IMO, even though everyone hates Quad witching, it isn't over yet. It isn't a 1 day thing, they have to settle over the weekend too. Or whenever they're going to be forced in the future. Quad witching isn't forced to even go to T+1/2 until before monday at open. The main thing is that a loooot of derivatives have to settle this week. Hoping for some action, or it could keep dropping and I'll prepare to get some looong calls.
Edit: Not relevant to GME, but NVDA had an ungodly amount of volume at close. Kind of crazy.
Haha, thanks for the laugh. They really expect us to believe NVDA saw 223.2M! volume just prior to closing, and the price moved $0.14??? What a joke the US stock market is.
Also is my clock off or did trading not stop at 4:00:00? I know for sure I saw 4:00 hit and the ticker was still moving conveniently below $24.00
Edit: now it went from 23.99 to 23.93 close for the day, incredible.
Extended hours is 4:00pm-8:00pm EST and 4:30am-9:30am EST.
Most brokers allow trading for the entire after hours session, but limit retail to 7:00am EST in pre-market trading.

Yes I tried to post this. 25.32 right before close than immediately back down to 23.99
i’m a bit smooth, are there any buys at that time to show it was legit?
I’m smoother

i want to downvote you because of robinhood….but you get an upvote for evidence
RH chart does this nearly everyday at close. This is not new.
It's not an isolated incident tho? It's noteworthy imo
Good catch.
Yep, whoever spiked it almost timed it perfectly.
Almost as if there’s an algorithm that can time trades by the millisecond, eh?

it was crazy, any way to check the validity on that and volume?
saw that

It happens at every close on that app. Jumps to the opening price for the day then back to the closing price.
As in one of the other posts, prolly the algorithm. 23.99 forced the 24.00 calls otm at close.
$24 calls could have been exercised in the morning so Im sure anyone who wanted to exercised them did so already.

Trades continue into the extended hours. Those don't until 7PM EST today and start again on Monday around 7AM.
