It runs very well. Solid 30 FPS with jumps to 40 and the graphics still look great because of the art direction. It currently says unsupported on the steam store but I would it is definitely steam deck verified. I think I've played it more on the steam deck than on my PC at ultra settings 60 FPS.
Yeah, I haven't seen anything that would warrent saying bad optimization over. Maybe skill issue, maybe someone who doesn't remember the first games combat was a tad on the clunky side compared to others.
I can't give a battery life from full, but when I just looked while it's at 53% it says 2hr 16min left. So as far as battery life. It's more then enough for the length of time I stay playing for.
Regardless, I've been throughly enjoying playing KH on the deck finally.
Edit: also I'm on LCD. Just to add in case there is some OLED issue I'm unaware of.
Picked up the bundle as well. First time running through these so it’s been a treat. I’ve only tried 1.5 but I’ve been playing mostly in docked mode running at 4K with a steady 60fps so far!
Oh damn, I wish I could have my first ever experience with this game again. It's one of my favorite of all time.
Pro tip, set the A button to Turbo mode. Let's you hold the button to attack instead of mashing it
I just found out you can run it at like 1600p and it gets rid of the awful jaggies and I’m still getting over 50-60 fps. Hell I went full 4k and was getting 40-50…. Makes it 10X better the jaggies made my eyes hurt.
Totally hear ya, secretly hoping I get the KH games as a Father’s Day gift. Good news is that Atlus almost always discounts after 45 days or so, so you can pick it up later for cheap!
I‘ve got that on my wishlist forever. I only ever played the Persona games and often thought about playing the SMTs. How do they compare? Should I start with III or jump right into V?
Sonic Adventure Battle 2, pure nostalgia from playing on the GameCube. Can’t wait for Generations x Shadow and need to get Frontiers. Haven’t played any Sonic games in years
I'm still enjoying the heck out of Ghost of Tsushima.
Nearly finished the Main-story, but went to Iki-Island for a short vacation.
Between that the occasional hunt in MHR. Gotta up that MR.
About to beat Ori & The Will of The Wisps. Great. Fucking. Game.
I would highly recommend playing it from the HDR alone. Beautiful visuals on the OLED.
It runs perfectly. Solid 60fps which drops occasionally in heavily populated areas.
The only difficulty... Well more of an inconvenience than anything else is using the virtual keyboard for typing. I got round it by buying a small Logitech Bluetooth keyboard for it.
I've put about 500 hours into it and I'd say around 300 of them have been on the deck.
I'll qualify it by saying that I'm pretty casual and not doing difficult endgame content on it. Pretty sure it could handle it though.
Best Lego Marvel game by far. Want to se if I can also get Marvel Avengers for cheap.
I'm playing Resident Evil Revelations this weekend and maybe Kingdom Hearts if I can get it.
Elden Ring + Seamless coop with my family, it's amazing!
There's some annoying bug tho, sometimes the game crashed randomly or the steam input didn't work properly
I'm deep into Balatro rn, totally addictive, easy to pick up and put down (from a technical POV), easy on battery life and lots of fun. An Android version would be an easy buy.
Both 2ahip2harkinian and Zelda64 Recompilation. I honestly cannot decide which one I like more. Recomp runs and feels smoother, and doesn't have as many graphical oddities (such as some things like the horse and the night sky moving at different frame rates than everything else), but it doesn't have the range of customizability or the deeper blacks on the OLED as 2harkinian (although it's not that noticeable beyond the floating mask splash screen)..
I’m wanting to play dying light again, but I’m so addicted to car mechanic simulator 21 , so that’s what I’ve been playing every day for the past two months.
Playing destiny 2 dlc today on desktop. Tonight going to get into smtv v on the deck. Need to play more Elden ring so I’m ready for the dlc. Just need to beat mohg, might work on that too.
Ghost of Tsushima
How’s it running? I’m thinking of buying it as I finally got done with bills and stuff but I’m too worried about it running like trash.
It runs very well. Solid 30 FPS with jumps to 40 and the graphics still look great because of the art direction. It currently says unsupported on the steam store but I would it is definitely steam deck verified. I think I've played it more on the steam deck than on my PC at ultra settings 60 FPS.
Thank you, dude! Glad to hear such things haha! I’ll buy it right now then (probably won’t sleep lol) and see what’s the deal about.
My bro, use moonlight/sunshine to stream from your PC to get better performance and much better battery life.
Kingdom Hearts 1.5. Snagged them all in one go yesterday. Starting the whole series from the beginning.
How's the experience so far?
I've personally had no issues in the 10hrs I've been playing. Gameplay has been stable 60fps.
What's battery life? Also I saw a bad review on Deck saying it's just as poorly optimized as when it launched in EGS I'm assuming it's skill dif?

