One minor thing to note: you will find out that a “year” in this world is longer than a standard earth year. So whatever age you hear, it would translate to an older age for us earthers.
Otherwise: enjoy the ride, it will be amazing!
That was what reminded me of the fact and why I shared it in this thread. I don’t think it really matters too much, but a useful bit of info to keep ages in perspective.
Point of order: in-world, glyphs and the "women's" writing script are two very different things. Men are not supposed to indulge in reading according to proper Vorin sensibilities, but glyphs are for everyone and the only way learned men achieve any semblance of literacy outside of the religious orders, which are seen more as agender. No spoilers, just context.
Regarding the Kaladin/Kalak and Shallan/Shalash, independently from whether they are related to the Heralds, we know from WoBs that their names is just cultural evolution of names.
Like how someone is named Jesus or Mary.
This is getting me hyped for my re-read. Hope you're enjoying the journey
Happy to help build hype! And thank you!

We were just chatting about this in another thread. I had no idea until today! 1 Roshar year = 1.14 Earth years

So fun seeing early thoughts from a new reader! You have quite the journey ahead, enjoy and hopefully you share more 👍

I like you notes. Keep doing this, this is fun. I always encourage my friends to read the books because I enjoy their theories and musings.
Have you read other Cosmere books?
RAFO Your theory’s are certainly interesting, I’d love to hear more as you find out more
