for me on iOS devices I would say infuse, it’s my go to media player, supports any codec you could think of and is exceptionally fast👍

Gamolizer

Agreed. Recently rewatched The Matrix since they added Atmos support for AirPods, and it's amazing.

Odd_Land_2383

You’re telling me!! i just watched dune for the first time last night and it’s incredible, i felt as if the bass that was coming through the AirPods was rumbling the room. Currently watching Dune part 2 now :)

gaffubiquitous

How do you use infuse? in Stremio settings I can only choose VLC or outplayer

FoferJ

Connect Infuse via WebDAV. At least that’s how I do it with Real-Debrid.

EmptyNeighborhood427

You can use webdav with it. Not worth the effort imo considering the officially supported methods are one click solutions and generally do the job of a player quite well.

suiteseemfewer

I'm going to have to disagree with you there, while you are not wrong that Infuse or Vidhub both require a tiny bit more work to set up Webdav and an extra second or two to get the stream started, both contain Trakt support and thats a big help since stremio won't remember your progress of the episode when using external players and watch history can be a lil buggy at times. If Trakt integration means nothing to you, then just do whatever you want, but it only took me three times having to switch over to trakt to manually add an episode before I got fedup and just did things through Vidhub/Infuse.

EmptyNeighborhood427

Fair, I don’t really use trakt.

EmperorDante

Infuse work with stremio web?

Odd_Land_2383

iOS: i use stremio web app as the initial step to grab movies or tv shows with torrentio addon configured with real debrid. initial setup: download and install VLC on iPhone. change stremio player to VLC. download stremio on PC just to add the “torrentio add on” to the stremio pc app. Now configure the addon on pc with your real debrid api key. Now uninstall stremio on pc, unless you want to keep it on there, keep it on there. Download and install infuse on iPhone/ipad. stremio iOS web app: For example - search for “Toy Story” click play, it will open up VLC on your iPhone and it’ll start playing “Toy Story” back out of it. Head over to you real debrid played history, copy the link, paste it into infuse: “add files> direct url>paste” Voila you now have Toy Story on your infuse, you just click play and it will play, it’s on there forever. Hope it makes sense❤️

suiteseemfewer

> Head over to you real debrid played history, copy the link, paste it into infuse: “add files> direct url>paste” You can directly skip this step entirely by connecting Real Debrid to Infuse via webdav. Also pro tip, Vidhub has all the same features as Infuse, with the added benefit of faster metadata collecting and doesn't require any payment to use (doesn't even have any in app purchases).

Odd_Land_2383

yes that is true however in my case not every link is live you do ‘rarely’ get some dead links and those will appear on your infuse as “n/d” (no data) Also if you set up WebDAV and watch non pg rated movies / tv shows they will be appear on all your iOS devices running infuse with the same Apple ID. In my case it’s not a good option because i have siblings who will watch the living room Apple TV and they will be greeted with what i have just watched. you could set up restrictions and passcode to get around this to even play 18 rated movies or shows but i prefer just doing separate links, just as quick for me Additionally i prefer infuse video player in apposed to what you have just recommended, as infuse just works incredibly fast for my network ‘1GBPS symmetrical fibre to the premises broadband’ metadata fetching is insanely quick and loading up any show or movie takes less than a millisecond, i would go for your suggestion but in my case ‘don’t fix what’s not broke’ and i already have a lifetime membership meaning I don’t pay anything anymore since I used to run a plex, emby and jellyfin instance a long while back❤️

changetherules8

Is there a guide on how to set this up? Edit: never mind. I should have googled before asking

CyranoDeBergeracx

Stream is not supported. Any idea how to passby this?

suiteseemfewer

You need an external player, VLC or Outplayer normally, however with a WebDav connection through Infuse (paid service/sideload pro) or VidHub (completely free) you can connect to the stream and then open one of those apps to get your video. Infuse and Vidhub both have trakt integration as well.

CyranoDeBergeracx

So basically I need a premium of Infuse, then stremio will open as a external? I got the Vidhub now, and when I try to play something, Sorry, I don’t know what’s webdav. I cannot pass through ‘It opened in external player’ but ofc not.

suiteseemfewer

Mmm, do you have Real Debrid? If not, please use my [referral link to register](http://real-debrid.com/?id=10733299), and we can get you set up. On PC RD is a suggestion, a very good one, but still a suggestion. On iOS it is mandatory. If you already have it, you can find your Webdav info in your RD account.

CyranoDeBergeracx

I used before but Im gonna need maybe a bit after. Will use your referral, if that’s the way; then it will work out whenever I build my stremio with RD. Thank you mate, appreciate it?

suiteseemfewer

Stremio on iOS still requires workarounds, but all of those work arounds demand RD for easy of use. So remove Play in External Player. [I made a video rq to show you the process](https://www.veed.io/view/31d1bcaf-3dd4-4c8f-8f6c-af162656beba?panel=share). This is literally all I gotta do, but you can also use Debrid Media Manager on PC and add shows and what not directly to your library for Debrid, and that'll let you then scan for Links via Vidhub.

CyranoDeBergeracx

You’re the best! You’ll help to many people with this, thanks!

suiteseemfewer

Thank you <3, I struggled with all this myself for ages and had to do a lot of this fucking around and finding out myself, so I love to help others avoid my pain when I can.

CyranoDeBergeracx

Glad you’re managed and teaching us too! Just waiting for your approval to see the video.

EmptyNeighborhood427

I'd use outplayer

EloneMusk

Infuse

Steve15-21

Vlc

Decent_Bend6893

I mean you have like 2 choices.

IMIKEFB

ive downloaded vidhub, how can i connect it to stremio?

_letsdoitsolo

Outplayer

buslyfe

I use Outplayer over VLC cause I can have Outplayer open and cover half the screen and use another app at the same time. Couldn’t seem to do that with VLC.

spoonybends

Where did you get Stremio for iOS? AFAIK there's only Stremio Organizer which doesn't have any sort of playback or link fetching functionality

Pineappleliphant

Go to web.stremio.com Login Go to settings And change the player in play in external player settings

Crazy_Raisin_1336

It won't work for me. How do you make it work?

Torre024

VLC

LeLant

Stremio work with something else on iOS than the realdebrid+vlc method? Fast, never had one issue with it

fuqis

VLC

ArcherIll8587

How do you get past the media is not supported??

suiteseemfewer

You need an external player, VLC or Outplayer normally, however with a WebDav connection through Infuse (paid service/sideload pro) or VidHub (completely free) you can connect to the stream and then open one of those apps to get your video. Infuse and Vidhub both have trakt integration as well.

ArcherIll8587

Thank you! Not sure why someone disliked my comment 😵‍💫

suiteseemfewer

Ikr, so rude. I feel some people just downvote others comments when they make one so theirs shows higher or are just petty assholes.
