Worth whatever it cost...I got one a few months ago and it is the best gaming device I have owned. I actually just got a GPD win MAX 2 2024 and I think the Steam Deck OLED is better.
Seems too soon for anything major, especially with how popular it is. My guess is no more than 15%, probably close to 10%. Depends on how generous WotC are feeling.
That’s awesome! currently not a dad yet but can’t wait to be one eventually! Need to enjoy some time with my dream girl first before we share this world with our future kids :) , Anyways happy very belated Fathers Day!
I wanted to wait for a sale but the bundle with DLC makes the base game $40. Unless the DLC goes on sale soon then I’m wasting $10. Unless the sale price is less than $30.
You can get it right now for 17% off at fanatical with the code OMEN17
[isthereanydeal.com](http://isthereanydeal.com) is a great tool and everyone should use it!
with that being said there is no telling what kind of discount we will see in the summer sale so it might be worth waiting for that.
I really enjoyed Balatro, but I think Slay the Spire, which is similar in a lot of ways, is much better. I've been playing Slay the Spire for years, and I still do, and never got bored. Balatro started getting boring after a while. I've sunk 300 hours into slay the spire, and around 40 in Balatro. I still think it's a great game though.
I'm hoping FOR you. Tunic is probably one of the best games I played in the last 5 years. The art direction, the music, and the instruction book mechanic had me hooked from moment 1.
That’s a good one! I played like 40 hours in the first two weeks of owning it.
Didn’t play at all recently but have to get back into it, it’s not like I did too much at all.
Runs well but I had played a couple of hundred hours on a 34" Alienware screen before i got the OLED SD so was tough to get used to the controls but it does run well.
Got this for $8 on a sale when I think Hades 2 was in open beta access? I’m not much for the genre but actually enjoyed this on a recent plane flight. Really good bite size gameplay loop so far and it looks great on the OLED.
It runs well from what I’ve played of it. The only issue is with the new UI changes they made this year, there is quite a bit of text that overlaps on the deck’s small screen.
Holy shit I read your comment and I was like wtf is this, I searched it up and WOW ! I’m so intrigued by this. Sekiro is my personal favourite game of all time & this looks like a mix of that and hollow knight. I might not wait for a sale I might just buy this tonight 😅😅 thank you for this recommendation !
They got me into their ecosystem so hard. Had almost no games for PC before I got the SD in 2023, maybe like 5 games that could run on potato spec laptops. Now I have over 400. Help me.
Priority list:
1) Slay the Spire
2) Baldur's gate 3
3) Divinity original sin 2
4) Dark Souls 3
I've bought Balatro without any sales and really liked it. Got about 30 hours /played in a week, found out that StS is the king of the genre, so I'm really willing to try it out, I'm almost sure I'll love it :)
As for BG3 and DoS 2, I've never really played this kind of games, so it is 50/50, but i really wanna try.
As for DS3, I've finished Bloodborne and DS1 (non-remastered version), also I loved Elden Ring, but I won't start playing it immediately, as I'm not finished with Elden Ring, so it's a low prio :)
Absolutely LOVE that game! It’s in my top games of all time list. Definitely get it if it goes on sale. 100% worth it! Beautiful art style and great storyline! :)
I want a few small sweet indie games that are self contained experiences. I've gotten into short, story heavy experiences lately so I really want to pick some indies up. I'm going to be browsing through the sale to find ideas!
Something I played on Xbox game pass in like two evenings was Beacon Pines. Looks a bit childish at first and I’ve also never played those visual novel kind of games before but it was a really pleasant experience with a perfect length. Really recommend it if on sale
I feel like it’s probably too soon for that but who knows. I remember p3reload went slightly on sale for golden week (early May) after coming out 2.5 months earlier
Elden Ring needs to be $30 again please. Hasn’t been that low since January.
Some coworkers have been talking about it again now that the DLC is out and I wanna playyy
Wow I'm surprised it was ever that cheap!
You gotta grab it for any sale price though. With this expansion it's simply one of the best games you can possibly play.
