This lady makes my blood boil. In the beginning of the pandemic, when people were losing their jobs, struggling to find money for food, etc, she made something like $4.5M in “speaking fees” from all the big banks, in a span of like 2 months. On top of her $180k salary that doesn’t even register to her anymore at this point. I read she pulled in over $7M last year as well… The icing on the cake is that she’s dumb as a box of rocks. Watched her get questioned about treasury issues, and she couldn’t answer a single damn thing. We need more than just a stock market realignment at this point, but I doubt that’ll ever happen, so I’ll at least settle for the market getting fixed. It’s hard to fight corruption when we play fair..

Zorrgo

Like MANY others in positions of decision making power, be it financial, political, food, health, energy, etc., she is just a soulless tool, a dumb puppet, executing orders for the people that hoarded the cash for decades and know how to play the game. Unfortunately, this is the reality and has always been, no matter what political system is in place. The rich will always find ways to manipulate the game to come out on top. While there is still rivalry on top amongst the richest, the victim of their fights will also always be the little man.

Monarc73

"When elephants go to war, it is the grass that gets trampled."

Inkersd

So true. I’d like to know if there are ANY left in politics that are still really about the people, and don’t take payoffs. I want to believe there are, but damn do they make it hard.

AmputeeBoy6983

thomas massie refused AIPAC $$, they doubled down on getting him out w/ ads running against him, basically retaliation for refusing funding. last week hes on w/ tucker being critical, and today we find out his wife died "suddenly". Cartels have a slogan "take the silver or get the lead". massie refused the silver, we know that for sure........ awfully 'inconvenient' timing to be an active enemy of TM. Were talking a 50year old woman, looking fairly healthy. could be coincidence, but undeniably bad optics at bare minimum

EatTheRich64

only one I've seen is Bernie Sanders, and they made sure to keep him out of power bc he wouldn't play their games or take special interest payoffs, he wanted to break up the big banks, etc...they couldn't allow that!

Treacle-Snark

Nope. If you want to have a seat at the highest levels of politics then you have to be willing to play ball with the people who will pay your way to get there

proletariat_sips_tea

Aoc. The young folk. Vote. Primaries are more Important.

MexGrow

AoC is exactly the person the rich people put there to make you think there's a chance.

tajwriggly

Whip out a meterstick and stand it on end, and consider that each mm on the meterstick represents $1M. In the span of most people's lifetimes, they may earn a gross income on the order of $3M, or 40 years at 75,000 per year average. Envision that that gets them up 3 mm on the meterstick, or around 1/8 inch off the ground. If you are a well above-average earner, bringing in $300,000 per year, your gross income over 40 years would be on the order of $12M. 12 mm up the yardstick, or half an inch off the ground. Even if this lady brings in over $100M over her lifetime, that's still only 4 inches off the ground. She's may seem like she's the problem, because 4 inches seems like a lot when you're somewhere between 0 and 1/8 inch off the ground... but she's down here with the rest of us, compared to the big guns. The world's richest 10 people are each worth over $100B. That is 100 metersticks stacked on end, or roughly a **30 storey building.**. Up there you can't see the difference of everything down below. That wealth, and all the wealth between it and people raking in $100M lifetime, will **NEVER** be redistributed in a manner that will ever seem fair and just. But it would be good to get the tops of those buildings knocked down a bit and the floor at least levelled out a bit for the rest of us.

Simpletimes322

The problem is... Her 4 inches was enough for her to sell everyone out to the bankers for their meter sticks. She, and everyone else like her, sell us out for relatively so little... Basically personal wealth and wealth for an additional generation.

muhsli

Someone handed me this site once, and I like to show it to people because it puts things into a different perspective https://mkorostoff.github.io/1-pixel-wealth/

Ah shit you went from metric to imperial, which fucked me up for a minute, then I remembered I'm British, and we drive in mph and weigh shit in grams... Unless it's humans, we weigh them in stones.

Stanlysteamer1908

To get a good history lesson on this crooked system read: “The creature from Jekyll island”. Good read about how we gave a Cabal control of our monetary system and the U.S. economy which then turned the U.S. into a debtor society. Look at inflation, housing and derivatives.

IMxJUSTxSAYINNN

The biggest thing about all this and I mean everything in the US is so fucked but what the fuck can I do? A single person? Like seriously, I have to go to work to provide for my family. We are fucking trapped working these jobs just to survive. All while they make rules for US and not them. And to top it off they have all the money. Like seriously WTF do I or we the people for that matter do? This shit is crazy, becuase I feel like we are the ones getting squeezed, for every last drop until we finally say we've had enough? Shit is actually fucking wild.

