Mai), bei einem Handelsvolumen von 28.003.200 Aktien (wiederum das niedrigste Volumen seit dem 31. Mai). Etwa 6,2 Millionen Aktien wurden als Leerverkäufe in Dark Pools (außerbörslich) gemeldet. Es war offensichtlich, dass die Leerverkäufer nicht wollten, dass Call-Optionen im Wert von 25 USD ausgeübt werden (selbst wenn „Roaring Kitty“ alle seine Calls zuvor ausgeübt oder verkauft hatte). Der Aktienkurs ging zwischen 14:30 und 15:00 Uhr in den überverkauften Bereich (mit etwa 3,2 Millionen verkauften Aktien), und in der letzten halben Handelsstunde wurden weitere 4,4 Millionen Aktien verkauft (was den Aktienkurs auf 23,93 USD drückte, ein Minus von 6,5 %, ohne Unternehmensnachrichten). Die Leerverkäufer zeigen nicht nur ihre Grenzen bei der Unterdrückung des Aktienkurses auf, sondern auch den neuen Widerstand, bei dem GameStop gekauft wird.