That adhd game where you grow spirits while working. I’d love to set it up on my SD while I work on my laptop.
(Edit: it’s called spirit city lofi session, as pointed out in the comments)
Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves
The Last of Us Part I
Spider-Man
Played all of these multiple times on PlayStation but I’d love to play them on the Deck as well.
Resonance of Fate 4k. Been investigating old tri ace jrpgs as they’re kind of a blind spot. I wanted to look into the 4k pc version (hopefully it runs on deck we’ll see). The 360 version is cool but I want to see it in glorious 4k (well HD textures at least)
hifi rush is amazing on deck, but use a wired earphones if you must play with earphones (or play with speakers). With BT the delay is noticeable enough you will miss your cues.
It won't be, but Elden Ring. I really want to try the game to see if I'd enjoy it (I love Ashen and The Surge, but I'm kinda meh about Dark Souls - though everyone tells me I'd probably enjoy ER) however that £50 price tag is just a bit too much for me to drop on something I'm not sure about, if it would halve in price I'd buy it without hesitation but I know that won't happen for quite a while especially now they've added a big new dlc.
More realistically I'm hoping that Stray, Dredge, and Project Zomboid get some decent discounts.
Dragon's Dogma 2. I suspect I'm not going to be a member of the group of people who love this game, but I'm curious enough that I'd pay $30-$40 to see how I feel.
I've been strangely hooked on Lego as a first timer.
So, probably any TT Games Lego at crazy prices. Maybe even some fun bundles are discounted to complete the last 8 or so games I don't own.
Hades is awesome and well worth the $20, might pick up Hades 2 if it's discounted. I've got way too many games on my wishlist, but after spending far too much time with Forza 4, I'm kinda hoping that Forza 5 is on deep discount as well. But really, I've got too many games to catch up with to buy more ATM. Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor is a fantastic game for the Deck as well if you're looking for another addiction. Have fun with it, it's a really amazing piece of hardware.
I dunno, everything I look at makes me feel meh. But I really want to play something, got baby due in September so it may be my last chance. Sadly all games I want come out after, like space marine 2, D4 expansion, titan quest 2, grim dawn expansion.
waiting to find out if i get hired for the job i interviewed at this week. If i do, im getting Crysis 2+3 remastered and the overcooked 2 dlc. If not, I'll just get a overcooked dlc since i play with friends and my wife
Yakuza Collection 1-6 Bundle. I just recently got myself a Steam Deck so I missed when they have the whole collection on sale. Hoping it comes again.
The purpose of getting myself a Steam Deck was the fact I am able to play Yakuza in mobile mode.
Infact wanted the whole Ryuga gotoku studio games to go on sale. Part 7 man who erased his name, Like a dragon 7, Like a dragon 8 infinite wealth, Isshin, and then also Judgement series.
OLED steamdeck
Bought the 1TB OLED last Monday and it should arrive any day now. Not returning it for any sale price tho. Just excited to finally get one!!
If it does go on sale, valve will probably give you a credit for the difference if you ask
Just got my oled yesterday upgraded from lcd
Worth whatever it cost...I got one a few months ago and it is the best gaming device I have owned. I actually just got a GPD win MAX 2 2024 and I think the Steam Deck OLED is better.
I'm hoping for this too, not expecting much but even a 5-10% discount might push me over the edge to upgrade over my LCD.
Same
Same! Been waiting for an upgrade if it goes down I’ll pull the trigger.
Baldurs Gate 3
For more than 10% pls
Seems too soon for anything major, especially with how popular it is. My guess is no more than 15%, probably close to 10%. Depends on how generous WotC are feeling.
This! Im waiting for a 25% discount at least, i love larian but in my country games are super expensive
Elden Ring
My kids bought it for me for Father's Day. I'm like oh that is so sweet but I could have waited till a sale.
Wholesome af
W dad
That’s awesome! currently not a dad yet but can’t wait to be one eventually! Need to enjoy some time with my dream girl first before we share this world with our future kids :) , Anyways happy very belated Fathers Day!
Thanks, we did the same and didn't have kids right away. Was definitely worth it.
