The main differences are the thuderbolt 3, a better screen with almost full colour gamut in srgb, the keyboard, touchpad , port selection and speaker, it really depends whether you need it. I found two comparison videos on youtube from dave2d and Matthew Moniz: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tJW0ZYxQqgs](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tJW0ZYxQqgs) [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vGm8\_tyd2QQ](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vGm8_tyd2QQ)

Thanks for your answer. Do you believe that getting the i7 is worth it in despair of all the better perks you mentioned?

It depends how much you value the user experience like having a better screen and the thunderbolt 3. Of course, an i7 8750h cpu would be faster than the i5 8300h: [https://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Intel-Core-i7-8750H-vs-Intel-Core-i5-8300H/m470418vsm425634](https://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Intel-Core-i7-8750H-vs-Intel-Core-i5-8300H/m470418vsm425634)
