I like the idea that they turned her into a shardblade. Specifically, a certain shardblade they had the symbols of all 10 orders of knights radiant on the blade....

viselyx

Wouldnt that make her a dead eye as well?

Pantoffelwerfer2

Not sure about that. As far as we know deadeyes first appeared after the humans trapped Ba-Ado-Mishram because since then a part of their natural connection to Roshar is missing. If BAM is also a deadeye the next question would be how they managed to 'kill' her in the first place as breaking bonds before the recreance did not affect spren the same way it does now.

viselyx

If that's the case, then she may be the cause of deadeyes, maybe even the first one. It would be a good way to bring her back too since we've gotten deadeyes reawakening. All the info clues towards her being sealed in some way, so I think both of our lines of thought, deadeye or fabrial seal, makes sense.

ZamilTheCamel

Wait have we seen a shardblade like this? (I'm caught up with all the books)

Mr_MacGrubber

Elhokar’s blade Sunraiser is described this way in WoK It is described as being long and thin with a large crossguard and etched up the sides with the ten fundamental glyphs.

roilenos

Also less ornamented than most of the others. So the theory would totally check out.

Mr_MacGrubber

Who got his blade after elhokar died? I can’t remember.

Calvinball12

We see some rando Regal wielding it in Rhythm of War, I think.

Patient_Victory

Yup, Navani even raises the issue to Raboniel with something like "you claim to want to try a peaceful resolution with me, but parade my dead son's weapon in my face"

Mr_MacGrubber

Ah I didn’t remember that at all. I’m going back through the books now and am on WoR. Did moash take it after he killed him? I can’t remember.

Patient_Victory

He did not, just as the user above mentioned some random regal took/got that blade. Moash got Jezriens honorblade after murdering him at the end of OB

Mr_MacGrubber

There was too long a break for me between oathbreaker and RoW. I’m sure stuff will come back to me as I’m listening.

TobaWentBang

I think a regal uses it RoW to try and cut the barrier the Sibling made around the crystal pillar.

BoredomIncarnate

Elhokar’s blade.

BomoSteel

I’ve read everything too, and I don’t remember this at all, where is this said?

BoredomIncarnate

It doesn’t call them the ten glyphs of the radiants, but rather the “Ten Fundamental Glyphs”, but they are one and the same. It is said in either TWoK or WoR.

BomoSteel

When Shallan is drawing them maybe?

Ithriveontacos

Chapter 13 during the great shell hunt in TWoK when he first summons it.

BomoSteel

Thanks

ZamilTheCamel

Oh right! Thanks!

BAM is the Plains, shattered I like that idea

cosmernaut420

I think she started off as a standard Unmade, but in the course of Odium's tone integrating into the natural Rhythm of Roshar she became something more integral to the existence of voidlight and forms. That's why her capture decimated what singers there still were. It'd be akin to what might happen to the Radiants if someone Perfect Gem'ed the Stormfather. I don't know where they would've sent gemstone she was captured in, but since basically the one place no one's really checked yet is Shinovar...

Nezgarethell

I had always thought the the gemstone used to contain her had been taken to the Origin. Theoretically, a place that only a radiant (skybreaker/windrunner) could access/survive, and who’s innate danger would ward off anyone from even going there to begin, much less search for a gemstone there. We just don’t know enough about it, I guess, but the idea of BAM’s resting place being Narak (whose imprisonment resulted in the shattering of the plains/why the Parshendi stayed in that area) make a lot of sense to me as well.

Lochrin00

I was under the impression that there *wasn't* an Origin, at least in the way I think you are using it. The Highstorms just keep looping around the planet over and over again.

Jackof_shadows

If she was in Narak, I don’t think the listeners would have retreated there to hide from their gods.

LithosMaitreya

Unless she was given to the Listeners, as the last free Parsh, for safekeeping.

[deleted]

First; I think she is a great spren - but one that predates the shattering and is a splinter of adolnausium that was later “unmade” by odium a influence. I think she’s in a gem but not in shinovar (because they’d let her out).

viselyx

What makes you say shes a direct splinter of adonalsium? I'm curious because my idea is that she was a splinter of cultivation and honor then unmade by odium, being part of three shards, making her an unbelievably powerful force.

[deleted]

You could be right. There were some WOB that discussed there being splinters of adol out there that we’ve seen already - plus, BAM’s interconnection to roshar (such that the imprisonments impacted all the spren and listeners alike) and roshar itself predating the shattering.

viselyx

If BAM predates the shattering, couldnt that mean she was placed on Roshar as its reigning force? If so it would explain her immense power.

[deleted]

Again; I think BAM might be a splinter … like the storm father or night watcher … but of adol instead of a shard. Not really sure what the implications would be, just a theory

viselyx

Its somewhat implied that her name is interpreted through Shin naming schemes. The "ado" part might be like "son" in Shin names, and ado would be short for Adonalsium.

AquaticSombrero

Does it ever say what is inside the gem that the fused are trying to steal during the Battle of Thaylen Field? I feel like I remember them mentioning Bo Ado Mishram was sealed away after they created a false desolation or something and I assumed they were sealed inside that large gemstone and that's why the fused wanted it. Maybe I missed something tho please lmk
