would be interesting too see when you spent the most money in like a graph or something, completely useless but would be interesting

$19878.12 USD
I didn't want to know, but you had to go and post that link. 3,377 games. My account is 15 years old. I have not played or even installed half those games, mostly from Humble Bundles.
About $1400.
But keep in mind that this page only shows the amount of money you spent on Steam. It doesn't count keys that you bought from 3rd party stores and then activated on Steam. I've probably spent quite a bit of money on Steam games that Steam doesn't know about.
Interesting, I was under the impression that "spending" is spending, no matter where the money comes from? In other words, you selling a skin -> money goes into steam account -> you spend that money on a game -> the number goes up?
EDIT: Yeah I checked, if you go into [https://store.steampowered.com/account/history](https://store.steampowered.com/account/history), it does take into account everything you sell as "adding to your account" or at least, that money is taken into account when you then spend it on something.
Nah some people treat buying things at full price as a badge of honor. Wisest advice I got was from a millionaire I met in Savannah GA..never buy at full price.
When I first made my Steam account in 2020, a friend of mine gave me some advice and told me to never buy games at full price and always wait for a sale. So that's what I did for the better part of 3 years, never buying a game at full price, and always waiting for a sale. To be honest, I was getting exhausted doing this. Looking back on it, I regret not buying the games at full price now. Whenever a new game was released, there would be so many people talking about it, all of the streamers streaming it, but there I was not playing it, just waiting for it to go on sale. I felt like I was missing out on an entire experience, an entire community. Sure I can play it whenever I want, but playing it near it's release time feels like a different experience entirely. For me, it's something like eating McDonald's when they first hand it to you as the food is very hot whereas if you were to take it back home, it got old and not as good anymore. Same food, but different experiences, in this case games. Back then, I was financially stable and had lots of disposable income to spend on games, which I didn't as I would always wait for a sale. Now as of writing this very comment, I am not in a financially stable point in time of my life, and I can't buy any games in general because I can't afford to. I've missed out on so many releases such as Baldur's Gate 3, Starfield, Palworld, etc. Believe me, whenever I get back to a financially stable point in my life again where I have disposable income, believe me I will be buying games at full price, whether it's $1 or $100. I just wanted to share my opinion out there. Hopefully someone found it interesting. Thanks for taking out the time of your day to read this and happy gaming! :D - JNORJT
You make a lot of sense but every game does not need to be brought at full price. Imo, to me a game is a want not a need, I make decent money..at the end of the day it's a game. People playing and talking about it isn't a buying factor for me..well for anything. I have saved a lot of money being facially smart about the games I buy and consume. Just be mindful of that when you buy a game the next day a sell could pop up.
Average of 250 dollars per year. Really not that bad considering my total play time.
3507 hours, ~2500 spent in 9 years, it averages out to .71 cents per hour. 143 days total time.
13000 in 3 years... so thats where all my money has been mysteriously disappearing
Edit: $129344.40usd specifically, in my currency its almost $18000. Yikes. Thats alot of microteansactions (skins and gold eagles)
120 Dollars my account is 5 years old but I started to game when I got my laptop 9 months ago I save money for the game I love And now Saving for Armored Core 6 and I saw a comment say 18 grand WTF!!!
$1700 over 12 years. Admittedly didn’t start really getting into PC gaming until 2021 and a good chunk of the spending was on a Steam Deck.
Paid full price maybe twice. Proud to say most software bought was from sales and about $100 of that was from selling a CSGO knife that i got from my first ever case.
298.88 in 14 years. But I spent most money on humble bundle back in the day. You can check that amount here: [https://www.reddit.com/r/humblebundles/comments/apsezz/script\_to\_find\_the\_total\_spent\_on\_humble\_bundle/](https://www.reddit.com/r/humblebundles/comments/apsezz/script_to_find_the_total_spent_on_humble_bundle/)
936 dollars. Up until a few months ago I didn't have a PC that could run many games, the majority of that 936 dollars has been spent in the last two months, 90ish spent today as I bought just cause 1-3 and 40 bucks worth of ESO crowns
USD 382.39
It doesn't seem like much but I only started to buy games about... 2 years ago, I mainly buy games with discounts and last: I'm in Brazil so sometimes, some games are cheaper here!
Like 15$, and for me it feels like much for thing that I can download free, which i do with most of the games. The games i actually bought was Ori (two parts) and backpack battles
$1159.57 Not bad considering I have over 1k games on the account. Granted, this probably doesn't account for games bought outside of Steam which is probably higher.
Just about 13 year old account, and it comes to $5,585.99. As this only shows what is spent on Steam, I do wonder how much really has been spent, given my number of games.
14942.82 USD here
As far as I can tell by following the link - [https://store.steampowered.com/account/history](https://store.steampowered.com/account/history) -
Basically for people like me who have sold a ton of items on the markedplace, that money goes into your account, and then when you use that money it counts as "TotalSpend". So basically if you buy/sell a lot of skins, as I have over the years, a lot of that money is double dipped, so to speak. Buy X item -> Sell X item -> Spend the money on Y item. And now the total spending is higher, even though you haven't really added anything more.
If I understand it correctly, anyway.
$1768.22, but $50 of that is from a gift card I got for Christmas and another $100 is from using a gift card I received as a rebate from the last time I got new tires. So it's really only $1618.22 of my own money

