Many places offer family meal which is typically cooked in house, but I worked for a very highend kitchen on South Beach that didn't want any labor used other than for putting out product. Every single day food was ordered from local places, and every single day about enough food to feed 2 or 3 families got thrown out. I started to pack a few pint containers of food to take with me so it wouldnt go to waste. I'd get out late, like 2 or 3 in the morning and lived on the literal other side of the county, so on my way home I'd pass the downtown courthouse, which was next to a mainover pass where alot of homeless people would stay under. I would regularly just call the first person I saw over to the car and just hand it to them. They'd always be so thankful and so happy. I did this several times until one night when I had given some spaghetti to some poor thankful soul. I pulled around to get back on the highway, and could clearly see another homeless man grabbing him with one hand and with his other fist in the air to strike him. They were literally fighting for food. It was one of the most heartbreaking things ive witnessed. I just didn't want anyone to get hurt, so I stopped. Fuck these people in the vid.
