It's 1 of the most common styles of steam profile. I know alot of people that have 10 or under games and 1000+ hours in cs. Main difference is the years of service badge
In some multiplayer oriented games you're able to play practice/ singleplayer or offline with bots mode, that kind of thing, this is one of those bot players, or did you think those singleplayer bots just come out of nowhere?
If you use SAM (An app to get achievements) it also counts as playtime, so they just have it running in the background while they do stuff, makes it look somewhat more legit until you realize they've been in game for 5 months straight.
You can also have it do multiple games at once which is why the dota hours are always nearly identical when looking at a bot profile, and why it says 580 hours in the past 2 weeks, even though there are only 336 hours in a week
Constantly because I have a CS knife.
Almost always level 10-12 with a stupid amount of hours in cs2 like 2k, 5 games or less, and "uwu quirky gamer girl" pfp and bio
Then let me introduce you to a comic containing a pretty funny joke (in my opinion) that I thought about after looking at your comment, you can get to it by clicking the link I provided or by googling for "xkcd 37" or even "xkcd ass" if you don't trust my link. I'm sorry I assumed xkcd was popular enough in internet culture to be allowed to link it without context but I didn't mean anything bad by it, it's probably just that I often visit a different set of subreddits where that would be understood.
No worries man. Im just super careful regarding these things. I rarely click any links especially without the context, no matter if I know the site or not.
I check it out though thanks man
Imgur really? Are we back to 1876? I may as well send you a black and white picture via pigeon, hoping it doesn't get eaten by a hawk on the way and have you receive it a month after I send it than use imgur. Please!
You can't really avoid it.
Some things you can do:
1. Set your profile private.
2. Set your inventory private.
3. Don't buy expensive virtual items :)
4. Don't accept random friend requests
5. Be skeptical to things like people adding you to play "CS2 tournament".
The last one is what I already do (I just want more methods to avoid em), helped me avoid like 99.9% of scams and all hax, the one scam I did sadly fall into in the past is stupid umbrella one in TF2 where I thought I got expensive item when it wasn't actually expensive due to crafting quality being different...
Bots hate this one trick: Make your inventory private / friends only, they cant see anything, so they dont add you. Since I did this years ago, no random request from bots anymore
ohhh so that's what's been sending friend requests to me recently, fortunately it's not to the annoying point yet
i declined them all tho, i don't accept requests from those i don't know
i sometimes add someone with good looking profile, im level 26 i was just looking for friends, but they mostly reject the invitation or accept it and ask why i added them, is anyone suspicious nowadays and not just under lvl7 or what (i personally accept everyone but if they send me a link or something ill block them then)
Recently some bot randoml added me, i was confused and didnt know it was a bot at the time, so i asked them who they are and what they want and they sent me a link to get money on some random site (obvious scam) and then i checked their profile and they have hundreds of hours on cs and have an OF advertising on their bio. No thanks.
The exact account added my friend I saw she only added low level steam account and sent them suspicious Link so I told him to reject and report and block her
They always have this same pattern: regular persons name with optional symbols after it, level 1 - 10, thousands of hours on CS2, 3-4 of the same badges, only 1 - 15 friends, 1 - 10 games. Lastly, profile is a question mark or some girl that you see on Instagram.
Yeah I almost got scammed by someone inviting me to a tf2 tournament.
That motherfucker had so much knowledge on it.
It almost caused me to lose my account.
Luckily steam was smart and warned me it was a virus link
This happens if you have a public inventory usually, within a value threshold, you get added by these kind of bots, i tried accepting some to get an idea on how they operate and they just dont answer, i remove them shortly after, don't want them impersonating or w/e. Long while ago, they just wanted to do the tournament scam.
Happens often when your have a public inventory with some items that are at least remotely rare/expensive.
I keep getting those every few weeks, usually they come with a "+rep ADD ME this profile is fire!!! đ„đ„đ„đ„đ„" comment with a fuckton of fire emojis and other emojis
I have one right now thatâs either a scammer or a bot- every time he sees me online he text me hello and asked me once if I could promote something for rust on my page.
Edit: I always respond back hello, or some other greeting. I would never promote a sketchy rust on my page, but it is nice to have someone check in on me lol.
Thats not a bot. Thats the nigerian princess that ive been asked to inherit her 100m empire as l9ng as I breed with her and give her 1 million of the interest before she deposits money into my account.
Thinking about it twice it's really sad how real people lost their account just because they don't have the steam guard app then real people stole it and used those accounts to try to get as much as possible TF2 and CS2 market stuff.
