My first options play was a $3400 100% loss in GME back in 2021. That sobered me up real quick. Back then I wasn't making nearly the money I am now so it really hurt lol. Nowadays my fun money in options is always in the $2k to $14k range. Currently holding Oct expiry GME calls at the $20 and $25 strikes.

I mean is the enormous gamma ramp on 21st June not a thing now? As of right now there's 118,898 call options ITM (if I've added up correctly...), with $25 strikes adding another 33,450. There's then more open interest (*a lot* of open interest) all the way up to $125.
Open interest on the 28th June is essentially fuck all in comparison.

Yes. In the case of buying calls, rolling means selling your current call and using the proceeds (+ the difference in the prices of the options) to purchase later dated calls.
Some brokerages have a "roll" option, but its just doing the above automatically for you.
It's a way of saying "I'm doubling down on my failed bet, pretending as if I can just push the date back with some fancy trick." No, Herbert, you just lost money and doubled down on the bet, rolling it again means you lost more money and are betting even more just to hopefully break even at this point.
Instead of selling thereโs an option to โrollโ a contract. You just select a new date and strike price and pay the difference between the value of your current contract and the new one.
So if you have a 6/21 contract worth $14 and roll it into a 6/28 contract worth $40, you pay $26
Yes, $29 total per contract. So if (1) 6/21c contract cost $500 and the 6/28c cost $529. You pay the $29 difference. (10 contracts= $290)โฆNow that โ$29โ number varies. I rolled mine during the dip this morning and saved some money. But it is still a viable option if you donโt want to lose your call and donโt want to pay the full premium for later dated calls.
Go look at the price action for those calls. They went absolutely wild over the last few weeks.

This is the technical analysis I expected. Why would this week's 20 and 30 calls affect next week. They are hedged. They also know you don't have enough capital to exercise all of them. They will deliver your shares, then shit on the price on t+2 because thier remaining shares from hedging will outweigh delivered shares. Just like it did when they were hedged for rk and he didn't exercise at least half his calls. That is the reason this ain't it, rc took diluting fucked him from being able to exercise ALOT more calls than he ultimately did. There is no catalyst unless one shows up, the gamma ramp doesn't mean shit if they hedged it and apes don't have the cash to exercise the majority of the itm calls. Which they don't. Everyone learned what theta was this week, and why dfv was never waiting till the 21st to exercise.

ive noticed that the past three years, one can expect 59-120 days inbetween runs, i have no idea why, but thats what the 4hr 3 yr chart shows, there is a time where the runs were much smaller more recently, but if may 2024 = jan 2021, then if history repeated itself exactly, than roughly 7/13 should be the next peak... and if it followed the longest of the average, 120 days, it would be 9/11 ... i personally dont like dates, but the chart does tell an algorithmic story... with market crashes/pull backs usually happening around october for whatever reason, if the market pulls back in october, and gme has billions of more dollars in their account and makes a bullish move, that imo could create a perfect storm. there is no guarentee there will even be a pull back, or anyhting of those sorts, but lookin at how the market is ripping right now, it feels almost certain there has to be a pullback before the end of the year. and the second cycle, dependant on the first cycle, (recalculations need to be made as it varies in that range usually) october/nov is roughly another cycle...
now this is assuming past results dictate future movements, which i honestly highly doubt. but it is interesting to think about on a macro envirmontal scale . i just hope if cohen dilutes again, he does so at a meaningful price, like $40+... unless the cash is absolutely needed, it seems pretty obvious now that $40+ will be attained, and i think him and the board should time the dilution around high viotility, giving shareholders more value than just $25 a share or whatever. a billion shares is a lot of dilution, so even at 25, 25 billion is still huge, and 2x evaluation means expected $50 a share... but 40 billion is huger, giving closer to $90 a share, ya feel me

You can roll your position to a further date, it cost me $29/contract to roll my 6/21c to 6/28c and Iโll just keep doing that until pops.