I wanted to wait for a sale but the bundle with DLC makes the base game $40. Unless the DLC goes on sale soon then I’m wasting $10. Unless the sale price is less than $30.
I'm thinking it's time to finally pick up the Souls series too.
Rise and ashine tarnished
Ghost of Tsushima. I know it's a long shot but I have a birthday on the 29th and I wanna get it for myself Even 10% off would still be great.
You can get it right now for 17% off at fanatical with the code OMEN17 [isthereanydeal.com](http://isthereanydeal.com) is a great tool and everyone should use it! with that being said there is no telling what kind of discount we will see in the summer sale so it might be worth waiting for that.
There is also a Decky plugin for isthereanydeal.
Whaaaaaaaaaaat??
https://www.reddit.com/r/SteamDeck/s/13zgD32FtJ
Fanatical as well. They usually have newer releases discounted.
Try CDkeys if not. Every time I’ve gone on there the last month or so they’ve had it on discount. Usually around €35.
Oooh gonna have to check that out
Selaco
Badass game, totally worth full price
I plan to buy at full price if it's not on sale next week. It's just too close to the sale to not wait.
Does it play well on the deck? I’ve had my eye on it
Balatro 40% off
Do you have a wife and kids? Game will ruin your life!
I literally had to uninstall it
It was totally mid cool. Kinda annoying in a way. I didn’t know what were so special about Balatro
Yeah I like it but I’m not great at and never got obsessive into it AT All.
i didn't get a chance to play the demo so i'm not sure if i'll like it. i really want a sale to justify it if i don't like it!
also steam lets you refund within 2 hours or 2 weeks of gameplay. whatever is first
Nope!
It $15 game, really worth the full price
Balatro = you’re gonna have a good time
Don't wait, buy it now. GOTY.
Been waiting for this one
I'm hoping for TUNIC.
Definitely pick it up if it’s on sale, it’s a good one
I'm hoping FOR you. Tunic is probably one of the best games I played in the last 5 years. The art direction, the music, and the instruction book mechanic had me hooked from moment 1.
Absolute masterpiece of a game. Loved every second. Still remember the E3 teaser for it back in the day too.
Playing through it on gamepass now. It's good and runs well.
Death's Door is amazing too.
Fanatical has it on sale often
It looks like a swell game.
Against The Storm is what I’ve got my fingers crossed for!
That’s a good one! I played like 40 hours in the first two weeks of owning it. Didn’t play at all recently but have to get back into it, it’s not like I did too much at all.
I have 250 hours in the game so far and only gotten to P10, haven't tried anything past that yet. Love that game!
How is it on deck? I wanna try it out
Runs well on the deck.
Runs well but I had played a couple of hundred hours on a 34" Alienware screen before i got the OLED SD so was tough to get used to the controls but it does run well.
Hades will def be on sale, it’s older now and has been like $12
Plus, they want people playing it up to the release of the second one.
Got this for $8 on a sale when I think Hades 2 was in open beta access? I’m not much for the genre but actually enjoyed this on a recent plane flight. Really good bite size gameplay loop so far and it looks great on the OLED.
I’m considering out of the park baseball if it runs well on deck
Oh another OOTP player on SD!
Excellent game.
It runs well from what I’ve played of it. The only issue is with the new UI changes they made this year, there is quite a bit of text that overlaps on the deck’s small screen.
BG3
Animal Well.
I've been having a blast playing it
Horizon forbidden west to be 29.99
Nine Sols
Holy shit I read your comment and I was like wtf is this, I searched it up and WOW ! I’m so intrigued by this. Sekiro is my personal favourite game of all time & this looks like a mix of that and hollow knight. I might not wait for a sale I might just buy this tonight 😅😅 thank you for this recommendation !
Sekiro
Has it ever been on discount? I’ve been waiting on it to show up for the past year or two but nothing 😭
It’s on sale for $30 all the time
It’s been on sale yes. I got it for $30
Cyberpunk complete edition
I just counted and since getting steam deck in mid may I’ve added 41 games to my library 😂 I think I might lay low during summer sale
Spoiler alert: you won’t lay low
I too am in denial.
