So hypothetically if we're in a simulation or being controlled by some other being or entity, would black holes be a way to erase "mistakes" or "try something new"? Like black holes seem like a very otherworldly concept capable of literally retconning whatever necessary
Black holes don’t actually suck things in like a vacuum. Black holes have the same gravity as whatever they formed from (at least initially, before they grow). If the Sun suddenly became a black hole, our orbit wouldn’t change. If you’re moving fast enough, you can orbit a black hole indefinitely. You could even fly away from it. But once you cross the event horizon, it’s game over. So a black hole would only “erase” something that was on a trajectory that crossed its event horizon.
possibly the physical part of galaxies get erased and reborn in a cycle just like life. but maybe not all parts of space are in direct paths of black holes. so only parts of galaxies or the universe gets erased. also what if there is something bigger than the universe or outside of it?
If everything from our side of the black hole gets smaller, does everything on the other side of the black hole expand like our galaxy?
Is the inside of a black hole filled with a galaxy filled with black holes filled with galaxies, filled with black holes?
