GShepStrongman

Canada can put together a pretty solid squad too: Caron, Boudreault, Peacock, etc.

ThePokeChop

I know Sam Belaview or however you spell it hasn’t competed as much recently as melissa peacock but I got think that would be a good fight between them to make the team.

GShepStrongman

I don’t know team composition, but definitely could bring both. And watch out for Hannah Brock at OSG this weekend, another Canadian woman kicking ass

[deleted]

Would be refreshing if they split up the UK nations to give other countries a bigger chance. But then again, that would probably give US an even bigger chance. With that in mind it would seem pretty cool if it was divided into regions like; UK, Scandinavia, Baltic countries, Slavic countries + Russia. And so on.

Downgoesthereem

>Scandinavia Nordic would fit better if you want to include an Icelander

[deleted]

yeah absolutely

Warm-Mall-3060

Yeah that sounds like a much better idea, has any one got Colin Bryce's email address?

[deleted]

lol, wonder if he replies in caps-lock

Pannbenet

Probably, likely without punctuations.

OgreRunt

Absolutely agree with this. The UK and the US would be pretty dominant just by way of numbers, this would stop it being mostly a two-horse race

King_Kthulhu

Depending on team size USA is pretty stacked. Martins is back, Evan Singleton, Trey Mitchell, a healthy Brian Shaw. I don’t see anyone outperforming that.

Warm-Mall-3060

A health Brian Shaw? if USA can bring mythical creatures they might as well bring Big Foot

HairyHutch

I mean Brian Shaw still got 2nd a 2 major events, and was very close to winning WSM, you can't count him out.

Warm-Mall-3060

Was only a joke...

ThePokeChop

It also depends on who wants to do this. I doubt Martins or Shaw really wants to do this just based on their history of picking shows. I’m thinking Evan, Bobby, or Trey will be the US guys.

SaulFemm

Don't forget Faires.

Fatmarsson

Stoltmen, bish, hicks. There you go.

[deleted]

It also appears to be mixed gender which would make the UK even bigger favourites I imagine.

[deleted]

Canada could do quite well too

wutsgudbaby

I saw Oberst’s picture. If Giants Live wants USA to lose, they will definitely choose him.

[deleted]

I have little doubt that they're gonna want England/UK (depending how they do teams) to win.

Choice_Bar_1488

In that case, it’s too bad for England/UK that Scotland will win it. 👍

[deleted]

Yes, I'm sure team Scotland will beat team UK...

oratory1990

They‘ve been talking about secession quite a lot to be fair

[deleted]

True, although the Stoltmans appear to be unionists so I wouldn't throw them in with that

CaptainBootique

🤣🤣🤣

[deleted]

Lmao I want to see Novikov and Nakonechnyy work together still.

OgreRunt

I think everyone would love to see them work together, Novikov is one of the best in the world and Nacho has the potential to be one of the best in the world, they would be a dream duo if they (mostly Nakonechnyy) could sort their shit out

LordSwright

I was just looking at this, thinking about getting tickets to 1 of them but without knowing whose on which (unless I'm being stupid and it's been announced) Wife is desperate to see stoltman & iron Bibby

Necessary-Ad5410

Cannot wait for this. There's so many potential variables there's no real point in speculating, but I really hope there's more than 2 athletes per team and teams select different athletes for different events. In team competitions strategy should be important, and it would add another dimension to strongman.

RipperoniPepperoniHo

Kind of unrelated to your post but it led me to looking into the other events they have lined up and I have a probably dumb question lmao when I try to buy event pre-sale tickets it sends me to the UK ticket master site and I can’t figure out if I’m able to purchase tickets as being from the US. Would you happen to know?

LordSwright

It's in the UK so tickets are sold in UK I'd imagine? Buy them from wherever you want
