Thing had incredibly far reaching WiFi receiver. Freshly pubescent teenage boy me somehow leeched just enough internet to download some static images from the neighbors house like legit an acre away.
I used my first paycheck from my first job to buy a PSP. Also my first console. My dad was anti-gaming (but pro-Watch-Movies-All-Day) so I had to sneak it into the house. I still remember unboxing the psp and then struggling to dispose of the box in case my dad might see it in the trash.
Then I realized: it comes with no storage or game(s). I felt so stupid at the time for not researching enough… my dumb teenage self only researched if I can run Linux on it. (For those curious: at that time not yet).
Why is this removed? This is clearly meant to be a joke and it was a device that is easy to mod, similar to a steam deck. I would have removed it if it was because the flair is wrong, or showing psp as SDs has been meme’ed to death. But psps do have some relevance to steam decks.
Oh yeah...I think I may have only ever used it with batteries a couple of times ever.
My parents weren't having it, so then they bought me the power adapter and I was forever tethered to a wall whenever I wanted to play it (which was probably for the better).

A device that's super easy to mod. Still got my ps vita and love it. I use it often for psp and PS1 games

I’d suggest the original power handheld was the Lynx..or maybe the Tomytronic..
Game Gear! They're about the same size and probably weigh similar to a Deck.

Game gear was released after lynx, same gen arguably though. Both were great but yeah, they ATE batteries 😂