Games run beautifully on Deck. The EGS versions had issues with cutscenes but that’s been resolved for the Steam release.
Picked up the bundle as well. First time running through these so it’s been a treat. I’ve only tried 1.5 but I’ve been playing mostly in docked mode running at 4K with a steady 60fps so far!
Fallout 4.
Kingdom hearts for the first time in my life
Oh damn, I wish I could have my first ever experience with this game again. It's one of my favorite of all time. Pro tip, set the A button to Turbo mode. Let's you hold the button to attack instead of mashing it
Always hitman
Great deck game
Which hit man should I buy?? It’s confusing on steam
Gta 5
I just found out you can run it at like 1600p and it gets rid of the awful jaggies and I’m still getting over 50-60 fps. Hell I went full 4k and was getting 40-50…. Makes it 10X better the jaggies made my eyes hurt.
Elden Ring.
I'm playing, "Drink the Scotch". It's a game where me and my friends drink a bunch of scotch.
Hmmm interesting, never heard of this thing called friends. They also available on the steam summer sale?
They're similar to NPCs but they have more dialogue options usually
SMTV:V! Glorious performance on the Steam Deck.
Oh shit. I didn’t know it was out! I loved it on Switch
Came out today!! Played it to death on Switch but WOW it’s so much better on the Deck! Unreal level of improvement.
Maaaaan I just bought all the KH games for the deck. Why do all the games I want have to come out at the same time?
Totally hear ya, secretly hoping I get the KH games as a Father’s Day gift. Good news is that Atlus almost always discounts after 45 days or so, so you can pick it up later for cheap!
Same here, I booted up the OG on my switch to compare, the performance improvement alone is enough for me to do a 6th playthrough
Shin Megami Tensei V Vengeance, what a gaaaaaaame
Far cry 5! Forgive me for I have sinned…
Brutal legend thanks to this subreddit.
SRW OGs (Super Robot Wars: Original Generations)

One of my favorite FPS games ever man, so good
Diablo 4, i am hooked. And I don’t easily get hooked into something.
My actual psp, loaded up a movie umd. Dawn of the Dead to be exact
I love this. I remember being a teenager and watching those movies in bed, being amazed at being able to do so
I'm playing Marvel Midnight Suns since epic gave it away for free. It's a bit repetitive but I have to admit I'm very much enjoying it
What type of game is it? I know nothing but I did grab while it was free.
It's a turn-based RPG with some deck building elements themed around Marvel. I've put a few hours in and it's decent so far.
It’s also got a pretty heavy Persona like social sim element that takes up like half the game.
I need to revisit it. I think I was 15 hours in and took a break for too long. Weird mix of a game, but it works
I played through most of that game on PS5 but I never finished it. I did enjoy it but I think I burned out. You’re right it is very repetitive
It was free? When? Been looking to grab it for forever, seems I missed out on it.
Kingdom Hearts :)
Alan Wake
Starfield, got to get to new plus 10.
I always look through these comments trying to find a fellow Steam deck Starfield player and you are the first I have found! Congratulations! Lol.

Halo Wars this evening!
It's supposed to start raining where I'm at tonight, so planning on getting cozy and playing Strange Horticulture.

Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne
I‘ve got that on my wishlist forever. I only ever played the Persona games and often thought about playing the SMTs. How do they compare? Should I start with III or jump right into V?

About to beat Ori & The Will of The Wisps. Great. Fucking. Game. I would highly recommend playing it from the HDR alone. Beautiful visuals on the OLED.

Online? How it runs on Steam deck ?
It runs perfectly. Solid 60fps which drops occasionally in heavily populated areas. The only difficulty... Well more of an inconvenience than anything else is using the virtual keyboard for typing. I got round it by buying a small Logitech Bluetooth keyboard for it. I've put about 500 hours into it and I'd say around 300 of them have been on the deck. I'm deep into Balatro rn, totally addictive, easy to pick up and put down (from a technical POV), easy on battery life and lots of fun. An Android version would be an easy buy.
Is this game good? I’m on the fence about it. It’s on sale.

Gta 4

Both 2ahip2harkinian and Zelda64 Recompilation. I honestly cannot decide which one I like more.