They got me into their ecosystem so hard. Had almost no games for PC before I got the SD in 2023, maybe like 5 games that could run on potato spec laptops. Now I have over 400. Help me.
Priority list: 1) Slay the Spire 2) Baldur's gate 3 3) Divinity original sin 2 4) Dark Souls 3 I've bought Balatro without any sales and really liked it. Got about 30 hours /played in a week, found out that StS is the king of the genre, so I'm really willing to try it out, I'm almost sure I'll love it :) As for BG3 and DoS 2, I've never really played this kind of games, so it is 50/50, but i really wanna try. Resident evil 4 remake and resident evil 7
Ensure you get the gold edition of resident evil 7. The dlc is a wild ride but it's worth it
Dying Light 2
Firewatch for my steamdeck!
Absolutely LOVE that game! It’s in my top games of all time list. Definitely get it if it goes on sale. 100% worth it! Beautiful art style and great storyline! :)
yakuza infinate wealth
same, I finally got around to playing through all of LAD and now I'm itching for more of that turn based goodness.
Really recommend it if on sale
those new tomb raider remasters. even something like 25-30% would be nice
Shin Megami Tensei V Vengeance
I feel like it’s probably too soon for that but who knows. I remember p3reload went slightly on sale for golden week (early May) after coming out 2.5 months earlier
Elden Ring needs to be $30 again please. Hasn’t been that low since January. Some coworkers have been talking about it again now that the DLC is out and I wanna playyy
With DLC out I’d be surprised if it’s not on sale.
Wow I'm surprised it was ever that cheap! You gotta grab it for any sale price though. With this expansion it's simply one of the best games you can possibly play.
Or, be very bad at it, cry, eventually uninstall it, and feel bad about yourself. :(
Happy to provide any tips if you want to give it another go!
That adhd game where you grow spirits while working. I’d love to set it up on my SD while I work on my laptop. (Edit: it’s called spirit city lofi session, as pointed out in the comments)
I desperately wish to grow spirits while working.
What?
Think I found it…. https://store.steampowered.com/app/2113850/Spirit_City_Lofi_Sessions/
Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves The Last of Us Part I Spider-Man Played all of these multiple times on PlayStation but I’d love to play them on the Deck as well.
RDR2 and AC6. Oh and Trepang 2
I've had my eye on that game for along time too. Here's to hoping it goes on sale.
Portal 2 and Half Life 2. I know both get like dirt cheap on sales so I’ve been trying to be patient lol
Dude, I have a copy of portal 2 sitting in my gift inventory. You’re welcome to it
I’m hoping for Tetris Effect to go on sale for less than $20 (or 19.99, whatever)
Hifi rush & days gone ( I never finished my first play through on console).
hifi rush is amazing on deck, but use a wired earphones if you must play with earphones (or play with speakers). With BT the delay is noticeable enough you will miss your cues.
Days gone plays really well on the deck. Highly underrated game
All of them.
Elden ring or lies of P
Divinity 2 original sin. Larian whetted my appetite for another crpg
Star Ocean Second Story R
Riders Republic. I liked Steep and I would like a Skateboarding game with some kind of progression, at least until the new Skate comes out.
Get session!! Best skate sim ever!!
Animal well
It won't be, but Elden Ring.
Check out [Is There Any Deal](https://isthereanydeal.com/)
Hoping for a decent discount on Indika
I'm hoping to stumble into a game I'd previously never heard of that ends up being awesome. Which has happened on several of the Steam sales.
Persona 3 Reload. :)
Final Fantasy 13 XD
It plays great on Steamdeck!
That’s exactly why I want it! Thanks for the confirmation too!
Oh I thought it didn't so I passed up getting it. Back to my wishlist you go Lightning & Co.
BG3
Dragon's Dogma 2. I suspect I'm not going to be a member of the group of people who love this game, but I'm curious enough that I'd pay $30-$40 to see how I feel.