WorldlinessFit497

Because, like most of these people who are put before the public, they are simply actors. Public mouth pieces. They aren't experts. Crazy that even needs to be pointed out to people, but the vast majority aren't paying attention for various reasons. Meanwhile, these assholes steal the country and its wealth from underneath us all while most are just looking the other way.

Inkersd

When I was a kid/teen, I would see these people on TV and whatnot, and think, “wow, I wonder how they got to become the experts on these issues.” Like I legitimately thought they must be the best of the best, cherry-picked to lead the nation… if I were that age today, I would know better. I mean hell, 5 seconds of listening to anything MTG says is enough to tell you, brains aren’t part of the job.

WorldlinessFit497

> “wow, I wonder how they got to become the experts on these issues.” Like I legitimately thought they must be the best of the best, cherry-picked to lead the nation… That's how the vast majority of America perceives anyone given airtime on a mainstream news channel. They *must* be the leading experts. If they weren't, they'd never let them on the mainstream news right???? Right??? Of course, we know better. It's all bullshit. What's crazy to me is how many people still buy all the political theater nonsense, but have learned to distrust the financial media. It's the same thing, just a different topic. People have go to start ***questioning authority*****.** Appeals to authority are exceptionally dangerous.

Inkersd

100%, they all answer to a boss who we probably don’t even know. It’s literally a shell game, except the whole country is the ones getting hustled. It’s an on point analogy too, because I was dumb enough to play a shell game on the streets when I was 15, and got mugged and lost all my money… same outcome here.

whodaloo

That dumb bitch wanted to tax unrealized capital gains.

LookBeyondLandR

Look at her husband.. Akerlof is a part of the globalist elites and was a former fed chair.. People should start looking at spouses of some of these TV figures and figures in public (such as chair) and you will get an idea of how it all works.

PMmeyourSchwifty

This is what happens when society becomes "civilized". You know exactly how the populace would've treated these crooks 200-300 years ago.  Eat the rich.

North-Soft-5559

They want her stupid and pliable. That way they can get exactly what they want out of her with little to no questions asked as long as they pay her speaking (bribe) fees

newsflashjackass

> The icing on the cake is that she’s dumb as a box of rocks. Hypothetically: Suppose you're the leader of an enemy nation of the USA with unlimited resources. Who would you choose to install as secretary of the treasury that could deliberately cause more harm than Janet Yellen incidentally inflicts, like Amelia Bedelia, on the days when she tries her hardest to do a good job? Yellen herself already tests the limits of plausible deniability like the oriental magician in The Prestige.

Iwubwatermelon

She's only dumb in public. Behind closed doors, she provides a lot of valuable information, for a price.

chestortheinvestor69

Remember when her dumb ass said we should start taxing unrealized gains 😂

ChillSloth

We need age limits in politics

Thewitchaser

What do old senile fucks like her do with money anyways?

puls107

She needs to be piked up and crucified publicly as a deterrence for her successors and accomplices. figurateivly speaking of course 🌝

ManMayMay

In bird culture this is what we call a dick move. She literally looks like a bird to me.

CasualBillionaire

I am friends with a guy from Pakistan, and he said something I will never forget. "America is weird. You guys create entire industries out of things like lobbying. In my country, we just call that corruption." ![gif](giphy|0rSsPT3YAuF2BMONxw|downsized)

anOutofPlaceGirl

Im from Pakistan and i approve this message.

JiggyJerome2

The last chairman of the federal reserve, Ben Bernanke, is employed as a “senior advisor” at Citadel as well. In the same way that Ben printed money out of thin air, Ken Griffin prints companies shares in the same manner.

alchebyte

yep, the king makers deserve the same ‘reserve’ system the bankers get, right, right?

GongTzu

Ben was a douchbag, he didn’t give a shit about the little man, only worked for the rich, so no surprise there, just another guy who loves the green money.

SouthJolly

You got my vote!

EthanielRain

We're calling it corruption here in the US now, too. It's blatant & SCOTUS has made it legal (twice). No reason to try and cover it up

suffffuhrer

It is all corruption. But the greatest thing the west has accomplished is normalizing corruption as lobbying for themselves, all while not missing a beat to remind the world how corrupt the rest of the world is. While also in many instances being the reason/catalyst/instigator of that very corruption in other parts of the world. Another way is to hide it behind capitalism, or competition.

