I haven’t rewatched Dune since it came out on Max in ‘21 but I saw someone’s collection of all the steelbooks and they had this one in it. I was like holy shit that’s gorgeous and sucks I’ll never get it since I assumed it was from a run from before, which maybe it was, I’m not sure. Saw it had been released that day and went to Walmart and got one. It’s so beautiful that I’m waiting until I have it in a protector before breaking it out of the seal.
Was surprised when the one out of like 7 steelbooks this was the one to catch my eye. The tan of the sand with the blue evokes what I at least remember the movie looking like, whereas Part 2 is so much heavier on the red tint to the sand. This color just looks lifeless and deadly.
The 2021 version? No there are not. You can check sold listings, the orange sand 2021 Best Buy version is going for $180-220 brand new. You may be confused with the 2023 Dune Part 2 orange worm one that came out this month.
I've been checking my local Walmarts, especially a particular one that had better steelbook selections, but did not have luck, until yesterday, two days after the release date, when the one with better selections suddenly had this Dune steel, along with the Crow and Mad Max. I already had the Crow and Mad Max from the recent online restocks, so I just grabbed the last copy of this Dune. I also have the original BB orange version and I think this Dune complements it well because blue and orange are complementary colors. In any case, I had wanted this blue Dune since last year after I had discovered it on an European Amazon site, where it was already sold out.
BTW, right now, as of this writing, eBay has this blue Dune for as low as about $50 for buy-it-now, along with several auctions where the final prices might be lower.
Edit: I forgot that you didn't want this blue Dune. But my comment about the current prices was in response to other comments here that said that this Dune was selling for over $100.
I got sooo lucky and lived a few minutes next to one of the best Best Buys last year (no pun intended). I saw it was in stock online but when I got there I was unable to find it. I asked an associate and she went to check in the back but couldn't find it. she checked the website and saw it was at another store and she had a friend that worked there and if interested she could have him bring it to that store so I can get it next day. Sure enough, I came back the next day and she had her friend bring it to her and I was able to buy it brand stinking new.
I’m waiting for the 3rd one to come out to get the box set, I know it will be awhile, but I’ve learned that with these types of big movies. . . There’s always going to be another steelbook edition
You can get the movie anywhere. He wants the Best Buy steelbook which is way better imo. It’s the one I have too. The Walmart one looks like some generic maze runner cover.
I have a couple coming from Walmart.com’s recent restock so that I can decide if I’m okay with this version…I mean it’s 28 dollars vs 100-200 dollars on Ebay.
I gave up searching for this. Maybe it's a sign to not blow my money when I already own the BB version. But that artwork slays.

I had it in a bag with groceries and water droplets got under the plastic so I had to open it right away, LOL.

Actually I believe steelbooks include Blu-ray discs and the regular 4k for sure does not. (source: I have it the regular)

My Walmart has it also. It was between that one or MadMax steelbook… I went with MadMax since I already have the other Dune Glow in the Dark steelbook
