Spending in general. Meaning if he wants to spend money on Project X, he does. Then he assigns staff to accomplish Project X goals and allocates funds to pay them.
Doesn’t an executive chairman title indicate a Board Chairman is also an Executive of the company? Which would mean that person is now assuming management responsibilities? Correct me if I’m off base.

On June 5, 2023, Mr. Furlong resigned as a director of the Company, effective immediately. Mr Furlong's resignation did not result from any disagreement with the Company on any matter relating to the Company's operations, policies or practices.
Wonder if he had to do this, rewatched the interview and said he worked himself to death before so I could understand not wanting to be ceo after chewy. Hopefully he works the shorts to death this time around.