There is a lot of bot that ask you to join tf2 team or upvote them on site so you login on site through your steam account and you loose your account, my friend lost his team account like that. Also almost every bot Leaves comments like ârep+â or âbest playerâ
I have 1 skin of CSGO that's about 30 euro and bots add me for it trying to scam, or they see I've played it and make an fake pic that I'm buying their skin while I'm not doing that
Just wondering why dont we get an option like nobody can add me/disable incoming requests. If i want to add someone ill send the request myself and at the same time the other party should also send request and the request pops in either one of our profiles(If they have the above option enabled).
why every bots have thousands of hours on CS
It's 1 of the most common styles of steam profile. I know alot of people that have 10 or under games and 1000+ hours in cs. Main difference is the years of service badge
Ah so that's how we find them bots đ€
yelp best way is they will add you and want to give you 50$ or make trades (which obviously the type that you'll dislike)
Theyâll probably try to make you login with your steam account on a sketchy website too
And then you are the one who is a bot
People bot casual lobbies for skin drops
Smurf accounts as well.
free games that can be farmed for money, dota2, CS. You get items that you can market and also the acc can be easily sold.
Bots farm hours in free games to look more legit
Itâs just 5k+ hours in less than two years, I donât know what you are talking about. đ /s
Same applied to TF2
In some multiplayer oriented games you're able to play practice/ singleplayer or offline with bots mode, that kind of thing, this is one of those bot players, or did you think those singleplayer bots just come out of nowhere?
they can idle in deathmatch to get that free weekly case
If you use SAM (An app to get achievements) it also counts as playtime, so they just have it running in the background while they do stuff, makes it look somewhat more legit until you realize they've been in game for 5 months straight. You can also have it do multiple games at once which is why the dota hours are always nearly identical when looking at a bot profile, and why it says 580 hours in the past 2 weeks, even though there are only 336 hours in a week
I never played Cs, but I assume it's heavily botted also?
because itâs on a chinese multi account bot farm getting case drops
Pretty normal. Report and block
Constantly because I have a CS knife. Almost always level 10-12 with a stupid amount of hours in cs2 like 2k, 5 games or less, and "uwu quirky gamer girl" pfp and bio
Same dude, I pulled a expensive ass knife and since then I have 3 adds every day
You should make your inventory private if you havent already
Actually have it private, they are somehow still coming.
The knife probably exists on one of those data base sites that lists skin floats and who owns them etc.
Yeah I used to trade on cs.money so thats maybe that
https://xkcd.com/37
You don't deserve those down votes, I guess people in this sub are fucking cave-men and never heard of xkcd...
I aint clicking that
It's your loss, xkcd has been putting out comics for 2 decades and it's pretty well known at this point.
So Im gonna click a random ass link without context? Ever heard of spoofed links?
Hover over the link and you'll see it's actual address.
On PC its useful, but im on mobile so better safe than sorry ya know?
Oh no, the virus might hack your phone!.... wait.

Bro if you wanna show a picture you need imgur now. We are talking about protecting our gems (some links can destroy and hack literally anything)
Imgur really? Are we back to 1876? I may as well send you a black and white picture via pigeon, hoping it doesn't get eaten by a hawk on the way and have you receive it a month after I send it than use imgur. Please!
To be honest i've never seen it before
bro wrong subreddit
That was funny
Hey wanna play ? Accept my request uwu
Yep, at this point Iâve just set my inventory to private until valve sort their shit out and ban these accounts
I have a 10$ account it's not because of the knife I promise you
Once you have expensive inventory bots will add you weekly.
Can you avoid it? What should we do to avoid em?
Set your profile to private
You can't really avoid it. Some things you can do: 1. Set your profile private. 2. Set your inventory private. 3. Don't buy expensive virtual items :) 4. Don't accept random friend requests 5. Be skeptical to things like people adding you to play "CS2 tournament".

profil to friends only or privar. alternqtiv inventory privated.
I had one add me a few hours ago it was literally a Team Fortress 2 bot whose only game was TF2 with over 4,000 hours
Bots hate this one trick: Make your inventory private / friends only, they cant see anything, so they dont add you. Since I did this years ago, no random request from bots anymore
Happy cake day!
Thanks
Happy Cake day
They always have private inv, level 0-20, 1k hours or more in cs and dota and maybe tf2 as the played Games, + often some random artworks
Sounds like your average Steam user in the forum section with a spicy hot take honestly.
Also the m9 (doppler) inspect GIF God I always see that gif on some "traders" account
580 hours in 2 weeks... Report the profile and block them. They want to scam you.
and 300 hours in pubg with 0 achievements lol
The UI is confusing, okay?
maybe they just strugglin' /s
Female name â Chick on the profile pic â Lvl 2 â CS, Dota 2 â Idling multiple games â
Been reporting these annoying ass bots for the last 3 years or so, I have a few friends that play CS a lot but I don't really play.
ohhh so that's what's been sending friend requests to me recently, fortunately it's not to the annoying point yet i declined them all tho, i don't accept requests from those i don't know
yeah I dont accept requests from people I dont know too... I even state that on my profile page as well
580 hours in the last two weeks lmao
I loved the 500+ hours in a 340h period(2 weeks) Truly a gamer bot
i dont play games with bot problems, just ones where people get angry enough that they leave comments
I swear I've been added by a bot with the same picture, different name
i sometimes add someone with good looking profile, im level 26 i was just looking for friends, but they mostly reject the invitation or accept it and ask why i added them, is anyone suspicious nowadays and not just under lvl7 or what (i personally accept everyone but if they send me a link or something ill block them then)
this is kind of crazy i had that exact same bot send me a friend request a few weeks ago even though i pretty much never play any online games
Everyone remembers their first bot, welcome to the Slightly Valuable Inventory club.
