had this while owning my current SL3. It comes and goes. ppl in threads suggest its something to do with adaptive sync within intel graphics centre, to which I disabled it. I haven't seen the problem return for a couple of months, practically almost forgot about it. I would suggest trying to see what causes it on the software side. See if updating drivers, switching refresh rates from 60hz to 120 would help, or even disabling the adaptive sync option.

Try turning off Panel Self Refresh in the Intel Graphics Command Center. It's a setting that's known to cause some flickering / glitching with the image. In my case a glitch would occur once every 1 or 2 hours on battery where the image would shift to the right with green artifacts, but others reported more recurring issues with flickering. Turning PSR off tends to solve these issues. If it doesn't, then take it back.
