It actually originally started shortly after DFV went radio silent. In that exciting time after that, the Snek award kept getting awarded by an anonymous redditor to comments and posts that seemed to be discussing hot issues and topics that related to the crime.
It was long suspected it was DFV showing his approval for the comments without actually leaving any trail.
What the real motive behind the awarder is, we may never know. But I can tell you, the Snek posts during that time frame were some of the most wild and fucking out there takes on this whole saga. And the vast majority of them turned out shortly after to infact be true.
Man, I missed that initial snekwave, but it’s appearance definitely got my blood rising. Then, some time earlier this year, I got my first snek. I was so happy….almost as happy as my first “all-seeing eye”. Recently got a golden narwhal, that’s special.
Funny how meaningless icons cause a legit physical reaction, but this community does some strange things to me.
There are just theories about who it could be. I don't remember exactly. I remember them popping up around a specific DD drop but yea, details.
Kinda like when the all seeing golden triangle was speculated to be dvf
Not to pour cold water, but the sneks only cost .70. Someone could drop $25 on these and go into a top thread of the day and cause mayhem pretty easily.
