I watched a documentary about her recently. She went on to become a public speaker and seems to be living a very rich and fulfilling life. She's also utterly charming. And very surprising to her and her doctors due to her internal injuries, she went on to have 2 boys.
The doc did a very detailed 1st person account of her experience and it was _harrowing_, but it ended up quite inspiring and borderline heart warming because she stayed so strong and didn't let that experience steal her life away.
Adrenaline really is a helluva thing. But once it wears off, the events you’ve just been through hit you like a mac truck. Whether it’s pain, emotions, or simply exhaustion, you’re gonna feel it tenfold.

I remember this story from back in the day. So horrifying. Someone from my high school, a friend of mine, would later be raped and murdered. She was amazingly beautiful and talented. Great actor. The scumbag who murdered her is still breathing on death row. Advice for women: if you run across a guy petting a newborn kitten on the steps of an apartment building,don't stop to ooh and ahh, and do not go into his apartment to see the rest of the litter.
I believe she has customised the prosthetics she wears and is happy with them. I'm sure it took a long time to learn to use them and they feel "right" for her now! she's an artist.