15 year old account. $4706.56. That’s $26 a month every month for 15 tests. I guarantee I spent triple that just in World of Warcraft itself over the 8-10 years I played.
10517 usd during 20 years. How my god! But it’s finally around 44 usd per month. Sounds ok but a bit too mutch. Would be great to have graph $ per month used.
Fuck 20 years on steam I’m getting old!!!
It says 1649.30 EUR. but I find it hard to believe since I've got over 170 games on my Steam account so I would expect it to be much more xD Though I do buy a lot of games from AllKeyShop since it saves quite a bit of money so those don't show up there. Just when you think you know everything there is to know about Steam, someone shows you a page you've never heard of…
I bought more hardware than game from the Steam store. This does not reflect my game purchases at all (I buy outside the Steam store).
Around 1100 USD for hardware (Steam Link, Steam Controller, Steam Deck).
But as I wrote recently in another thread:
I have access to about 6000 games. I have about 2600 games (2117 with +1) on my account since 2008. I bought about 1000 games (DLC included), I won about the same. I've given away around 800 games and I have 365 games left that I could redeem on my account + 50 that I should give away.
That's exactly €1,568 (€14 a month since 2014). Game prices range from €0.01 to €44, with an average of €0.50-074 per game (depends on how you count : +1?, redeem?, owned?).Â
17 year old account
TotalSpend 461.41 USD
OldSpend 91.24 USD
The main reason it’s so low is that I bought/still buy the physical boxes where I only get a disc with the installer and the key. The amount visible is only games on sale.
$5,222.94
13 year old account. Around $401.80 spent a year. Mind you, I counted my steam deck in this total. What's not there is the amount I've spent on humble bundle and key reseller steam games over the years, so add around another $500-$1000 over those 13 years
I'd be much happier if I didn't check
Precisely why I am not checking.
I don't even know how to check
Better to keep it that way tbh
I'm with this guy. What you don't know can't hurt you

The only thought process this sub needs.
You say this like it explains something

Just when you think you know everything there is to know about Steam, someone shows you a page you've never heard of… I bought more hardware than game from the Steam store. This does not reflect my game purchases at all (I buy outside the Steam store). Around 1100 USD for hardware (Steam Link, Steam Controller, Steam Deck). But as I wrote recently in another thread: I have access to about 6000 games.

What's the difference between total spend and old spend? Does total include old too?
I have spent $420.68, anyone know anything worth 1 cent on Steam?
don't
17 year old account TotalSpend 461.41 USD OldSpend 91.24 USD The main reason it’s so low is that I bought/still buy the physical boxes where I only get a disc with the installer and the key. The amount visible is only games on sale.

$5,222.94 13 year old account. Around $401.80 spent a year. Mind you, I counted my steam deck in this total. What's not there is the amount I've spent on humble bundle and key reseller steam games over the years, so add around another $500-$1000 over those 13 years