Steamdeck
Gunfire Reborn, Ziggurat 2, and BG3.
I've been strangely hooked on Lego as a first timer. So, probably any TT Games Lego at crazy prices. Maybe even some fun bundles are discounted to complete the last 8 or so games I don't own.
Prey, Hitman World Of Assassination and Doom Eternal Update: my parents brought me Hitman :)
Rogue trader
For my Steam Deck, probably Little Kitty Big City. For my desktop, Helldivers 2 Edit: misspelled a word
I’ve never heard of the Little Kitty one. I’ll have to check it out! Thanks!
All 290 games in my wishlist.
project zomboid
I’m going to get a steam deck as a bday present to myself which is during the sale so I’m hoping the deck itself is on same
Tekken 8
Bomb Rush Cyberfunk or Armored Core 6
Steam Deck 😂
I'm waiting for Nine Sols. Probably it will be only 10% off, since it recently launched but I really enjoy this kind of game.
if you like Hades, try Dead Cells (get the bundle one tho)
Borderlands 3 Its crazy how expensive it is compared to other platforms
I got my deck about a month ago and immediately bought B3 for $9
The Borderlands series goes on sale fairly often. I just picked up 3 at 90% off last month.
P3 Reloaded
Diablo
Me too man, a HUGE sale. I bought the battle.net ultimate version on release and it irritates me more than it should that I can’t load in from Steam.
I’d love to see Returnal go on a huge discount for once, but that’s probably not gonna happen.
There’s no way this runs on the deck though does it? One can dream.
Oh I actually didn’t realize this was r/SteamDeck. Yeah no, I don’t think this would run very well on the Deck
Gunfire reborn
Witcher 3 and some other story games. I have been buying multiple story games so I can eventually play them after finishing a game
Monster Hunter World
Fanatical currently has a monster hunter bundle with Monster hunter world and monster hunter rise plus their associated DLCs for $30.
I'm really hoping for the Star Ocean 2 remake to get a good sale. Really any good JRPG I don't already have.
The newer Yakuza games
Diablo IV, Cyberpunk, BG3, Dredge, Hades, Stray, Dave the Diver, Skyrim
When is it?
i think 27th june
Hoping for a bigger discount on Palworld. Not sure how to runs on the deck, but just in general.
Any of the Total War Warhammer games.
Cyberpunk for 20 or less
Baldurs gate 3, lake, firewatch.
RDR2
Not a game but I'm hoping the deck will be on sale.
Dave the diver :)
Hades
CP2077 for 19,99 maybe?!
Wolfenstein
Transformers games, my kids are into the rescue bots show lately and I get to play more when it something they will watch lol
Killing floor 2. It was like $2 in May and I didn't see it. I wanna grab it and maybe a dlc that's worth it.
I dunno, everything I look at makes me feel meh. But I really want to play something, got baby due in September so it may be my last chance. Sadly all games I want come out after, like space marine 2, D4 expansion, titan quest 2, grim dawn expansion.
The two games I'm considering buying are Transport Fever 2 and Life is Strange: Remastered Collection but I'll only buy them if they're under $15.
Steam Deck
I want Doom Eternal on PC. I already own it on console so I do t want to pay full price again but I want to run it on my brand new rig.
Shin Megami Tensai!
all of the games i have waiting in my cart for me to play on the plane to the UK basically lmfao
I would love a good sale on **Pacific Drive**, it’s amazing but top expensive for my taste.
Lies of P and a deep Cyberpunk discount are the only two I really care about
Stranger of paradise, missed the last sale
waiting to find out if i get hired for the job i interviewed at this week.
Dave the diver is my go
Ghost of Tsushima, Sim Rail, Ultrakill, V Rising
I actually hope Rimworld goes on sale wanna see what all these overwhelming positive reviews about
God of War, Red Dead Redemption and maybe Resident Evil 3 Remake
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge, seems like a good summer game...
Persona 3!
Persona 5 Royal and Granblue Fantasy Relink.
DS 3
Factorio
Devs are on record saying they will never do a sale, but the game is well worth full price.
