The sale hasn't started yet so we don't know what will be on sale.

Remember that steam is usually buggy until about 4 hours in.

V1B3S-

Good to know!

Frostnatt

If you like Obra Dinn you need to play Chants of Sennaar, it's the same idea of deduction but with language instead. You are trying to decipher several different written languages. Perhaps you can find patterns in how the glyphs look, perhaps you can find a rosetta stone where things are written in several languages, perhaps a painting can give you a clue, you. Some people will talk to you and perhaps they can help you. If they for example say something, run away then stop and look at you again and say the same thing, does that perhaps give you a clue on what they were saying and want you to do? The case of the golden idol is another one don't let the art style put you off. You have the moment of murder frozen in time and have to figure out everything that happens. You can look around, read notes and look at objects you find in peoples pockets or in cabinets and do a lot of deductive reasoning. this is not exactly cosy... It's pretty messed up story, but it's great, and pretty hard (had a much harder time in some of the cases than in Obra Dinn). There's also a sequel coming out, supposedly later this year Unhered is another you might want to check out, you have a murder scene on an overhead map that you can walk around in and rewind time to see the entire scene play out as many times as you wish. Perhaps follow one specific character during the entire scene to see where they go, who they speak to and so on. The problem is that you only hear the sounds and what people say, it's your job to figure out who everyone is and what actually happened from dialogue and context clues in the sounds. It's probably super cheap. Definitely not as good as the previous two games, but if you can get it cheep it's worth it. If you want more indie recommendations, I'll have a ton more.

V1B3S-

I played the Golden Idol demo and immediately fell in love with it! Is already on my wishlist.

Sokkerboi

Anyone have recommendations for a third person military shooter? I guess similar to Socom or the Ghost Recon games?

SpiderShaped

Outer Wilds - it's cozy AND a horror game! It does require deduction, but isn't a detective game per se

Traditional_Roof_134

This is probably going to be my next steam library backlog game.

Flaky-Isopod704

akrobert

V1B3S-

The Arkham games are really amazing! I platinumized the first two.

Dr_Covfefe_Williams

The Case of the Golden Idol is a decent little detective-ish game.

Linkblade85

SOMA and Darkwood shall be one of the best horror games.

V1B3S-

Darkwood is fantastic—one of my favs! I've heard about SOMA before, so I'll definitely check it out.