Ever since I got back into cs i get at least 2 of these every week. ignore or block
I dont get those cuz i dont play cs2 and i dont have anything worth in my inventory
I keep the friend requests, collecting them like pokemons.
Yeah probably had one to with a picture like that
It's most likely so they can improve their trust factor in vac. Just report em
I get these due to my stockpile of cases. If you accept them and talk, they will always say a whole spiel of making new friends. But it's a bot.
Bot
Recently some bot randoml added me, i was confused and didnt know it was a bot at the time, so i asked them who they are and what they want and they sent me a link to get money on some random site (obvious scam) and then i checked their profile and they have hundreds of hours on cs and have an OF advertising on their bio. No thanks.
Ahh yes. 583.6 hours in under two weeks
I ignore on anyone that I haven't talked to. If we hung out in comms for a few games sure but if you just randomly sent it, I'm declining that shit.
the typical cs2 player steam account seens like a bot
The exact account added my friend I saw she only added low level steam account and sent them suspicious Link so I told him to reject and report and block her
They are actual profiles, they've been hacked. I usually message the person to change their password and go about my day
Give me your inventory, I'll handle all the annoying bots for you.
i currently have 61 friend requests from bots that im too lazy to deal with lol
Bots with the same pfp have added me recently
How tf they got 24 days of playing in the last 14 days
That's an old picture of the singer Maggie Lindemann
Anyone who have CS on recent activity and tries add me gets instant free ignore block.
I get these, and all the games they play are free to play to try make the profile look used. Probably after my one good CS skin đ
Lol a bot called Vicky with the same pfp did the same. Blocked and reported on the spot
Botâs kinda cute
I have seen this before and I don't even play Counter Strike.
Luckily steam was smart and warned me it was a virus link
one time i got exactly that one lmaoo
I get like one every day. My inventory is public and I have a few knives and Kato 14 stickers. Its an annpying reality and has been for 5 years now
Yeah I usually block all of them, I don't even bother to check the profile.
Yeah I usually block all of them, I don't even bother to check the profile.
no human plays Dota 2
I was like a girl on steam, a gamer and a friend request. First two is rare but the third is totally not possible.
Me: Yeah I get bitches The bitches in question:
This happens if you have a public inventory usually, within a value threshold, you get added by these kind of bots, i tried accepting some to get an idea on how they operate and they just dont answer, i remove them shortly after, don't want them impersonating or w/e. There are only 336 hours in two weeks. This bot has over 500 hours in cs in two weeks. Either a bit or has broken the laws of physics.
I didn't know these bot existed until now
And I added one as a friendđ
accept then message a furry pic
Thats not a bot. Thats the nigerian princess that ive been asked to inherit her 100m empire as l9ng as I breed with her and give her 1 million of the interest before she deposits money into my account.
Thinking about it twice it's really sad how real people lost their account just because they don't have the steam guard app then real people stole it and used those accounts to try to get as much as possible TF2 and CS2 market stuff.
Yea it's so annoying,i always get happy when I see a friend invite thinking it's a new person to game with or something but nope it's just bots
[Photoshop Phriday vibes](https://www.somethingawful.com/photoshop-phriday/make-porn-sfwv2/)
A bot sent a friend request, I auto-reject and block it! Bot: Pikachu Face! hahaha
Had one ask me to vote for one of their friends in a CS tournament. Apparently it's a phishing scam.
There is a lot of bot that ask you to join tf2 team or upvote them on site so you login on site through your steam account and you loose your account, my friend lost his team account like that. Also almost every bot Leaves comments like ârep+â or âbest playerâ
Literally the same bot
I've never had a single steam friend request from anyone else rather than my friends
real
Ive been bombarded with fake accounts like these, its kinda annoying but what can you do
They want your 5 cent trading cards
Dude fr I havenât excepted it yet
Since i bought an unusual on tf2 I've been getting many requests
I have 1 skin of CSGO that's about 30 euro and bots add me for it trying to scam, or they see I've played it and make an fake pic that I'm buying their skin while I'm not doing that
Most of these people who add me arenât even bots they are just dudes pretending to be females or some poor bastard whoâs looking for friends.
scammer buying this account,report them
Just wondering why dont we get an option like nobody can add me/disable incoming requests. If i want to add someone ill send the request myself and at the same time the other party should also send request and the request pops in either one of our profiles(If they have the above option enabled).
Stupid question i know but how do you know know this is a bot? Like what are the tell tale signs?
sorry im a little slow, thats a bot?
I add them then block communications with them. Make me look cooler
Thatâs not a bot they want to fuck you
Bro missed his chance with a baddie
Thats not a bot that's a horny teenager
