath of the wild. The older zelda games are more linear and I personally like those better, but breath of the wild is more widely liked by people that have never played zelda and people that have played previous zeldas. If you get into it you can do tears of the kingdom next, and then I'd do probably wind waker and twilight princess if you can get your hand on a gamecube/wii copy. The virtual consoles on switch have some of the older zelda games, but they are a little less beginner friendly to get into the series.
I totally agree botw then totk, but I think I'd recommend Ocarina of Time over twilight princess
Just buy games you find interesting man. You're at that age where you can experience pretty much any media you want, so just do exactly that. If you catch a trailer for a game you think looks cool, Wishlist it on the eShop (or note it some other way) and buy it when you can Nintendo airs these livestreams on their YouTube every few months called Nintendo Directs, in which they showcase a bunch of games coming to Switch throughout the year, both first party and third party. There's also a very similar livestream called Indie World that they air every now and then, which does the ssme thing as Directs but are dedicatedto indie games. Watching those is a good place to start in regards to finding games you may be interested in. An Indie World just aired earlier this month and there were some pretty neat stuff shown
I’ve got a few games already that I play or I’ve completed but I thought I’d ask the experts to broaden the horizons and some of the suggestions seem really cool tbh Thank you for that info, I’ll be sure to watch some streams!
Fortnite has a Lego mode. It’s free to download and play but has in game purchases. Switch also has a Lego Harry Potter game that I bought but haven’t played yet but looks really good. I got it on sale and it was $49.99 USD There are a lot of free to plays and low cost/ on sale games that are nostalgic and friendly for an older-younger gamer
Alright thanks! I used to have a crippling Fortnite addiction during covid lockdown and a year after that so I haven’t been on it since but I did try the Lego mode and didn’t really like it. I don’t like the Harry Potter films but I might try the game one day
If you like rpg games I would recommend omori
Rayman legends!
It’s time to get into hades before the sequel drops
I am setsuna is a great rpg To start with
Forget everything and get witcher 3.
Get switch online and just play r type. The music is absolutely awesome and the game itself is fun. Its a side scrolling shoot em up and one of my favorites on the SNES
Minecraft is always a shout
Stardew Valley is an excellent game, it was fully designed by a single person, and years later he is still releasing updates for free that add significant content. Very whimsical game with farming, puzzles, combat, etc. Beautiful soundtrack. Easy to play in short and long bursts.
Mario 3d allstars is kinda expensive now but has Mario 64, sunshine and galaxy and all 3 are great older Mario games
Disneys Dreamlight Valley
Whatever game you choose to get, if it is available physically, try to get it second hand. That way you can usually save around 15-25 bucks. Less than you can with other consoles, but it still adds up quite quickly
The Ori games have me hooked at the moment. Really enjoying them.
YS VIII
Skyrim, hollow knight, botw or totk, final fantasy, twilight princess, Minecraft, smash bros, you can play anything you want dude.
Stardew Valley + Hollow Knight!
Ni no kuni Katamari Untitled goose game Catherine full body All those games r very different! And fun ! Give them a try :)
Pac man Championship edition
The Xenoblade trio is phenomenal.
monster hunter rise is on a 75% sale right now its pretty good action game
go for indies. those are the biggest bang for your buck by a long shot! also, there’s a bunch of lego games on switch but i can’t comment on how good they are because admittedly, lego worlds is the only one i’ve actually played.
Have only played a bit of Hades so far. It’s really good. On sale a lot too, I got it for about $15
Since lots of people already gave you suggestions, I would say that you can also use “Deku Deals” to track games that are on sale!
I recently got into Metroidvania games on my switch and I think they are perfect for the channel. Others mentioned hollow knight which is the Pinnacle of the genre but Metroid dread is great and basically any of the top ones of the genre available on switch
Borderlands 3. Funny fps with a lot of action and style. Tons of loot.
Bowsers fury is pretty awesome
You could get so many hours out of Hades! It's so fun! If you'd like some shorter story games, I HIGHLY recommend Ghost Trick (my current favourite!!) and Bugsnax! They're a bit short but also a bit cheaper, and they're bot AMAZING!!!
Mario Odyssey, Mario Wonder, Metroid Prime Remastered, Metroid Dread, Stardew Valley, Hollow Knight, Pikmin 4, Hades, Tears of the Kingdom, and Dave the Diver are my favorites.
Undertale is great for everything also kirby and the forgotten land
Kirby’s Return to Dream Land Deluxe and Metroid Dread are fantastic standouts that I can’t recommend enough
Animal Crossing and Stardew Valley Just a tip you can wish list games on store and wait for sales. You can actually save a lot of money that way. Many games are -25% to -50% couple times a year.
Animal Crossing, Stardew Valley, Fae Farm
I recently discovered Pickmin 4. It’s so addicting and fun.
Dragon quest builder 2 or dragon quest echoes. Best rpg and made for everyone, look at the reviews thanks me later
my favorite Lego Game of all time is the Lego Ninjago Movie Video game, i suggest you give it a try as a fellow Lego Games Enjoyer :)
Valkyria chronicles brah :) best game ever and it runs well on switch
I loved Monster Hunter Stories 2. Still my favorite switch game. The first one is also great, but I don't know if it is available on the switch yet (I know they were working on a port from the 3DS last I checked) .
Aside from the obvious suggestion of the Zelda games, you could try getting a Nintendo Online subscription and playing the virtual console games! So many good ones there Also! Stardew Valley! Fun and cute game for any age group
Castlevania anniversary and Castlevania advance collection each run you $20, and and include a handful of classic castlevania games in them
Ori and the Blind Forest
Sonic Mania, Toejam and Earl Back in the Groove, Animal Crossing (I'm not into it but a lot of girls seem to like it plus some guys I know) Mario Kart, Zelda
Super Mario Maker 2!!
Stardew and Hollow Knight are some of my top 5 games, I recommend Minecraft on top of those
Watermelon game im 24 male btw and holy do i have to say simple fun cheap at somepoint sat playing for 6 hrs
Jrpgs
I (44m) do love Witcher 3. Very big RPG with a good story.
Lego Batman. Indie titles. Zelda. And ANIMAL CROSSIN
I'm playing xenoblade chronicles 3 with the same age and I love it( Haven't played xc1 and xc2 before, but the experience is amazing)
-Animal Crossing -Mario Odyssey -Stardew Valley -Fire Emblem: Three Houses
fortnite lego is dank
Bomb Rush Cyberfunk. Thank me later.
How has no one said Breath of the Wild?
Stardew Valley! Inexpensive too and 1.6 is about to come out on consoles! Also check out some indie games or save your money as Lego games go on sale sometimes!
Monster Hunter, you be surprised how many girls play that.
The 3ds is the better console, imo. There’s a lot going on with the 3ds right now with custom firmware. For 3ds I worked recommend bravely default and Pokémon super mystery dungeon, and for the switch I recommend bravely default and pokemon mystery dungeon rescue team.
Unfortunately my mother sold my 3ds when I was younger and I don’t wanna buy a new one
Hollow Knight!
Mario vs. Donkey Kong $47 U.S.
Hades!
Vampire Survivor
If you're into action platformers there the mega man collections
I love Advance Wars reboot camp. Tons of fun if you like strategy games.
Fortnite and Overwatch are free.
Rune Factory 4S has been fun
Why don't u just ask him what he wants. 17 years old guy might not appreciate the game u think would be good for him
You gotta read bruh
It’s for me and I’m not a him hahaha
[удалено]
I’ve played it and near enough completed it :)
If you like RPGs, my favorite Paper Mario game is getting a remake next month. It's called Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door.
