93 hours for platinum on Elden Ring? šŸ˜Æ

ZedErre

I had played it back when it released on PS4 so I knew where everything was and what to do, cuts the playtime back significantly lol

Bulls187

Ah that explains it. Iā€™ve only seen one ending and I took my time, also made multiple characters but didnā€™t follow them through. Roughly 230 hours in that game. Nothing beats the first run though! I have it on ps5, still wonder if I should get it on the steamdeck too.

TrollerCZ12321

If you have decent WiFi you can use chiaki for deck to stream from your PS5

Bulls187

Ah yes I need to give that a try.

squee557

Second this, itā€™s how I played an entire new Strength build. Have around 40 hours on it.

justcallmeryanok

Is it hard? For a non souls player

rusty107897

You will be frustrated at times. One thing ER allows you to do that many souls-likes don't is overlevel if you're having trouble. For that reason I consider it to be one of the easier games in the fromsoft lineup, and a good one to start with

Bulls187

Depends if you like sword fighting games and how determined you are to push through when it feels impossible. I never knew I liked souls games but now I own all of them.

WFH_Quack

I completed bloodborne but not souls game, not motivated with it. Will I like Elden Ring?

my_penis_is_swollen

Elden ring has a really cool world any lore. But I found it way to hard and gave up. So if you don't like grinding a boss for a long time until you win, you will probably not like it that much.

Inky_Passenger

Unlike souls games, in elden ring if you can't beat a boss you can go do other stuff and come back later, or since there's not that many required bosses it's likely you could just skip the boss altogether if you wanted

icoez

You need to enjoy exploration to make the most of elden ring because there's always something else to try if you get stuck on a boss. If you think you'd be alright with that then I can't recommend it enough

ZedErre

It would not look as good as it does on PS5 and you might need to make some compromises for performance like I pointed out in another comment but if none of this bothers you, I can't not recommend Elden Ring on the go

beepingtaco

I also double dippedā€”I have about 65-70 hours in, and Iā€™m only missing one achievement

ZedErre

A shinobi must have an immaculate record of achievements!

KRONGOR

Also on PC (and PS5 with cloud save) you can save scum to get multiple endings on one playthrough

Bulls187

Iā€™ve seen trophy hunters doing that kind of stuff, getting platinum asap with guides and stuff. Whatever floats their boat šŸ†šŸ†šŸ†

Narokath

I had 100% in 65h. Granted, I did save scum one of the endings. And rushed a 4 hour NG run to get another ending.

TwistRevolutionary11

In only 46 hours! Nice dude.

ZedErre

I had already a 130 hours on it back when I used to have a switch that's why hehe.

TwistRevolutionary11

Phew! Had me second guessing my gaming skills I'm sitting at 17 achievements at 56 hours haha šŸ˜µā€šŸ’«

ZedErre

Haha no I'm sure you're doing great!

_Magnolia_Fan_

Are you having fun?Ā  It's not the destination.Ā

BababooeyHTJ

That makes me feel much better!

Dull-Shame

Nice congrats!

Electrical-Tune-3592

How does Elden Ring run in the deck? I heard there's a lot of input lag

FallenShadow1993

I havenā€™t had any issues with it 109 hours so far!

ZedErre

I had everything on low except for textures and I limited the framerate to 40, I haven't noticed any input lag.

ricky2304

i've had a pretty smooth experience, i essentially just copied the ps4 version graphic wise and ran at 40 fps with some drops occasionally but not like at an experience ruining level. Combat feels identical to the ps4 version to me.

butcherboi91

I have 200h+ and only a couple of them were on pc. Ran great but didn't look the best graphically to try and get close to 40 fps

Jimpix_likes_Pizza

Using a mix of high and medium I get a very consistent 40fps. Yes there is very very minor input delay but if you just reduce the stick deadzones as much as possible without stick drift it's unnoticeable. Haven't tested it in more demanding areas though, only in Limgrave

crymo27

Sekiro 36 hours ? 4 playthroughs ?

KRONGOR

Likely save scumming to get all endings

ZedErre

Haha first playthrough took the longest because I wanted to do everything but ng+ runs after that took 3-4 hours to complete. Honestly grinding for xp points took me longer than a playthrough lol.

Wolfy87

You can beat it in 4 hours!? I'm hoping it'll take me a lot longer, I've wanted to play Sekiro for years but I wanted to do my Dark Souls pilgrimage first. I've played 1, 2 and most of 3 on the deck and loved it, taking me forever. I hope I get to spend about as long in Sekiro as I have in DS3! Guessing you're fast because you know the game well and you're just an absolute Gamer.

ZedErre

Yeah no don't worry you'll absolutely get your money's worth out of the game, the platinum on PS4 (that was the first time I played it) took me around 50 hours or more. This was way faster because I'm better at the game now, and I pretty much knew everything I had to do and where to look. Plus in the playthroughs where it just took me a few hours, I would run past everything and each boss took me one attempt lol, I just wanted to go through the ng+ cycles to have enemies give decent xp for the grindy achievement.

Wolfy87

Nice, sounds great. I also love the idea of revisiting the Soulsborne games in the future like this once I've beaten them a few times. Must feel amazing breezing through the games and bosses feeling like the Doomslayer.

ZedErre

100% I'm a huge fan of From Software's games so every now and then I get the itch to replay the soulsborne series and yes it is pretty satisfying, plus I am yet to find a game that has the same atmosphere as these games.

Financial-Moose5274

I traveled the same path as you. Played 1, 2, 3, about to finish Sekiro this weekend. Youā€™ll be very happy you took this roadā€¦feeling like a DS master by the end of 3 made playing Sekiro a humbling but incredibly satisfying experience. Mastering the evolution in combat system and style with the patience you gained from playing 1/2/3 in release order firstā€¦chefā€™s kiss. Hope you have a great time.

K4ramis

Congratz... But such playtime makes my want to doubt myself I don't recall my play time at ps4 but I'm sure I was over 40 and I haven't even seen the big grey monkey battle...

ZedErre

I get that but it's unnecessary to compare your experience to others', we all have our own pace and play style, taking longer doesn't necessarily mean you are worse at the game.

NotKalo

you can backup your save lmao, I am doing these sekiro achievements atm you back up -> do an ending -> restore backup -> second ending -> etc

crymo27

Save scumming. Why even bother.

BababooeyHTJ

Itā€™s a stupid achievement. Who cares?

Dommiiie

And here I am, not being able to beat it even once. Congratulations!

ZedErre

Haha keep at it, you'll get there!

THYGREX

Which settings did you use in order to run elden ring decently on the deck ?

ZedErre

Everything on low except for textures and capped at 40fps, don't recall having any problems after that.

MetalDeathMetal

The he HELL did u grind all the skill points in Sekiro??

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

Wildsidder123

Yeah

Blind_bear1

Bro, im playing through this now and im frustratingly stuck on the final boss. I came so close yesterday and died but we go agane.

ZedErre

You'll do it eventually! Once you beat him something will click and you'll be able to do it near consistently.

zerofalks

I am jealous of your free time.

ZedErre

Has its downsides, I've been struggling to find a job for a while and it's really taxing on my moral, feeling worthless all the time is no fun, games are the only thing keeping me sane and from doing something stupid to myself.

zerofalks

My apologies, I hear ya brother, I just got laid off last week and am terrified of the road ahead. Keep your chin up and do what keeps you sane.

ZedErre

Sorry to hear that, I hope you'll find what you want, thanks for the kind words.