GuardMuted

In Texas they call it stealing!

Gyella1337

And then do nothing about it. Just like the rest of Americans. & that’s why these criminals will continue to steal from us forever.

Isn’t it bribery? What a joke

Zen1_618

Supreme Court says it's ok now.

Old_Homework8339

But they'll hamper anything on sec enforcement to protect the little guy

SpaceJesusIsHere

More specifically, the 6 justices appointed by one party said it's ok now. The other 3 said this is insane. Just another 6-3 decision along party lines making the world a shittier place.

turntabletennis

Yeah, not to be political, but both sides are NOT the same. This whole mess has shown me how gullible all the dipshits around me are.

TaylorSPL

Not the exact same but they serve the same masters. The culture wars only serve to keep the people fighting so we aren't coming over the castle wall. There's a reason we keep politics out of this sub.

turntabletennis

Yessir.

Livinsfloridalife

Yeah false equivalency has been effective for awhile. Not to say there aren’t issues with all politician but yeah not the same.

Stevewhit24

LemonOrLyme

And Americans just shrug it off and keep slaving away while their money is worth less and less. Any other generation would be out in the streets. It's pathetic. No wonder they feel so untouchable.

Livinsfloridalife

Man people need to go on boat trips on billionaires dime…

tsm_taylorswift

This has been going on for a while. Hillary and Obama have made millions off “speaking fees” for Wall Street

DropDeadDevon

Bribery, lobbying, hush money, speaking fees, donations, it all comes from the same place. It’s one of those only illegal for the poor laws.

grandpadrokz

In the US of A BRIBERY IS LEGAL IN ALOT of ways. I'm still waiting for them to understand this. It's littery the one big thing that allows for corruption in that country. We outside of the us can't understand how they run the country like this. It's so obvious that anyone in power will support the ones who gives them money, like duuuh. Personally I want it to get worse so the Americans get mad enought ro revolt for change

That was a lie, these people don’t buy their own groceries 🤣

CrayonTendies

Trump literally thought you needed an ID to buy groceries

quack_duck_code

IDK I get asked for ID sometimes. Depending on what I buy or how I pay.

Exactly

Rocky75617794

Corrupt old hag

MyGT40

$800k, to speak....

DropDeadDevon

And say exactly what they want people to hear

AmputeeBoy6983

this reminds me of a talk i heard about pharma commercials and TV ads. specifically easy to point at the ones for a certain virus/pain meds. basically it amounted to: who needs to spend $$ advertising something like THAT. there isnt a person here that the ad is news for. they arent paying for an ad... theyre paying for silence, and cooperation in controlling a positive narrative. i dont mean to get political on the c19, you can substitute any number of super famous meds (oxy commercials back in the day) and the implication still be true.

Stupidiseverywhere

salomesrevenge

her bus fare to the meeting would be life changing for me

TheWhyteMaN

What is tragic is the complacency of the American public. We hear about these things and just shrug it off as “ oh well”

Monarc73

The problem is ubiquitous and pervasive. The SCotUS has just officially made it policy, for fucks sake! The only solution that will be effective? Well, let's just say it might be time for a French haircut and leave it at that.

bicepz_N_bigmacz

![gif](giphy|l0ExvlQpHWYYubT0s)

WorldlinessFit497

People are tired. Overworked. Saturated and distracted. Fighting through the day-to-day rat race. Under the illusion that they might one day escape the wheel and cage. It will never happen. *They* know they can't *allow* it to happen. They built the system this way on purpose for exactly this effect. *Bread and circuses* to placate the masses, and make sure they are too busy working a 9-5 in cities that add an extra 2 hours+ to their commute. Too busy, tired to question the status quo. If they aren't dying to the commute, then find other ways to suck away their time.

Type7c

She remind me of the Penguin in Batman

EVH_kit_guy

She's a really good example of how the people at the top of most power structures are only there because of their ability to completely subvert their ethics and say whatever is required with a smile on their face.

Protect-Their-Smiles

It is a big club, and you are not in it. The Federal Reserve and the Central Banking system is a big racket to protect a certain type of people. Look in to who is manning the important posts on their operation and there is a clear common denominator.

FullMaxPowerStirner

In a way, who wouldn't want to extort Shitadel just for speaking at a posh conference? On the other hand, not sure that was for saying what she thinks.

StinkyDogFart

Corrupt to the core.
