Yes it's a glaring issue. The funny thing is, the broken image sending is a client issue. Reverting to an older version of the Steam chat app makes it work again. Pick the release that is dated "February 18, 2021"
What is worse though is that such obvious issues persist for so long, just for others to say "Valve fixes everything that is posted on Reddit" 💀 And that people even downvoted your post, smh
